im not trading our last vestige of uniqueness…for an eye color. void elves can keep purple and you know they will use blood elves getting purple to justify stealing our hair colors. no thanks
I definitely want to see the other ARs get more options too. Being on the same faction as their parent races inheriting customization options definitely shouldn’t be nearly as big an issue, along with some new stuff and adapting npc options in the Nightbornes case.
Blood elves has green eyes, with a lot of more varieties of it and other eye colors, let VE have the void looking purple eyes.
It would have been neat, if in the beginning, someone had the vision of… allowing some flexibility with the factions and races, where based on current story a race could change factions or a third faction could start even. The moving pieces of the story, the customization features, I notice the players love this stuff. At times WoW can feel stiff with some of its foundation.
Like, you create a warrior. That character will ALWAYS be a warrior. What if they had some life change and wanted to pursue the rogue or hunter class? I guess you’d just have to start a second file (character).
Oh varsity snax. Your post makes 0 sense. You should stick to blind inviting people to your guilds. You’re good at that.
'Cause they ain’t, baby doll. Just 'cause they look the same doesn’t mean they are, or have you forgotten that there are Tushui & Huojin Pandaren?
Because we didn’t get anything else other than accessories for customization. Did we get scars? Nope. Did we get tattoos or indentations like BC box art? No. Did we get anything neat involving anything else? No. We got some jewelry.
And the males didn’t even get that much. All they got was skin colors, hair styles, hair colors, and ear options. So as of right now? Yes. That is all our identity is.
Kill all high elves. Kill kill kill.
Nah, baby doll.
Blood Elves have a whole history, culture, and religious practices behind them too. How you look doesn’t mean jack.
Added facial hair as well.
But if skin and hair slapped on a model is the only thing making a blood elf to you… that’s sad to me.
I can see justifying that as a goblin with 4 extra hairstyles and a new pair of eyes, but let’s admit that void elves don’t deserve to copy-paste an entire race, yeah?
an undead hunter with a portrait of a BE, interesting… Still, you’d best start with the ex-high elves that resides in qual’thalas
You look like you’re trying to be a high elf paladin. Ouch. Gonna have to camp you.
Except that they didn’t. They have their own hair styles, poses, voice lines, etc.
Again, Pandaren on both factions. I ain’t never heard of a Panda player crying about lost identity because another Panda on the opposite faction looks like 'em.
Your welcome to try…
You might think how we look doesn’t mean anything but I disagree. Because we should have gotten those customizations reflecting that religion, culture, and history. We should have gotten scars from the scourge, among other things. We should have gotten tattoos reflective of our magical history and Farstrider’s. We should have gotten a lot. We didn’t. We got…some bracelets no one’s gonna see, some necklaces which are entirely impractical because there’s a big point right at the neck’s center, and the option to make it silver as opposed to gold.
Woo…
Except that they did. All the blood elf skin tones were copy-pasted to void elves. They didn’t even get void customization, just “high elf.” It’s trash.
Pandaren released as such. They weren’t a unique race for 13 years beforehand.
I didn’t say it was or wasn’t. You asked how is “hair and skin your identity”. I told you, because that’s all we got. And if you’re grasping at facial hair as some kind of all identifying thing of identity, then I feel sad for you too. I guess we’re even.
Then keep advocating for Blizz to do more, instead of trying to bash another race players enjoy. I mean, I learned how to share in bloody kindergarten for Profit’s sake.
Uh, nope? There ain’t no playable High Elves in the game.
Blood Elves were High Elves, and Void Elves were Blood Elves.
Are you blind? I’m playing one right now.
