Void Elf-High Elf Customization Thread

While that’s logical, we also don’t have any actual confirmation on this.

Personally, and I think I already mentioned this above, I’d like to see an updated Rift with buildings and those wayfarers and scholars undergoing some sort of ritual to become void elves.

One that shows that that ritual can give them regular, or blue skin, and any hairstyle with or without tentacles, and of course changes their eye colors, but shows for certain that they are Void Elves now.

Excepting that we have no lore to back it up.

Alleria’s path took an extremely long time and required a massive void entity to infuse into her.

Not exactly available to others at this time.

This is honestly a problem Blizzard needs to stop applying in part or in full to races… Especially when the stories they often tell involve massive loss of life.

I htink given the skin tones being added, at this time, showing that whatever ritual of process we use to make more Void Elves can keep the tone makes sense, though I also want it to be shown that the blue skin still happens as well. And tentacles.

This is the biggest hurdle to the “Alleria path” idea.

I don’t however think its too much to assume that the Void Elves could make a new ritual based both off of Alleria and Locus-Walker’s teachings and the void trap/ritual that they’ve managed to piece together to make a new ritual to make more Void Elves.

Blizzard could use that and maybe the Void Storm on the third island to be the catalyst to show that all the current options are Void elves.

In the future though I do hope that Void options are the focus of customization rather than high elf ones.

Or could be the door to introduce more Void options too.

Thats very true.

I would like, regardless of if its used to introduce new ones, that new ones later added would show up when you watch the ritual happen.

I’m just confused that someone advocated for the NPCs to reflect the void and someone replied “yes it makes sense for VEs to have non Void human skin tones and natural hair colors” (though it should be noted they don’t have natural hair colors so must have been a hypothetical wish) like I think the point was missed to push a narrative perhaps? Future lore additions to voidify Wayfarers etc coupled with the visual distinction stance Blizzard has shown to some degree makes natural hair colors even less likely as quite frankly should be the case anyways.

no, class and races should have their own individual identity, always

Yes, agreed. The Void Elves are Void Elves. They should reflect Void customization options. I fully support giving them glowing skin, galaxy hair, void tattoos, and maybe even floating hair options! :black_heart:

Not missed but completely dodged, most likely on purpose. For those that want for VE to not look like VEs, the possibility that the NPCs can be changed to reflect their respective visuals it’s simply not an option, even if logically, if the chance of one to happen exists, the chance for the other to happen also exists.

I imagine this could be quite hard to animate.

I don’t know if it would be so much a problem animating it as it would be to not make it look like a floating, haunted toupee.

Not that I’m against the idea, that would be hilarious, but I imagine many would find it off-putting.

In a world of men, orcs and elves comes the tale of a hair piece. A hair piece that’s out for blood.

The Haunted Toupee.

Coming to theaters this summer.

Change of underwear not included.

I just realized how influenced I am by The Simpsons…

I’ve watched the entirety of Family Guy and American Dad, yet somehow never seen a full episode of the Simpsons. Am I… am I like some kind of demon?

I might be biased but classic Simpsons still holds up to this day.

I wasn’t going to comment today just give out likes like I have been but I had to comment on this and say that’s terrible but I’m sort of the same because I’ve seen all of The Simpsons and American Dad episodes but only a few Family Guy episodes. :yum: :yum: :yum:

Oh no I agree otherwise I can’t explain why someone could see someone advocating for the Wayfarers to look more Void to reflect that narrative (which honestly I can support that lore so long as they make it clear the visual distinction left will continue to be left) and then take that and use it to somehow make a statement on pushing for more natural hair colors on player options that arguably they shouldn’t have.

It reminds me a bit of why I’m passively supportive of a natural toned jet black addition to their current Void black hair colors, I couldn’t voice my support without someone being like “I support that! And all these too!” and then they’d show all the color options they want also as if sort of jumping off what I’m saying, which is fine but people who want just a natural toned black option might find it hard to detach from that element of the HE community who will use that small want to finesse for options people aren’t as supportive of (and this isn’t saying a natural toned jet black option is universally supported either just there is a difference between saying I want a white and black only vs “all” the natural hair options.”) at least imo, and to some I’m sure. Though I see the visual distinction argument against it too so idk.

Anyways it reminds me of that, the lore (arguably what should be the most important since I recall so many HE fans talking about it being the lore they loved not just wanting BEs on Alliance) but the lore can’t even be argued for without someone trying to make it about an issue which is separate.

But like you said it was probably for the reason you said, the idea of the Wayfarers being voidified probably caused that response idk.

Personally I don’t mind if they got that lore addition so long as they changed Alleria to reflect the void and the NPCs in question as well. But I’m also fine with them being RP options indefinitely.

There will be … HELL TOUPE…

Probably. But a girl can dream.

void elves being canonically impure and an allied race should never have customization options equal to a core race like blood/high elves on the horde.

the expectation is honestly entitled

these things will never, ever be equal

I agree. I don’t think that people asking for natural hair colors are interested in lore to be honest.

I have all i need to make my void elves look like “high elves” if i want to. My issue with void elves are their lore, i don’t like that i know so little about them. I don’t know if they were horde for some period of time, and is weird to play with a race that was part of the other faction.

Now i can headcanon that my velf is a wayfarer and i’m fine with visual distinction like hair colors.

This would very nice.

I would like to see them choosing the skin color, learning how to revert the corruption on their skin, and some of them choosing to keep blue skin and tentacles.

I don’t like that blue skin and tentacles are forced on them. This would make blue void elves more interesting to me, if my charcter can choose to be blue.
