The key to dealing with underperforming players is to leave group.
yep, exactly. top healers did not ask for this. even reasonably competent healers mostly didn’t ask for it – most of us were happy pressing dps abilities when healing wasn’t required.
this is exactly what the forum whiners requested, and the outcome is exactly what the rest of us predicted it would be: things are more or less unchanged for decent healers, and absolutely miserable for lowered skilled healers.
@Fauxstrasza If you don’t think healer is the most important role in M+ then you are a fool.
Gear gets prioritized for DPS by RWF guilds because the main bottleneck is beating the enrage timer.
Raids are also NOT what we are talking about here, so your entire point is moot.
Take a look at the group finder. Healers are less common than tanks these days. The amount of groups with tanks & full dps looking for healers is about 2x as much as healers looking for tanks.
Educate yourself.
Better play resolves most healing issues. The bottleneck remains dps. Then stuff becomes one shots, so it’s a defensive check.
Power Word: Life, the “oh sh*t” heal that can only be used sub 30% (50% as Oracle) crits for 1.6 mil. At 5.2mil HP that is 30.76% of my total HP.
Rapture CD boosted power word shield absorbs 1.7 mil. Again, just over 30% of my total HP.
You are clearly misinformed and basing your opinions on very old or non-existent knowledge of the game & classes.
Healing actually feels a little easier this xpac, but that could be because I’ve only been playing my rsham and we can cheese a bunch of mechanics with our toolkit, so take that with a grain of salt. I can commiserate with this post. I think one of the most annoying problems for me is tanks not waiting on mana. They will pull with sub 50% mana and nearly die if I continue to drink through the pull. And the DPS players just say “GO” on the rare chance they do give me a moment.
Common non-crit setup is like 2m for me. More than that really. Often there’s amplifiers to healing spells.
It was the Resto Shaman guide writer for wowhead that was responsible for this.
He kept on bleating about it, and all the WoW devs do these days is keep their eyes glued to twitter and do whatever people there tell them to do.
I don’t see an issue with the changes from DF to TWW. Healers get to heal. (Feels far less spiky for now.)
Now try healing in arena… where your eyes need to watch health bars, positioning realitive for other players. Team mate CDs and defensives… enemy CDs, interupts, and defensives. While also watching enemy DRs so you dont have a bad CC on another player.
But with that being said… its also what makes healing so satisfying. Become a good healer and your list of people who PM you as you log in to play becomes never ending.
If it feels that way then it’s because you are stuck doing +2’s and haven’t set foot in any key above +4.
Damage is far more spiky now than it’s ever been.
There, and weirdly some of the class discords. A few of the devs directly respond to people in those. And then, some of the streamers they directly talk to as well.
But, you know, they never want to communicate in their official forums. Would be too much to ask to have some actual communication where it’s expected.
I’m doing 10s.
And claiming this while posting on an alt with zero history of M+.
You are all talk. Like a small child who’s never been put in time-out.
This alt has a history of m+, you can even check achievements or Rio.
I’ll even help you:

Your account history instead shows you don’t have similar experience?
Looks like you need to get a job and move out of your parents basement.
Do you just keep throwing insults?
Just curious, why post this on the character that isn’t doing 10s? Is it a privacy thing?
Sounds like someone who never actually pushes content, and only waits to outgear whatever it is they are running lol.
???
Of COURSE the only way to stop healers from having to dps to by making the healing part harder. What else are they gonna do, straight up remove all damage spells from healers? Are you slow?
Post history gets reset if server transfers, or main swaps. (Server transfers are less of a thing now that it’s cross realm.)
But say, I post on a main, then want to server transfer or class swap, post history [might] vanish. I think having an easily accessible post history is better.
