Well it’s super easy to make up claims to support your opinion. If you did report it to authorities, they would have given you they very first step of blocking them from contacting you. If they continued to do so, they would then ask you if you felt your life was in danger, if you said yes, then they would have you file for a restraining order, which is an order that BOTH parties have to have zero contact with each other and have to stay more than X number of yards away from each other. If one or both of the party members of the order violate it, they are then guilty of breaking the law, are subject to being arrested and all of the things that go along with that. Like if you tried to contact them, you’d be breaking the law.

Last I checked, but it’s been a long long while, you can buy time from time cards and your account can be gifted gold to buy more play time. Also, you could just buy a prepaid visa and use that. This would require ID to absolutely confirm you are allowed to. Otherwise, your bank card would work as your ID for purchasing alcohol.
last I checked you needed to give them enough information for law enforcement to track you down regardless of what you THINK you could get away with.

Ive had numerous death threats over the last few years, mostly because I am a Conservative who believes in my constitional rights and some leftists think they can actually intimidate me if they start making threats.
I dont react to threats like people apparently think I should.
ive told a long list of people on the web to keep their threats to themselves. The second time it happens I forward it to law enforcement, including the FBI.
I cant even remember how many times Ive had to do that.

I build websites, forums like this and social media websites for a living. I KNOW what can be done by someone who has any knowledge of the web at all.
Ask the guy who kept hacking my websites a few years ago just how fast I was able to track him to Lima, Peru just sitting here in my living room, get his personal email and send him a very polite email telling him to kindly stop hacking my websites.
IF I were a bad actor I could do a lot more than just send emails…we DONT NEED to give more information just because you got dissed or someone ganked you and laughed at you afterward.

I don’t use Twitter, but I assume “getting ratio’d” is when someone posts an opinion, but then the contrasting opinions are overwhelmingly supported with some variation of points; karma, upvotes, likes, retweets, etc.
A tweet that states an opinion that is so overwhelmingly disliked it generates more responses than likes has a poor like-to-response ratio, or “getting ratio’d”. In general, tweets with widespread support will have a like count that vastly out-paces the number of people that bother to respond.
If blizzard was actually much more liberal with the banhammer the forums wouldn’t be as bad. there’s a person that I have seen several times that all they do is exist to bash blizzard to make false accusation they’ve been banned several times but still haven’t been permanently banned.

There actually were quite a few people that supported the idea. I think some straw polls were done back then on it all and a good 20-25% of players were okay with it. Like I said earlier, a good chunk of players that were against it were probably like “Oh no! Now people won’t give me preferential treatment because they will know I’m not some cute egirl playing a blood elf dancing in the Goldshire inn!” or “Oh no, people will actually know that I’m unemployed and never went to college, but I want to talk and act like I have a life and make lots of money!”
not even a good try. I tracked down a hacker using LEGAL tools at my disposal thru my hosting account to do just that.

Even a basic freebie forum package shows the IP address of every post we make.
That IP address can be used to track anyone right to their front door…which is why so many services to cloak IP addresses exist.
Pretty much any REAL webmaster has tools at his disposal to track incoming internet traffic to its source.
Hosting companies leave MOST of my security and making sure MY websites arent being fooled with to me. They simply offer anti virus and some very basic coverage.
IF someone is simply stealing bandwidth…Its on ME to find out who it is and block them.
