if you look back in the past there are several US only promotions. Many of which can be tied to the company sponsoring the promotion…
maybe Canada should actually have companies that produce stuff and team up with blizzard to do a promotion

Perhaps it would be better if WoW wasn’t a platform for promotions at all?
It was probably mentioned upstream, but “free promotions” are pretty restricted in some countries. Rather than pay the legal team to make sure they’re in compliance in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and all the countries in Central & South America (including Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina), it’s likely lower cost to to just ensure compliance in the US by only running the promotion in the US.
There were changes to the Section 74.06 of the Competition Act enacted on June 23, 2022. While that’s under Trudeau’s watch, I’m not sure it’s solely on him if the new rules are so onerous to comply with that US companies said “nah, let’s just not bother with these free offers in Canada until they roll this back.” That’s likely on the Parliament of Canada.

Blizzard knows Canada’s economy is so bad that its not worth marketing to.
Yeah the paid for upgrade too their Spectral Tiger all the players in China got just before they were shut down but coming on heals of opening back up again China the players are offered a flying Kit for their Spectral Tiger, a kit we can’t get in the US or any where else other then China. Chinese players got their Spectral tigers for Free now …and I really don’t care they couldn’t get the Tiger before thing said about Chinese players …
Why its not the US players fault that other countries won’t allow promo to be offered to their players in game…this all boils down to rules of the other countries not Blizzard fault at all…but seems some folks just can’t get that though the thick heads now Laws and rules apply…
But maybe the other countries are right and these promotions are just bad for consumers?
That is fine but isn’t be held against US players or any other region that offers up a promo…damn players just can’t get it though your heads rules and laws are there for a reason and if you want those items …you have to get changes made too your laws and rules…not the Company called Blizzard…they just offer up the stuff and other places like China have offered up promo no other country could get too…like a Flying Kit for their Spectral Tiger mount that was given to them for free just before the Game got shut down in China for a year or so …when the game came back all the Chinese players got offered to flying kit they could buy for their FREE Spectral Tiger …did US players get a Free Spectral Tiger mounts…NOPE…not yet…
Of course I’m going to hold it against any players (US or otherwise) who continue to defend Blizzard doing these things.

Yeah no, that won’t be happening (I hope). I also heard rumors about NY and the new england states seceding and joining Canada. this would be better.

Just have your country join up with the USA, that way your PM can become a governor and then you’ll get all the US promos and tax write offs and other stuff some people think they want (but really don’t).
It’d be a win/win. You’d still be Canada, just under US governance, sort of.
Its a good thing that citizens of US Vassal states need to make pilgrimages to the Imperial Core every so often to have a taste of the extreme wealth and abundance America has created.
