Void Elf-High Elf Customization Thread

It is based on the lore, I specifically provided examples to explain that.

You’re so cute when you try to condescend.

You haven’t shown me anything other than that there’s nothing saying it’s not possible. That is different than showing that lore supports that outcome.

Let void elves have something. They only have 6 or 7 hair colors!

I have engaged with what you’ve been saying directly but it seems like you think you’ve been engaging with my points so I’ll do the same here.

No idea who that is but if you can’t see it that makes it even more hilarious.

There’s tons of awesome void stuff they should get I agree. But please leave the blood elves with a scrap of uniqueness please, you’ve already taken so much with nothing in return.

Void elves need our help.

My point is that what you’re asking for will give void elves the option to look like a normal blood elf, that doesn’t mean it’s a 1:1 but that if you just see a screenshot of them without faction identifiers to them you would not be able to tell the difference without going into minutiae. You respond to that by posting minutiae.

And like her in that song, you don’t seem to understand irony.

Poor blood elves they only have 545668 hair colors and more hair styles than any other race in the game :weary:

Like the poor void elves that are the only race with both natural and fantasy skin colors and have 90% of the look of an opposite faction core race?

“Blood Elves are high elves, Void Elves are also another flavor of high elves.” Ergo both races are high elves. It’s just like how a Dark Iron is still a Dwarf, a Wildhammer is still a Dwarf, a Bronzebeard is still a Dwarf. We dont’ say ‘Dark Iron are a new specifies that’s not Dwarf’ just because of a different adjective in name.

That out of the way, people on Alliance are asking for customization to look like high elves that exist on Alliance (denying this means you’ve lost an argument). Red herring that with ‘trying to look like a blood elf’ is trying to not acknowledge that there’s a hefty amount of high elves roaming around for the Alliance.

If you wanna personally take that as an attack on Blood Elves that’s your own personal problem. As I’ve stated before, there’s brown/blonde haired high elves in the Alliance, for the Alliance, and those are customizations these fans of VEs want to eke out looking more like Alleria and other high elven brethren on Alliance.

Also weird to talk about posting minutiae when you and others are taking something that is minutiae (a few specific hair color shades) and acting like it’s the big last wall left for Blood Elf unique looks - it isn’t.

They’re so so poor in their customization options, how ever will they survive :sob:

And yet a Dark Iron doesn’t look the same as a core Dwarf, does it?

laughs Yes, because every race we encounter is playable.

You continue the trend of exaggerating statements and then pretending they say what you want them to say.

A Wildhammer does and it’s not considered a new species. Jeezus you really do latch onto whatever small thing you can.

The art director literally said these customizations given to VE and BE were to make an unplayable race (HE) playable. So you’re laughing at being ignorant lol.

You’ve never cited anything in defense of protecting hair colors that 21 out of 22 races currently use so I don’t think I have to here as you’ve stated you’ve followed this convo since before even the skin and eye colors were added. Thus it’s already been shown the amount of high elves there are on Alliance.

Btw you brought up Devi, a single known dark skin thalassian in a book, as being enough evidence for dark skins on Thalassians, so 1’s enough apparently.

I already pointed out the High Elf Sorceresses in SW along with the blonde haired Mage trainer and portal openers, there’s also high elves in the 7th Legion as well.

There, more than 1 should be enough to suffice, just like Devi and dark skin.

Then don’t pretend a statement about character backstories bolsters your demands for visuals.

If I recall correctly the statement was closer to giving touches of the appearance to both sides. Again, the deceptive exaggeration.

OMG! And there’s a free t-shirt npc too! Who cares? There are a handful of npcs, that doesn’t mean squat for playability, especially when the race already exists on the other side.

You seem really worked up about that.

Let’s keep this topic alive.

Some of you guys keep saying that Void Elves are Blood Elves and yet you said back in 2018 that Void Elves are High Elves. Once again some of you guys are ether mixing up counter arguments or trying to hide of what you guys were preaching and against for years now and mixing up words again.

No you would be failing to understand the original argument all together.

Saying VEs are your “HEs” is akin to making a point that what you got was a Thalassian void version of the Horde race, it’s echoed again when Ion specified it’s a flavor of, and it’s not an example of others mixing things but failing to understand what’s being said to begin with.

You still have VEs, those are still your “version” of Thalassians in void flavor, that stands then and still stands now.
