Vault will require 3/6/12 Delves in 11.1

I don’t really have a main but 4 characters I play regularly and a few others that I basically just got to 80 and am letting them sit there. So those 4 I could usually do 4 delves a week and feel pretty good about opening 2 slots for them.

Now I’ll be cutting that back to 3 for 1 slot. No way am I running 24 delves a week. Couldn’t even if I wanted to. If 1 slot a week doesn’t give me a good sense of progression at that point since 3/4 of your vault ends up being trinkets anyway guess that is the end of delves for me. Probably my sub as well.

If you’re too busy to play WOW that is fine. Just like other games you are too busy to play, you get nothing done in them.

I don’t see the issue, honestly.

Single player games I’ve on my computer don’t complete themselves because I haven’t played them in a few weeks.

Oh for sure. I enjoy my tank the most and therefor he gets the most attention in my limited play time. But he still doesn’t chase Great Vault rewards.

Theres been weeks where he hasnt gotten a single vault slot because alts took priority for the play time.

Are you unfamiliar with the “Blizzard hates fun” meme and what it means?

Whenever Blizzard sees us accomplishing something too easy they are going to change it. And Delves, seemingly, were intended to be an objective to work on over the course of a full weekly reset. Sure, you can do 4 bountiful 8’s Tuesday and Wednesday. Maybe raid on Wednesday or Thursday. Then, you pushing keys 5 days a week?

Delves are an endgame pillar, remember?

My suspicion is that people simply capped gear too early in the season, making existing delve content run out. I mean, unless you’re crazy and are trying to cap your Hero gear by farming Crests via Maps. But I seriously doubt those folks are the target audience for delves.

They already seemingly extended the runway by making Gilded crests reliable.

Increasing the number of delves needed for a vault slot effectively increases the impact of loot RNG (assuming that many people just achieve less vault slots, as opposed to actually doing more delves). That increases the number of weeks you need to get the gear you want. That effectively reduces your speed on the proverbial runway… while cleverly not really impacting the early weeks of the season, so it still draws you into the grind.

I can understand it. If you want rewards from easy content, you just have to do more of it.

I say this as a casual player who doesn’t raid or m+, it’s certainly better than nerfing the rewards like all the m+ players are crying for.

This kind of raises another issue.

I enjoy delves, occasionally I do some bountifuls, but… I’m sitting on 38 coffer keys because the gear isn’t worth it. Even being guaranteed a piece of gear and nice stack of gold, the gears not worth it and I can have more fun making gold in other areas of the game.

The issue being, delve gear wasn’t crafted to contend for BiS. So when gearing it’s not worth running a delve for gear. They have been made a guaranteed crest farm… Not a great one, but you can guarantee the rate of gilded crests running them. And that’s only in the last few weeks since the removed the cap on crests.

I try to offer ideas towards solutions when I can tho, so… Delves were pitched as solo player endgame content. So design them as such. Design the delve around the gear a solo player can acquire in them. These encounters inevitably will be easier for M+/raiders because the gear for those should be better. But if you design your solo player endgame content around solo players at max level at least delving has a purpose in the game. Try hards will always, well try hard. But you shouldn’t punish the players the content was designed for, just make it less worth it for the players in other areas. And designing the encounters around what a solo player can accomplish with the gear attainable in the delves format then it has its own place in the game like raiding, pushing keys or PvP

Care to offer a solution that doesn’t end with people being bored at even higher ilvl?

The key with the vault sticking around as a feature is consistency and they should just leave it alone with 2/4/8 for all the rows.

What do you mean? Tiers scale similar to keys. So the solo players will have something to do all season

Do y’all ever notice we never get a solo player on the forums complaining about the state of delves? Not even when they were nerfed because raiders and M+ers took advantage.

Correct. And if you actually enjoyed the end game pillar, this change wouldnt affect anything

Do you not read the forums?

There have been complaints here and there.

Raising Ilvl delves give in vault to mythic makes this happen how? Heroic functions just fine as a once-a-week vault ilvl drop.

Bad design to have elevated loot from vault, this applies to both m+ and delves.

They did. You just either looked the other way or werent looking in the first place.

But you also wont find many people complaining about increased rewards for lower effort. Now that this change is happening, people are losing their minds. Not because its harder, not because it takes longer to get the same rewards, but because an option takes 30 minutes more a week

Even now, though, tier 11 delves are a herculean task for a lot of classes solo. And ?? Zek is still there for a final challenge before the end of the season. There is still content for the solo players and if it’s difficult it’s because it’s still exploitable for group players.

I have stopped understanding this company.
If something works, they break it.
If something does not work, they just stay away from it.

Brooo, fix the class balancing, healer/tanking tunings. M+ is a joke. Shake the meta…
Mythic raiding is just a 2nd work, it is all about weak auras… The game is a bugfest.

And you care about the world vault row…

And what does this have to do with elevating delve rewards to mythic? Sounds like it functions just fine on its own.

It’s also well established that Mythic Raiding is specifically designed to challenge the very best players in the world. The players that are able to work on all that stuff. Or the pros who make money from streaming WoW. Heroic is for the rest of us mortals who have a job or whatever other life stuff to focus on.

Talking about Mythic Raiding in a conversation pertaining the the average player is a failed point

Luckily I only like three sets so far to get lfr normal and heroic . The rest I’ll get lfr appearance only

Mythic is like four different difficulties under the same name.

So, no, it isn’t.

(Even more than that really.)

First four are pugged now-a-days.
