[UPDATED] Mage and Paladin Tuning Incoming - July 18

No. It’s been literally no mystery and we’ve known since they stepped onto the PTR that this class was going to ruin the entire game. Mage deserves to be nerfed, just like shadow needs to also be deleted, but all that happens is the next two specs just keep the clownfest going because augmentation cannot be balanced. It’s either broken or literally useless there cannot be an inbetween especially with the utility that they provide.

Fire mage player: Wow these changes are awesome I love my class and can’t wait to play it more and enjoy my time playing wow!

Blizz: what? Whats that? You are enjoying your class and you are having fun?

Fire mage player: YES! thanks for the awesome changes

Bizz: :telephone_receiver: nerf it.

I mean, I 100% agree. These changes are completely valid and are not gonna hurt the class much, but I also remember you dooming pretty hard when Ret got like…a 3% nerf.

Number being slightly lower shouldn’t affect ones enjoyment, though. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

But yet it does…

Was I dooming or telling people ret didn’t need more nerfs? The latter. People wanted to keep going.

Now here we are with ret and I was 100% correct.

Fire for sure got hit harder than frost, but I don’t see these nerfs breaking the spec. I honestly think fire is gonna be fine. Shadow and aug meed some nerfs, too, no doubt, but I don’t see mage going anywhere anytime soon.

I mean, ret is still one of the top M+ specs as far as representation goes, even at +20. It’s fine.

It is fine, and it is scaling poorly like I said it will and will continue to do so.

I agree i dont think the spec is now brokenn and it will probably be fine.

I could say to the fox above that number being slightly higher shouldn’t effect peoples enjoyment. So what it fire mages pump 5% more.

The nerfing of a class just leaves a sour taste in peoples mouths especially the ones that play the class.

A large majoirty of this game is to level to get more powerful to do bigger numbers. Get better gear weapons enchants to do bigger numbers

They could have just buffed other classes that are doing poorly due to design. Instead they decided to only nerf mage

I get where you’re coming from here, but it’s 3 vs 33…3 is a lot more feasible to deal with. This 100% should have been hammered out in PTR, but it is what it is. Have you tried frost? Our nerfs barely register, so we’ll continue to absolutely slap. (Less so in AoE than fire, but I think overall frost is slightly more versatile and absolutely demolishes 2 or 3T cleave and ST.

That just begs the quesion from me why nerf it in the first place if it is hardly going to affect the class/spec.

My original post was supposed to be more comical tbh. Either way.

Less nerfs on good clases moor buffs on weak classes

When a spec literally breaks the DPS meter add-on, it’s gonna get nerfed.

Does it pain you in someway that a class can pump?

What spec was breaking details? Fire? I haven’t heard about this, what was it doing?

Ever since 10.1.5 went live all I’ve heard is how Fire is doing like 140k DPS.
My Fire Mage friend was even offering M+ boosts because of how OP he suddenly was. He genuinely thought it was bugged.

I’m not sure if Frost and Arcane needed a nerf though.

All I can say is hahahahahahahahahahaha

140K isn’t that much, though? Is that a mistype?

Oh, word. I thought they were actually bugging the meters, lmao.

Nope.
Yesterday your overall DPS was 116k.
I meant 140k.
