Nothing has changed. It just generates More Steam when it’s a us only promotion. More people talk about it and more people complain about it. There are a ton of really sick China only promotions they have done over the past 2 years alone. Yet nobody ever talks about them
Yet there was literally 10 forum post about the Dew promotion before the us promotion even live. Yet I saw Zero about the recent Chinese promotions they did.
It’s almost like we live in age where media Outlets for gaming companies only report about things they know they will anger and upset people.
Well, without getting too deep in the details, let’s just say I love US digital promotions and my extensive collection would violate Criminal Code R.S.C., Ch. C-46, § 84 in Canada
Every country has different regulations that need to be followed and contests/promotions need to be setup for them in particular. I would turn your attention to, similarly, how most Canada-wide promotions are not applicable in Quebec. It is simply a thing that happens sometimes. Considering we otherwise get to participate in most programs and promotions, I don’t think it’s a big deal.
My guess is its either easier or cheaper to keep these things exclusive to certain areas than to try having it widely disrupted, as there’s an expectation of higher standards of disruption.
Also because we have a tenth the US population up here, there are plenty of flavors and varieties that are not sold here because there’s not enough demand for it. You just get used to it living up here.
Kind of off topic but I heard that when Trudeau went to Maralago to talk to Trump about the tariffs, allegedly Trump joked that Trudeau should just make Canada the US’s 51 state and Trudeau could be the governor.
When I heard that I thought it was kind of funny but I also thought it’d be kind of cool if Canada and US merged.
Probably just me, though. There’s probably a lot of Canadians who wouldn’t like that.
