Void Elf-High Elf Customization Thread

I’m the opposite, I think only certain races should be playable or become playable if they ever do and if something is already on one faction it doesn’t need to be on both it’s bad enough Pandaren are the same on both sides and even in game actually because I never really cared for them.

As for classes I’m neither here or there on that, class combos like Draenei Warlock I do support though, Worgen and Goblin Monk, Blood Elf Druid, Night Elf Paladin, etc.

I think monks should be baseline. It’s beyond ridiculous that a race introduced by T’PAAARTOS and whose most active NPC was arguably Blademaster Telamon doesn’t have monks.

And that worgen have to use weapons to attack their enemies when the unarmed monk mog is right there… And goblins just deserve good things.

I also think the monk fantasy should be at least as expansive as the paladin one, though.

Once again I agree except for Zandalari, I hate that they gave Zandalari Monks instead of Warlocks when they took Warlocks for Paladins because really as if Pandaren would teach them how to be Monks after what happened and what they did in Mists storylines but we got stuck with them anyway. Haha.

I think monks are my second most played after warriors so… Uh. I may be biased.

But seriously, if Nightborne and Void elf monks work with their extremely short window of exposure to the rest of Azeroth and the constant interrupting whispers respectively, ALL BETS SHOULD BE OFF THE TABLE.

Lol, I am about Warlocks but really I don’t think Pandaren would teach Zandalari due to Blizzards own WoW lore but we got them anyway which really does still bug me, it’s up there with other class/race combos like Void Elf Paladin that people want that makes and would make zero sense.

More like a group of people does not want other people to have a toy that looks similar to theirs.

This is a dishonest take. I cannot make my Void Elf/High Elf ever look like all these different kinds of Blood Elves here:

Having blonde/brown colored hair isn’t going to take away all the unique looks available to only Blood Elves like their eye colors, jewelry, hairstyles. Doesn’t take away that they have Paladins and Demon Hunters available to them.

That you and a few others personally consider a couple specific hair color options to be the last thing keeping Blood Elves unique does not make it true/factual considering all the uniques I listed and that picture shows.

If you want to make a similar looking VE/HE to BE it seems Blizzard does not agree since they already gave the skin tones (which were far more ‘unique’ before), and I don’t agree either. Yeah you can post that regurgitated comparison photo, so what? Doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of unique looks for Blood Elves available (as demonstrated).

You’re right, we can’t always get what we want. But I’m 2/2 for my requests I’ve made on the forums previously. So I think I’m getting what I want fairly well so far :man_shrugging: and not sorry to the people wanting to limit customization options and aren’t getting their way.

So in this very quote, in the story your a ironforge dwarf, in head cannon your not. OK!

This is why I beleive that BE needs more customizations that reflect their culture (fastrider tats, magister-like tats) while leaving VE out of those options.

Good God…

Did you honestly just dig up posts that have absolutely NOTHING to do with this topic to make that person look bad? What is this, the Twitter Inquisition?

I’ve been watching these threads for awhile now and… yikes. So much for all that “arguing in good faith” that keeps getting repeated. I wish more people could see this. It reflects far more on you than it does them.

You mean the exact thing they did sure I felt it pertinent as they brought up year old quotes that quite frankly don’t add to the narrative they tried to tell?

If you think that reflects more poorly on me then them then that’s a yikes from me.

I also don’t buy this “you just went back and just saw”

If you look in the likes

You liked it on this character and previously

On this character as well, so not only did you not just go back and check to see what was going on, you’re inflating likes adding to the narrative someone else pointed out yesterday

Oh, so you’re no better than them? Noted!

Edit: Just went back to see how they, despite quoting you from another thread, at least stuck to the relevant theme of high / blood / void elf customization. You however tried to all out cancel them in a way that had no relation to this topic.

Considering you can’t seem to argue a point and have to resort to smearing a person’s character, getting a ‘yikes’ from you is a compliment. I’d rather NOT be on the side of someone who stoops to such low tactics.

Once again, so much for all that arguing in good faith.

That’s good because i’ve never pretended. No more void elf or blood elf customization until Pandaren have been given more options. This is insulting.

We are just gonna have to agree to disagree!! <3

I disagree with natural hair colors given to Void Elves, but I would like to see:

  • White
  • Black
  • Cotton candy pink
  • Violet
  • Mint green
  • Dark green
  • Deep raspberry
  • White and black Ombré

From just a visual distinction argument white and black I can see not happening.

White and black ombré I’m not sure of but maybe it fits the void more.

Basically I like your list but I do sort of have to side with Magnificents previous points.

Yeah. I get that not everyone is on the white and black argument and that’s okay. Admittedly, if Void Elves got white hair, that would mean they could make a copy of me and that makes me sort of sad. However! I do see white and black realistically happening for every race in the future whether I was okay with it or not so I’m trying to make amends. :joy::heart:

I don’t really see it happening for VEs like Mag elaborated on before. It’s kind of unfortunate that they did the non void skin tones in the case of hair then.

I do see them doing more with varying degrees of void skin tones though that have been shown in the threads and that would make sense as more “HE” options if it comes with story on the wayfarers officially, it’s also where they’ve shown where the compromise lies on visual distinction being skin tones not hair so varying degrees of void - non void makes sense in that regard too.

It would be possible for them to add white and black hair with void skin tones, but I’m talking about the really dark skin tones. The “void form” ones. Those are gorgeous and I’m kind of in shock they don’t already exist.

What they need to do is put the void back in Void Elves which is what I keep hoping happens rather than them getting anything further normal and that includes skintones and hair colors, it’s also why I support void options so strongly for Void Elves rather than normal options given normal stuff is Blood Elves thing not Void Elves.

I totally agree and it’s not like Blizzard is going to dedicate all this special attention to VEs they like to present it as such but if one pays attention most of their requests are for HE stuff and then they support Void options which I think is pretty telling.

Basically this honestly.

Especially coupled with the fact that there isn’t any reason to continue allowing the BE visual theme to be poached.
