See, I can buy the “few and far between”. But denying that they exist and that Bliz utilized the damn things a few times in BFA where they could have just as easily used a playable Alliance race NPC is baffling to me.
As I said, it is a Half Elf concept done to make a combined High Elf/Half Elf race mad with Human/Blood Elf player assets. With Alleria themed options on top.
So you don’t think they would have won I take it?
Well she is the only real reprehensive character of a Blood Elf Rogue that people know about. So they would probably be based off of her in some way.
Please stop trying to ride the coat tails of the BE story aka the High Elf story, because it’s not a story that belongs to the Alliance and utilizing them to try to say it’ll be a good story… for who lets be very clear BEs don’t need to be associated with your crusade of trying to find ways of stealing a Horde race, that wasn’t for BEs benefit people wanted to take Quel’thalas.
Are you out of your mind? You realize how many available High elf outfits are available to Horde players right? We can literally look identical to a vast majority of High elves in the game - there’s no competition to be had.
That being said, I’m still happy that Void elf players can recreate a very similar concept to a High elf, but if we’re gonna start trudging down the road toward who can look the closest to a “high elf” then you’re gonna have a bad time.
The point is you don’t have them, they dont need to use High Elves every expansion to establish that the majority of the High elf group are Alliance, this is a long game with a long story and it’s obvious you’ve ignored a good chunk of it.
Do you forget Orcs are on the Horde every expansion if thrall isn’t on the front page?
Besides their weaponry right? And Vereesa was there to lend 3 ballista to Saurfang yeah?
The High elf group are not a playable group, why would they field an army of them as opposed to the armies of other races they need to show that we can actually play?
I’m frankly shocked they even put High Elven ballista there, guess Blizzard knows their game hu?
And then we got High Elven customization, weird that those easter eggs led to that hu?
It’s almost like they had it planned all along.
It was so the sensitive Hordies didn’t lose their minds when they gave the Alliance High elf customization.
It obviously failed miserably, but congratulation and your canonical blue eyed blood elves, ill send a fruit basket to the Retconwell.
We Allaince look better on the High Elfs , err I mean Silver Covenant Quel’dorei mounts and look better wearing the High Elf err mean Silver Covenant Tabards. Then anything you hoard have, we can change into our legion armor to like you.
Blood Elves aren’t even part of the High Elf story anymore, Horde have a Blood Elf story and always have. Alliance are the ones with the High Elf story, because they’re the ones with High Elf identifying High Elves (since day 1 mind you).
But Lore, if the Alliance High Elves get any story focus, and especially become a subrace - aka: not the focal point - the Blood Elves will never get lore again.
World of Warcraft isn’t allowed to have a singular race split off into multiple groups and fight themselves. That’d just be bad writing.
You know I sometimes wonder if the Void Initiates that we see on Fathoms Ridge being trained by Instructor Duskwalker. Are actual new recruits and what becomes of the Wayfarers and Scholars after they undergo the void ritual. I mean if you look up the definition of Initiate it does make a little sense.
