What?
I agree 100%. I do think they should bring resil back.
Trinkets and stuff will still be a toss up but I’m ok with that.
didn’t read the thread cause i don’t really care but i wanna point out something hilarious about this old pile of crap justification they gave us
in shadowlands, vendors drop literal tokens that you then take to vendors to choose your weapons (and maybe other gear? idk) from
so somehow a conquest vendor is too confusing, but a pve vendor is not
sorry everyone guess they think pvp players don’t have brains
Because they want to cater to the PVE side of the game whom are used to the RNG roulette.
I got my beta key the same day that the vendors released. Before everyone made videos about the current PvP vendors the first thing I did was circle Oribos to try and find a vendor. I was so stoked at the potential of old systems like WoD pvp gearing being introduced, I couldn’t wait to see it for myself.
This was one of the most crushing bits of disappointment I’ve felt from blizzard. When I think PvP vendors, my mind and many others think of being able to gear for PvP through PvP. The fact that itemization is missing and honor rewards aren’t much better fully upgraded then Raid Finder, is only going to exacerbate the same issues we had in BFA. I enjoy PvE content but I don’t want to feel gated by it in order to enjoy some battlegrounds or arenas.
I know blizzard doesn’t want to bring back pvp specific stats, but even by bringing back the WoD item scaling for pvp it would be such a massive step in the right direction. If they bring back WoD scaling, then additional item implementations with better stats would be easily added and fix most the complaints I have with this new system.
I miss the WOTLK days where you could get playable gear from BG’s and good gear from Arena. It gave a reason to do arena for me, and made it so that PVP was enjoyable with the BG gear.
It also forced you to make a conscious decision to add PVE gear, knowing that you’d take more damage but do more damage. It was a trade off that made you think.
It seems that they actually are relentlessly trying to destroy the PVP community.
bump. please listen blizzard
I came back to wow for the purpose of getting into pvp again. I last played during the BC days and am really disappointed with what I have discovered since coming back.
It boggles me why they would change a pvp system that was working well. It’s hard to imagine why they would make something worse and not better or at least realize a mistake and revert to the working model in an trial and error effort of refining pvp.
I’ll stick around longer to see if things get better in shadowlands, but honestly there are better pvp experiences that I may go to.
Pve is cool and all, it’s just not what I want to be a requirement for me to be a pvp player. Why is a mediocre/decent pvp experience locked behind hours upon hours of pve endeavors.
Why???
Reframed, Blizzard… would you make a pve player do hours upon hours of pvp grinding to be decently geared for pve?
I get a smile on my face with a challenging match. I don’t find pve to be the challenge I’m that interested in. It’s too predictable for me and there isn’t any surprises, I just have to read a guide and coordinate with others that do so too and play a numbers game. It might not feel like that for everyone, this is the perspective I have as player with a preference for pvp in an mmo.
For me, pvp has so many different variables that could occur because it’s another player who is trying out different specs and strategies against you. I can never be totally sure what to expect from pvp and I love that.
But I don’t have that experience with the way the gearing system is now and how it is looking it will be in SL.
Pve players don’t need pvp skill to be dominant at pvp and that makes me sad.
I guess I’ll stay around and enjoy the new storyline, but honestly I’m losing interest as time goes on. I just really want a good pvp system and I’ll stick around in SL to see if these problems get fixed.
Having a good pvp system doesn’t ruin the pve system. I don’t see what blizzard is trying to do. It really doesn’t make sense. Do they share and explain their ideas and thought process with us around their decisions or do we just get surprised with these weird decisions. Do they actually take feedback from players? Cause I haven’t seen anyone in favor of or wanting the current and upcoming pvp systems.
It’s a good first step Blizzard, but please listen to the community.
I could go on and on but this post is a good read that provides solutions to the current problems.
Stat wise the gear is no good and ilvl wise it will be no good either. They either need to equalize rewards across the game or else make each respective gear best for that game mode. I prefer the 2nd option as its how it always worked and what everyone seemed to enjoy the most.
Agree 100%. I just want to PVP and be competitive without grinding boring PVE content!
This x1000 please just go back to WoD style pvp gearing
The idiocy of this statement is astonishing.
And thanks to this idiotic PVE players, we PVP players suffer.
Might want to take that video with a grain of salt considering Venruki is from inside out, upside down Canuckistan.
bust out the /pull 10 macros boys
that pvp gear isn’t going to farm itself
Got it 10 chars
