Void Elf-High Elf Customization Thread

Can confirm! I’m a clone of you.

I actually think that was the idea. We’re just missing the clear show of it occurring.

Vague things like showing just the Wayfarers and Scholars studying then showing some new initiates training… We’re missing a step.

Thats what I’m hoping they’ll add and then at least we’ll have actual answers.

Uh - huh you value your BEs so much you’re still petitioning for more that poaches the last of visual distinction from them.

Excuse me if I don’t see the value you put on BEs

Yah I have a Sin’ dorei to but the game does recognize the distinction between the two,

Well, If I may speculate… I think Lann is trying to “deduce” (I think?) you defending those Helfers going to the Belf customization thread with the express purpose of causing drama over something that DIDN´T happen.

Artwork stealing implies someone trying to pass other people´s stuff as theirs. This never happened. The only thing that happened was someone putting yes, originally “created” artwork for “Alliance only elves” as something useful to be used for Farstrider themed art on Belves, period. Which I assumed we all believed (apparently we went back to the old “WoOd ElVeS aRe OnLy ThE aLliAnCe OnEs” with some hypocrites trying to chastise others in here).

Which is hilarious considering the OP of this thread. People can´t complain over anti´s acting “irrational” cause they refuse to let the Belf race get literally copied as the OP explains and then make a 180º in the Belf thread implying the art put there should be “for Alliance exclusive High elves only cause that was the origina intention of the mockup” without sounding completely lost as far as self awareness is concerned.

Personally? Those ideas Do work for both races, the actual constructive thing would be to look for different artistical angles to create the actual differentiation between both races (cause sorry but I refuse to give for free the themes related to an actual Belf organization to the Alliance side only cause people refuse to aknowledge WC3 happened); ergo my idea about making the Warpaint on the horde side more “bold”, more similar to the Orc one or the Troll one (heck… Tauren need those actual Grimtotem tattoos ASAP).

I mean i literally put on Mel Gibson´s “Braveheart” iconic warpaint image as some example of what I would like to see in the Horde side of the fence in Fen´s thread (ask him). And let´s be honest: the suggestions of the players ARE kinda irrelevant as far as what Blizz decides to implement. Helfers asked for feathers, guess which race was the one to get the actual CUTE AS CENSORED WORD FEATHERS!!!

I just need my pink colored fur and my Sunwalker will be complete!!!

Sorry dude, but you won´t go far with “headcanon = canon” cause rando said so in fansite!!

That´s NOT how lore discussion works… not serious one at least. Is like me pretending to get scientific article published in “Nature” while I use pure Wikipedia sources and noting else!!

Dude… the High elf story was born on a common point (regarding the biological race). Itr DID deviate in regards to the cultural differences that made that race “split” into two factions.

The kingdom? All Horde right now. Regardless on the cries of neckbeards on WoWwikki, period. As far as we all SHOULD be concerned, everything Blizzard says is canon, well, is canon, period (though this sometimes cause contradictory stuff).

Drede… nowadays it literally LOOKS the same. One milimeter of difference on a mediocre -yes I said it… in comparison to the actual model, the art is well… “amazing” for it´s tier, but NOT good for actual gameplay model modelation) image does NOT make a HUGE visual difference.

As a scientific myself, I say the art sucks in regards to portray “half breed” phenotypical characteristics… actual curved Human looking ears or human looking eyes would had been better than “Belf with 2 mm shorter ears”.

Remind me how much did the Forsaken won? Or the Zandalari?

I´m not naive to believe the Horde wouldn´t have gotten anything less than the villain batting and losing streak they got, dude. To add insult to injury, they got ignored -again- in the death themed expac as a rewards for getting used as a plot device in BfA. So, no. Hard chance the Belves would had gotten anything less than humiliated like the Forsaken were used by Hackuser and Co.

Dude, the fact she´s the personal guard and spy for the HIGH KING of the Alliance says it all. Just remove that fanservice pests from my sight, I for once don´t believe slutmogs are THE thing.

I don´t see you trying to actually discuss your "arguments2 with me, dude. I just saw a “QQQQQ muh headcanon must be valid nerdrage cause y is muh fanfic NOT acceptd as canon lets revult!!” answer.

So you´re right, people that lies and gets corrected on their mistakes DO post angry useless retorts.

for the n-esim time:

/she would see HOW MUCH the Forsaken “won” in BfA (you know, the other race to start “losing” something in BfA

It would be really nice for void elves to get some answers.

They really suffer from being the only completely new allied race whose unlock also had… very little to do with them.

Broken, broken, broken, follow Alleria around… oh hey, she’s purple now what was that about… hey, help these blood elves with underdeveloped common sense.

Oooppps , did I do that! :beers:

Yeah, the most important one. Unless it’s another one of those all famous we are letting the players decide how they became a Void Elf, thing that Blizzard loves to do when they don’t want to explain things properly.

Clearly, this was retconned to appease a minority of blood elf players.

Eh, I’m not going to say it’s the end of the world.

