Enjoy your confirmed RP tools, and player agency within that. Blood Elves have natural hair colors for a reason, there wouldn’t be a need to grasp at straws for VEs if that wasn’t true.

Lore isn’t really right on it, it’s more like “void elves; a group of blood elves that was transformed by a void ritual and gotten exiled from silvermoon.”

It still falls into my point for someone who is claiming they won and we “lost” well people who win don’t do x y z out of desperation, that’s what my point was and still is.
Which it was that person who brought up to several people here that “you lost” wasn’t it?
Neither side got the complete win but either both lost or both have areas they “won” in, but to claim yours is the sole winner meanwhile you’re doing all this extra stuff that looks crazy when it’s brought to light it doesn’t look like you’ve won.

The most amusing thing is that despite the amount of pettiness that existed before VE even had skin and eye colors denoting High Elves, none if it mattered to Blizzard in the end. They came to the conclusion to share the options and have stated neither side ever had High Elves until they decided to give a few to both and might up doing more in the future.
And I’m happy for when they do give more High Elf customization to Void Elves, but atm the skin and eye colors felt like the biggest win ever over people who simply tried to make sure people didn’t get the things they wanted to see or like in the game.
Just yesterday I was roaming around Oribos and saw Void Elves in multitude of skin colors, it’s refreshing to see people get to play out the fantasies they wish “on the side they choose to align with” as well.

Blood Elves are High Elves so the lore is there as well. We don’t have a situation where we turn into a new Void Elf.

I do wonder, in retrospect, what (if any) effect the “blue eyes for blood elves” thread and its offshoots had on the decision to give blood elves the blue eyes so they could better fulfill the WC2 high elf fantasy, as opposed to say, throwing dark ranger customizations into the mix or something.
The elf threads were certainly common enough.

Devs do pay some attention.
Likely it had an effect, though I’m not sure if it would have kept Dark Ranger options off of the table.
Ultimately the devs probably won’t tell us directly.
The helf options to both though they are on record more or less saying that they reconsidered due to pushback. They just say it in business speak. Lol.
It takes time though. We won’t see anything soon even before they said nothing more this expac.

I would LOVE this.
Elves are my favorite, and it sucks that at the moment only the Horde can make characters that look like High Elves.

Yeah, that is part of the reason I’m a lot more active on the forums these days.
Self interest! If the elf thread stays active with actual conversations, then whoever glances at the forums will note the desire for customization is still a hot topic.

we will get natural eventually , we have a natural grey black for now which is fine for me, plus we have blue eyes now and pale skin also so any point you make is mute now .
