Void Elf Hair

Auric is still an Alliance NPC. He acts as the representative to make certain non-Horde aligned High Elves may still safely visit the Sunwell without issue. Your misrepresentation of him is disingenuous.

Have you seen some of the new night elf customization? They scream nightborne (maybe because nightborne are basically just night elves on the Horde). Haircut, hair color, earrings, skin color.

Yes! Maybe you should play Horde sometime besides playing to the MHP meme?

No no no no I do not want high elves I want void elves. I do not really like the human skin colors on VOID elves not HIGH elves, but adding blonde? Might as well just give us high elves.

What’s with the personal attack?

I do play Horde. I play both sides. This is a forum posting alt. I’m aware the Horde allied with Kul Tiran pirates in the War Campaign. Bit fuzzy if they killed them or not, I vague recall that outpost being attacked at some point.

Anyways, if there are humans in the Horde, and Horde players want humans, let them have it. I don’t see a reason not to. Doesn’t take anything away from me. Just gives me more options of what to play on my Horde characters.

That’s exactly what Blizzard is doing in a round about way. They are giving us the options to make High Elves out of Void Elves. Don’t worry though, they aren’t taking away the void-themed hair and skin colors. Just expanding the options available.

You don’t have to use those High Elf customization options if you don’t want to!

This is something I don’t get; people acting as if void elves getting blond hair somehow removes the void from them. The void options still exist. I think the only real worry would be that no one uses them anymore, but if that happens its just proof that they weren’t great to begin with.

I know I’ll still be using them on certain characters. My Void Elf Warlock looks amazing right now. I can’t seem myself changing much, if anything, about him when the new options go live.

Except nobody on Ally would care at all if you did this. That’s the whole problem. Everybody wants blood elves. By some census data from third party sites blood elves make up almost 40% of the horde, 40% for a single race. Yes they were given to horde, but Blizzard saw the importance in both factions having that model and gave it to both, though did so ignorantly by not making them what the Alliance has been asking forever. If they gave the horde every single model that the alliance had, we would STILL be okay if we got high elves/ally blood elves in their entirety, that’s the problem.

We did get some night elf forsaken join the horde in BFA… why not get those night elf customizations on horde?

What’s with the snarky attitude?

Yeah…this…never happpens.

We both know it won’t happen. Blizzard has a history of giving in to Alliance complaints

It is because it does take away from the void elf theme. Why are you playing a void elf, if you don’t look like one? Let alone that it screws over blood elf players because unlike void elves, they don’t get a second theme. People are myopic, they don’t care about anything beyond what they want.

Ahahahahaah
Okay.

Have you seen anybody saying they’d be upset about this? Every post I’ve seen says we wouldn’t care. I’d love to see a couple of forums where alliance members would be opposed to this for getting blood elves.

I am not interested in a game of anecdotes mate.

So you haven’t seen a single forum post is what I’m reading from this, cause that’s the truth. And again, let’s break down the numbers, up to 40% of a single faction is a single race. Out of 9 races. Arcane torrent is no longer incredibly overpowered. People want to play blood elves, period. There is no reasonable argument for keeping them specifically for the horde. Blizzard has already agree with me on this by the way, that’s why we have void elves. And we’re getting fair skinned ones in 9.0. The only argument to be made here is why shouldn’t void elves get more natural hair colors.

And it doesn’t affect your ability not to be Blonde.

And besides the devs have stated the additions of these options are to fill the High Elf niche. On both factions.

I know, I just feel like they should focus on giving us more voidy options.

Ren’dorei and Sin’dorei are technically High Elves, these options just make them look more the part. I don’t think they should tone the Void Elves down anymore though, these new options give the High Elf fantasy while retaining the Void Elven look.

Well, yes and no? Those hairstyles aren’t very high elf, most of them anyways, and the hair colors, well, you can’t have the high elf fantasy without blond hair.

I think that’s fine and it differentiates them from their Horde counterparts.

Fair skinned or not your character is still corrupted by the Void, some part of their appearance should reflect that.

But the high elf fantasy doesn’t really have anything to do with the void, let alone being corrupted by it. So, which is it? Is this the high elf fantasy, or the void elf fantasy toned down?
