Doing the Venthyr Assault in the Maw. Turned in two quests, finished the third turned it in and then went to do that last quest (champions). On the way to the champions on the upper level I was disconnected. Upon reconnection, the Venthyr Assault completion count was 2/4. Was previously 3/4. Finished the champions quest and turned it in to Renathal under the stairs (where I turned in the previous ones). I am now at 3/4 with no quest available to complete the assault. What do I do? Completely abandon and redo the entire chain?
Weâve seen several reports on this and it is being looked into. Try leaving the Maw completely and returning, that is helping in some situations.

Hearthed to Oribos, logged out and back in then jumped back into the maw. The quest is now complete at 4/4. Thank you.

I had the same problem.
And I too got DCâd in the middle of doing the Assault.
I am stuck at 3/4 at this point and no way to progress to the end!
Iâll try the Oribos idea, but I am not optimistic. In fact, this all happened to me last night, and since then I have logged out, overnight, back to Covenant, and Oribos. So I canât think of any other ways to reset that counter.
And there are no more quests showing⊠I did all 4 of them last night. 
I to have a similar problem I had finished the 4 champions and had the dude through me back down from the ramparts and just as I got to the bottom I DCâed and have not been able to get back on to finish the assault and turn in my quests every time I try to log back on I DC again.

The problem is only on my character EDWARDDARK. My other characters load properly. Iâve reinstalled WOW but problem remains.
Try using the self-service stuck option. Itâll move your character which should stop the disconnects upon logging in.
I am having the same issues. Got the disconnect bug. Died only to find I lost quest progress as I had finished all 4. Tried going back to Oribos, logging out then back to the maw with no luck. I can not progress, totally stuck
Still no fixâŠAssault ends today.
Not much can be done via the forums as the blues here donât handle changes to the game, nor they can really force something to pop or give credit for quests.
There have actually been several hotfixes implemented to help address the issue, but obviously we are still seeing some reports of folks running into issues. It is still being looked into, but Iâm afraid I donât have any other information at the moment.

Maybe they canât in todayâs Blizz. But how is this different from when I would do guild achievement runs in Cata and when we opened up tickets to say we met the requirements and didnât receive credit a GM would âjust force something to pop or give creditâ? It was/is entirely possible for GMs (if they still exist) to force a quest/achievement completion if the data reflects you completed the quest.
It has nothing to do with âtodayâs Blizzâ or other narratives that folks try to sell.
A Game Master cannot just do whatever. They have policies and procedures that they must follow and it has always been this way.
Generally speaking, a Game Master is not able to assist with quest completion, those are usually hands-off. When they are able to assist they have specific policies in place that allow them to. That tends to be determined by the issue itself, the ability to verify completion, volume, and impact, steps needed to be taken to âresolveâ the issue, etc. . . .
At this time, we are not able to verify and grant credit for these. Sorry.

You can get offended and deflect all you want. Something as simple as quest tracking shouldnât be too hard for a 17 year old game that has always had quests. And personal experience over powers any âpoliciesâ we arenât privy on. Old ticket system/data tracking often allowed GMs to âauto completeâ quests/achievements I did without needing to redo them. I highly doubt I received special treatment from rogue GMs breaking protocol. I fully agree that they are not able to do this in âtodayâs Blizzâ. Maybe make Assaults actual quests so I can abandon and redo instead of missing the rewards for this one.
Unless youâre there and work with the systems they work with, you donât know how simple or difficult something may be.
What was may not be available now. Again, you donât work there, you donât know what policies are in place nor what technical things are open and available to the GMs. They have rules they have to follow, and none of us are worth them losing their job to âflip a switchâ.
As for the rest, if you have actual suggestions or ideas you wish to put forward, General Discussion or the in-game interface is the way to go. This forum is not one that GMs nor Devs frequent, so your thoughts fall on deaf ears here as this is a forum for players to assist other players. Vrak is not a GM, so prattling on about âtodayâs Blizzâ is just hyperbole and has no place here.
