The quest is given to lvl 48 characters but cannot be completed. gg blizz.
Iāve killed 5 of the Icecrown world bosses and received nothing but the stones. It has quickly killed my enjoyment of the event.

Great you ruined the anniversary event. I needed ONE more transmog. oh well guess i have to wait till next year since you HAD to rush out ANOTHER expansion thats NOT READY.

Alright, we get it.
20 (rares) * 20 (minute respawn) / 60 minutes = 6.66
Cute, but the spawn rate sucks and cancels out the cuteness. Fix it.

Sitting around in a raid waiting for a rare to spawn every 15 minutes is not fun, or compelling gameplay.
I donāt care if you want to tag them as ārareā but mobs for a limited time event need to be on a much shorter spawn timer.

There is no cake, it is a lie, we donāt get to be scourge because the crates donāt spawn.
Dude I think there is some kind of bug with Dark Iron Dwarf Warriors or something man because I killed 16 - yes - SIXTEEN RARES in Icecrown today and did not get even ONE piece of loot. Just stones. Stones for gear I donāt need, a transmog set I already have, a pet I donāt want, and a broom thatās usefulness will last only one week. That theyāre even trying to pass this off as content is an insult to every single person paying a subscription for this game.

This event is garbage.
The timer on the rare mobs in Icecrown is really asinine. Do you devs just want to frustrate players? Everyone in general chat on my server is complaining about it and thereās a throng of more people than I can count camping the Black Knight spawn location right now. Idly sitting here waiting for him to pop. This is not playing the game. This is waiting to play the game and itās stupid.
Iām really disappointed in you guys. This pre-patch event is really lame. I suggest you do a couple things:

Since the gear youāre āgiving awayā is a very-slight recolor of a base level warfront setā¦ make it cheaper and purchased with scourgestones.

Reduce the spawn timer of rare mobs to something closer to 5 to, at most,10 minutes. 20 minutes is dumb.

the timer of each individual mob should be 5-10 minutes. not every 5-10 minutes one spawns in the zone.
thatās insane for a very limited time event.
who cares if more than one rare is up at a time. who cares if we farm them fast.
as it is now, thereās no way i can do this ācontentā on multiple characters, if I want to farm the various mog sets, or gear up alts I havenāt played, because killing a single mob every 20 minutes is absurd.

I have run Nathanos on 9 Alts, the rewards are not to your spec, and there is a bug which you will get NO LOOT if he is killed while you are dead. In addition there is no cache reward either. This is frustrating to have limited time rewards and the engagement is all messed up, please fix this and/or extend the event.

So, I got a mace as an assassination rogue and a one handed sword as a frost mageā¦ will those be fixed or so I have to wait a week for it again?

Thereās meant to be more stuff coming next week, but why? Itās incredibly dumb to make us wait on prepatch content especially since the event will be over in 2 weeks.

After several hours of that, I had enough currency to buy an entire 4 items.
I did get a bag also to make it somewhat worthwhile, but spending that amount of time to get 4 ilvl 100 items is laughable. I did also get 3 or 4 110 random epics. Very lame for an end of expansion event that serves no purpose other than catching up alts gear for the start of the next expansion thatās in two weeks.
Granted I was just alt-tabbed for most of it and spent 5 seconds tapping a mob (and then mashing keys during 5 second casting delays due to server lag) every 20 minutes (super compelling gameplay!).