I will stand by my assessment of “tacky”, though.

You’re right, playing the game does, which those fan sites have exactly right, anymore questions?

Glad we agree that my Silver Covenant reputation under the Alliance Vanguard and Silver Covenant tabard both not available to Horde are canon.

Not like Blizzard didn’t expect people to realize that 13 years ago when they were added, and even 15 years ago when High elves had Night elf models and were friendly to the Alliance.

archmage omniara in the mage order hall has ‘high elf’ voice lines and green eyes. you know because game mechanica = lore

I mean, we do have High elves, and have had them from as early as The Burning Crusade. Astromancer Darnarian was our first High elf. Then we had more and more High elf NPCs poking around in further expansions. They literally call the customization “high elf customizations” and then added a new NPC utilizing.

Funny how you’re only able to connect the dots when it’s convenient for your agenda?

There were alliance and horde at the gates of orgimmar, and I’m not sure if you realize this but anyone can operate a Ballista. Vareesa providing weapons isn’t an example of “High elves” fighting for the Alliance, unless you can actually provide even a single picture of them participating. Still no?

Because if what you’re attempting to imply is correct, then it would makes sense for them to be present. If the intention of adding Silver Covenant Ballista was to imply the presence of Silver Covenant High elves, then there would be no reason to not include them as NPCs in the zone.

The point is they deliberately left them out of the picture, just as they had for the entirety of BFA. They are not an active Alliance fighting force, and haven’t been for some time.

Yet, we haven’t seen a single Void elf using the helf customization, funny huh?

Is this more conjecture? I’m pretty sure that they intended to give Blood elves blue eyes, and only hesitated when the Alliance lost their minds on the forums and decided to toss it to both sides to avoid a controversy, you know, if you wanna start throwing around theories and assumptions as points of an argument.

I mean, we’ve had them for years. Danuser even confirmed their canonical existence when he responded to my tweet about Lanesh and his blue eyes. The very purpose of “blue eyes” was to help the player determine the difference between a Blood elf and a High elf, so whenever they added an elf on the Horde side with blue eyes, the intention was abundantly clear.

Now players can actually look like those NPCs, while I’ve still yet to see a single void elf using any helf customizations. Funny ain’t it?

Wrong? Did you actually show me a Silver Covenant unit somewhere? Is there actually any High elves present? No? Oh okay.

Doesn’t bother me who got it first, point is she’s there. c:

But if that’s the name of the game, than technically only one side actually gets to be High elves. Gold star for sec- well, I guess you don’t get to look identical to them yet. Oof, sorry about that.

Not really, I can actually put on High elf garb, stand next to a High elf NPC and look indistinquishable, you on the other hand. Well you look like a purple drink knock off.

Kind of Curious though with Sylvanas getting her soul back if she will join her sisters with the Alliance if she is forgiven. Windrunner woman sure do love those Human Males.

Answers and some buildings… We’re living on rocks for Old Gods Sake!

I can imagine the beautiful spires reaching up into the Void clouded sky, elegant arches lining the Void Portals between the five islands. The main island used as a staging ground and lodgings and storage. The second for scholarly training and a library and observatory. The third and its Void Storm chained and used to practice our Void powers and enact the ritual to complete our process of turning new elves into Void Elves proper. The fourth and fifth would be mustering zones for military affairs and construction of gear and weapons. Perhaps the fifth one for keeping Warp Stalkers and such animals for our use.

I see what we could be.

Regardless of if or if not Blizzard adds natural hair colors… I hope to see these great things in the future.

For the Ren’dorei!

Except in this case its just a matter of letting us know how Void Elves are made… It shouldn’t affect those who want to play/rp High Elves.

I hope they add it in someday.

Both sides have high elf customizations.

Ironically, neither side has much lore on where they come from.

but both sides ought to know the probable answer

Blood Elves are High Elves all of our options are HE options.

You have RP tools and player agency on VEs

Because 2 hair colors isn’t that big of an issue lol

And another character looking like mine doesn’t change the things I like about mine.

Especially since I can enjoy branching stories of two groups that started out being on and enjoy the conflicting viewpoints.

It looks better in the full image.

Also he did a better “Half Elf” job on the males.

Well, there aren’t that many Blood Elf Rogue lore characters sadly.

Pluss they could add leggings.

I mean, it would have been a great time for Horde not to be the villains and to drive the Alliance out.

But the Alliance actually starting something is a stretch apparently.

that guy used to argue endlessly against blue eyes for blood elves. that it made no sense and the green eyes were permanent. despite development stating the contrary. after all, the sunwell is a fount of holy AND arcane energy. as the influence of the fel faded, there was plenty of reasons that some blood elves, particularly heavy arcane users, would be able to have the blue eyes restored

by their own logic blue eyed blood elves can only be ‘high elves’ reintegrating back into quel’thalas and ‘high elves’ are therefore already playable and ARE blood elves. they can be what they are asking for already, its a joke

Great then you don’t need them and VEs are fine with the continued void visual distinction factor in hair color and texture
