World of warcraft is a game of factions dude, sorry. Thats the game you’re playing. It is Alliance vs Horde, and no, the factions aren’t dead. People’s perception is simply skewed.
Well…yeah…thats why she is unique. She went through a different process. not like it matters anyway.
The game designers certainly think so, that’s why I can openly kill Alliance members now as ally, and mercenaries exist. Hate to tell you, Alliance vs. Horde is a very antiquated idea and won’t be around much longer.
Yeah, no, that isn’t why Mercenary mode exists. Mercenary mode exists, because the Alliance was spanking the Horde so badly in WoD the queues were close to an hour in length. 65% win rate meant no one was PvPing as Horde.
Yeah, people said the same thing in MoP.
6 years later? Factions still in
Yes, I have always been very clear on this, I prefer Horde and Blood Elves and also manage to support the HE community with a few minor differences of opinion as of late, like I believe core races should be taking precedence and they seem to think for the most part they should be on the same customization schedule as core races, I also think VE fans of Void things should take precedence before more HE customizations for VEs. I’ve also been very clear on being a Blood Elf fan, and I have always disagreed with people’s attempts at argument against Blood Elves being Horde in all the forms the argument takes form (there’s several, neutrality, to just plain they shouldn’t have happened, to they make no sense).
Regardless I’m unsure what your single emoji comment is meant to convey.
Prior to receiving fair tones they had like a dark purple, dark gray and the same blueish grey repeated 4 times as well as 2 shades of dark blue 2 shades of dark purple and 2 shades of an oily green off black color, and only half of these were flattering.
I personally would have been happier with lighter pastel colors with proper black and white colors and fair tones with signs of corruption to add just a little more than dark and grey.
But this is an expansion of player agency where Blizzard has given Void Elves literally every skin tone and it wouldn’t surprise me if they gave over every hair color in the process. But as someone with a more moderate outlook, I’d rather they got a couple more subtle, universal colors like a cooler blonde and a subtle brown, leaving the bright golden blondes and crimson red for Blood Elves as aesthetically and thematically they don’t fit Void Elves.
So tldr; Void Elves could use a couple more options, but this doesn’t have to mean copying and pasting everything from Blood Elves, if anything.
Unfortunately that is exactly what players on the alliance are demanding, because to many, it is correcting what they felt was the wrong decision in TBC.
Well, I disagree with them to an extent as the Blood Elf concept grew with the Horde and there are obviously certain aesthetics that should remain with the Horde. Like a sun kissed Void Elf with bright crimson hair and green eyes makes to sense to me, nor does it even make sense for a High Elf.
Void Elves should only have access to more subtle and neutral colors for traditional looks, with anything extra pertaining to the cooler end of the color spectrum.
I mentioned this in the customization thread but Blizzard could just as easily give Void Elves the same colors that Kul Tirans have since they seem to use nearly identical hair textures as Void Elves (just in different colors) according to Talendrion.
Here’s an example of Void Elves using the Kul Tiran hair textures/colors:

They fit perfectly and require very little actual work to share with Void Elves. Even the hair adornments are included.
Here’s a comparison of the textures:

Any effort required to adapt the Kul Tiran hair textures to Void Elves would be very minimal, and it’s one less thing to copy directly from Blood Elves.
