Void Elf-High Elf Customization Thread

Yessss!

I feel like we’re very restricted in movement more so than normal.

Not gonna lie, I keep trying to fly on my characters because of that, then I remember I can’t fly and just get more annoyed especially if I have to go all the way around or whatever to either get up somewhere or get down somewhere.

Tiny rocks driving you crazy? Play a Demon Hunter! That’s what I did in Legion. Man, were those zones a pain without flying.

I can’t anymore, it would ruin my completely Warlock character only theme. :yum: :yum: :yum:

Also you’d have to be a demon hunter. Ew.

(Fenelon, and I actually love my DH’s.)

I loved mine too, actually I loved a lot of my former characters I just love Warlocks more, something about lighting people on fire, then chaos bolt spamming them makes me really happy.

Also yes, I just realized how bad that sounds but oh well. :joy: :joy: :joy:

I would like black and white hair color options. I want more “unkempt” hairstyles like reflect my warrior persona instead of looking like I spend all day at the hair salon. I want armor and weapons from previous expansions to be updated with hi-res textures.

I don’t think that’s much to ask for.

Unfortunately it almost seems like Blizzard is allergic to this.

If anything, they seem more likely to add new items that are just higher res versions, while leaving the originals untouched.

That’s what they’re doing with the up-rezzed version of The Hungering Cold:

Yeah I hate that.

I really wish they’d just go back and update everything. Especially since Classic exists now. Let them have the old look let us have the new ones.

This.

The old textures are painful.

They really need to add an option in the mog interface to let us decide how certain weapons sheath.

One thing that makes the Hungering Cold such a great mog choice, besides it’s looks, is that it sheaths on the back rather than the hip. Sadly the new upressed Devouring Cold sheaths on the hip. Hopefully Blizz changes that before 9.1 goes live.

That would be nice, as I really don’t see why you can’t do that as it is.

Lots of weapons clip on some race/gender or another regardless of which way it sheathes, so I don’t see what the opposition to it would be.

I’d say let us choose for all of them. No reason we shouldn’t be able to sheath 2-handers at the hip if we want.

Also, a lot of held in off-hand items are invisible when sheathed for no reason.

I super agree with this, it’s a big reason why I really like the covenant cloaks this xpac because they make weapons disappear unless I have them out while in combat and I like that because they always mess with my immersion if they are on my back sticking out like an eyesore.

The skin tones for void elves and blue eyes for blood elves are there for RP reasons, but it kind of change the way we see void elves.

The first wave of void elves were a very small group, and i can’t believe that blizzard added blood elves and high elves at telogrus for no reason. I think that those wayfarers are the reason why void elves have human skin tones.

Is easy to explain blue eyed blood elves, but imagine if those high elves and blood elves at Telogrus didn’t exist, it would be impossible to explain why void elves got those new options.

Even if the new options are for RP reasons, they have to make sense in game, and the only reason why they make sense is because of the wayfarers.

I would love to see all the high elves and blood elves at Telogrus becoming “true” void elves, and showing some physical change because of the void like unnatural pale blue eyes (like Alleria) for example.

Ilvl up to 190-200 ish will solve the problem by default.

Of course you love it… I know it was “harder” for me before 9.0.5 but after the fixes the difference wasn´t too terrible tbqh. Ilvl truly helped closing the gap there.

That and having the correct secondary stats.

Please, stop with the false modesty, we all know you guys either giggle like school girls or cackle like mad men when this happens. My bestie in game is an exclusive Destro lock and indeed, watching Chaos Bolt wreck stuff is one of the main reasons he loves so much the spec (he literally sacrificed AotC cause he refused to switch to Affli in Castle Nathria).

Whcih in retrospective, does make all the races LESS unique visually speaking… as if there´s not cultural backgroudn that separates them from each other but all go to the same barber shop.

And that´s kinda boring… it may feel “fun” the first weeks but afterwards it would feed this sense of nothing having cultural relevance in game ever.

Indeed, those are following Alleria’s path imo, and thus it makes complete sense for velves to have regular skin/hair color customizations.

Exactly. :+1:t3: I mean as a racial group they need more people, they need to increase their population somehow, otherwise their subsistence in terms of race or cultural group makes no sense if they’re supposed to be a reduced limited number of elves.

I support changing those NPCs to reflect the void :hugs:

I don’t know why more people don’t argue for the lore / story, if the lore and story was important to HE fans the hair being visual distinction left in place shouldn’t matter if you get the story / lore you want confirmed.

I mean, I know it is strong. But I think of it like a toddler would.

I see shiny big spheres, and I giggle.

It’s also funny when I go through the portal and my clones get sucked up as if they were saying “We must go, our planet needs us!”.

Because in many cases, many can’t fathom that the change to those NPCs could go down the way of the void, simply because it would go against the wish of turning VEs into something they’re not supposed to be aesthetically.

So it’s now canon that the Amazon delivery made it to Telogrus and they got a bunch of dead Naaru to sip?
