Anyways, briefly off topic but I was curious. Do people still read fan fiction? Was thinking about getting into doing some WoW fan fiction where I fill in missing bits of lore and rewrite things I feel could/should have been done differently. Not sure if people would be interested in that though and I prefer writing things for other people to enjoy, not just myself.
If void elves have a blonde, Iâd like something more dishwater for the dark roots.
But thatâs just my preference.
I think the roots should be purple or tendril based
âŠIâm kinda curious as to what tendril based roots would look like. Not a hairstyle we have now, anyway.
Is it like the male draenei style in your head, or what?
So, you also want to look like David Bowie if David Bowie is an elf? <3
We just do that with roleplay.
The amount of world building Iâve had to do to DM events and help build plotlines for multiple guilds now for void elves is ridiculous. (âŠand donât get me started on Kyrian/Forsworn. Weâre still waiting to do the events for those, and mixing that in with void stuff has been some of the best fanon world building Iâve ever gotten to do.)
Iâd be 100% interested in reading anything you have. I love discussing lore, and trying to fill in the blanks when theyâre this massive. Been meaning to write up some drabbles myself about the potentials of lore, and even recently did a concept piece about how sanâlayn could join up with the void elves. (Absolutely not sharing that on the forums though, or any of my writing at that.)
You know, Iâve never really seen anybody refer to visual kei stuff as âdavid bowieâ like in a very long timeâŠ
But yes.
Iâm obsessed with all forms of visual metal and gothic aesthetic so very yes.
Blood Elves - at least, their original iterations - had a very typical 80âs high fantasy/heavy metal but fel vibe to them. (Mixed with early 2000âs california hot girl/paris hilton/britney spears vibes for the women.) Void/High elves getting their aesthetics from the glam rock/darkwave scene would just be
Iâve got some artwork on my void elves lined up in outfits from those scenes in particular because Iâm honestly living for the whole thing.
I feel like youâre missing the point on purpose.
âLetting go and moving onâ was meant context of targeting specific individuals.
I can remember topics, I canât remember the individuals who trolled or insulted, why? Because those individuals donât matter in the grand scheme of things.
I donât go about saving those posts of them to bring up at a momentâs notice.
Thatâs what the context of letting go means, because everyone was discussing individuals alt hopping or w/e and making drama over people (posters) rather than the topic or concepts.
I was in the boring Tower of the Damned but whether someone accepts someoneâs apology or not doesnât mean someone else thatâs in the wrong shouldnât still give it, I have chewed out quite a few people in these threads at times and almost always apologized after the fact because I felt bad about it and some of them forgave me, some of them completely hate me and some are some of my really good friends now but the point is itâs the right thing to do.
Exactly. Her telling Lore not to bother apologizing because sheâs bitter over Lannâs reaction to her is actually toxic in itself. Lore should do the right thing on his own and shouldnât need someone to be âtellingâ him what to do.
Also itâs not just Lann who is Lore is trying to manipulate, itâs everyone reading this topic.
I guess yeah, sometimes I think people understand what I mean.
Instead some just try to quote out of context, making what was said lose meaning.
Yeah, some people do play the Victim card though, and act like everything has to be about them. But sadly, not everyone is the same or think alike, and this isnât a thread, let alone the forums, to talk about anyone in general.
Anyways, back to the topic at hand.
Anyways, back to the topic at hand.
The only thing people should be discussing in this sort of thread is the high elf subrace potentials.
I would also like special recolors of the BE hairstyles with more voidy bits. I think they look cool.
I donât think Blood Elves should get any Void Elf hair colors (That would feel very hypocritical of me considering I donât think Void Elves should get Blood Elf hair colors), but Iâd like to see roots.
Iâd also like to see ombres and highlights.
I wish all races had different racially-themed color wheels to choose their hair colors from.
I wish all races had different racially-themed color wheels to choose their hair colors from.
Or just let every race pick which colour hair they would like, from white to black.
I think all races should have white and black, for sure. But you and I are just going to disagree on whether Void Elves should receive blondes/browns/reds. And thatâs okay.
Well, you are entitled to disagree with me, just the same as I am entitled to disagree with you. But if us two keep it civil, and not get heated over disagreements, then the world can be a better place where enemies can become friends
Void Elves should have more colors like pinks, purples, greens, blues, stuff like that because it fits much better with the whole void/emo theme rather than the normal colors.
Void/Emo isnât the entirety of Void Elf Themes though.
Plus we already know this is how Blizzard is letting Alliance players access High Elf fantasy -> through options added under Void Elf.
Same as Wildhammer under Bronzebeard dwarves, Sand Trolls under Darkspear Trolls. Thatâs how Blizzard is allowing players to play a âSub raceâ (per their own words).
Not saying that only High Elf options get added but the Void Elf themes simply arenât âjust Void/Emoâ anymore.
Not saying that only High Elf options get added but the Void Elf themes simply arenât âjust Void/Emoâ anymore.
This is false because they very much left the hair options as void which showcase that through and through that was and is the main example of âemoâ I have never outside of this game heard anyone describe it as void skin tones before because that has nothing to do with what youâre referring to but hairstyles do.
Non void skin tones arenât less âemoâ they are RP tools and are non void skin tones that is still very much your theme blizzard saw to that when they left visual distinction via the hair in place.
