Venruki Bashes New Vendors

The thing is that Ion is like a standard polotician, he just says things that are completly disconected from reality because there are no consequences for doing so. They are way too confortable with putting out trash at this point. I think they need to clean house or nothing will change.

Only way massive change happens is when they can see dropping income. It takes players quitting en masse for them to really care…otherwise they assume it’s “good enough”…which is objectively true…otherwise we’d quit.

Gone are the days of striving for excellence I suppose. Now it’s just about ‘good enough’.

I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this…

Firstly, stat diminishing returns are terrible for the game, they don’t make sense and make relying on addons to determine BIS gear even more important

Even if what you are saying about different stat combos was a reality (which it most likely won’t be) then you would still expect to be able to get PvP gear through PvPing which is completely separate to what you are saying, the vast majority of complains is that PvE gears for PvP way more efficiently, way more fast and way better than PvP does for PvP and that has only been the case for BFA, in every prior expansion we had another way of making PvP gear best in PvP (WoD iLvl scaling and prior to that PvP power/resistance)

You are right that we do not know yet exactly how things will be implemented in SL, BUT after BFA Blizzard has lost the benefit of the doubt based on how abysmal the result was.

That’s actually false. In BC and Wrath pve players were required to arena to get
Weapons at the start of every tier.

End of the day you can’t complain for not having the best gear when you only participate in a 4th if the game.

How far down do they need to go? They’re down like 90% from their peak. for context I work for a larger company than Blizzard that had its most profitable year ever in 2019. Yet they were losing their minds because the increase was 3% less than projected (10% instead of 13%). Our Ceo was let go along with a large portion of the executives.

Nobody is asking for it to be like that

So many people making statements that mean nothing and completely ignoring what players feel which is the only thing that actually matters

I basically never saw any raiders with 1800 weps in Wrath and I was on KT. So saying it was required is 100% an overstatment.

I was responding to someone who said PVErs never were forced to play PVP.

That’s not true due to some classes being forced too. When 1800 weapons were a thing because of how big an upgrade was.

Mages this tier were required to pvp for the bis trinket.

Just because you didn’t see it doesn’t mean it wasn’t a thing.

Most melee classes were forced to die to how big of a dps increase the weapon was until they were able to get a raid weapon.

You can’t say it was required if the vast majority of players on the biggest alliance pvp server at the time didn’t do it.

I do, usually people with Trisomy in the 21st chromosome have a hard time with cognitive capacity.

I don’t disagree with this.

I’m not sure what you mean about “different stat combos”, but I don’t disagree with the rest of what you said.

I would love to get BiS PvP gear from PvP ( even if I do have to grind two sets of gear). Unlike some people in BFA, I’ve been able to run the PvE content that I need to with gear that was optimized for PvP (not necessarily gear from PvP) and I’ve appreciated the convenience.

My general point here has been that I expect PvE will continue give you better rewards in SL (because OP trinkets), but optimizing stats specifically for PvP is going to be at best unpredictable and of minimal benefit. All of this hand wringing over the vendor stats is misplaced. We should be worried about PvP scaling or not worrying at all.

So because one server with a high pvp population didn’t require it means you think that’s an argument?

1800 weapons were removed because of pve players complaining about it.

They were complaining because they couldn’t get them lol. You’re saying it was required, how could it be required if most people weren’t doing it, but were still downing every single boss? Do you know what required means? look it up and get back to me.

Some were complaining because they couldn’t get it.

1800 wasn’t that hard of a feat considering you started at 1500.

I can tell you as a raider my raid leader expected the melee to get 1800 weapons

Alright so its fair to say your raid was required. But its not accurate to blanket say it was required. It was hard for the average raider. I think you’re overestimating the skill of the average raider here. These are the people who died on Heigan. People who had real trouble with the Lava wall on Sarth. Again your raid may have been super good. But thats not what most of the game was like at the time.

ugh, this just makes me sad. Like come on blizz!

I can agree to that.

But even this tier mages were required to get their BIS from pvp

Resil would fix that now because secondary stats are so much more important than they were in Wrath.
