IIRC RPPVP servers werent going to be a thing, but enough people complained and got them. So yeah. If you want fresh, better protest now as hard as you can.

That’s a really simple analysis to be honest. When I stepped through the portal, there was one person on my server with thunderfury, now there are over 40 on my faction alone. Not a single guild on my server had cleared naxx, now there are over 5 that have cleared naxx, and over 200 players with full sets… There weren’t any players that I knew of at gold cap. Now I know several.
The list goes on in terms of the level of minmaxery that’s gone on in Classic that has changed the way moving from Classic–>TBC works. Just like the game was similar to Vanilla in the first couple months then took a violent turn towards raidlogging with world buffs, people want to re-experience what TBC was like back in the day, before TBC also gets min-maxed. The content is not time-gated in TBC. People who have slogged through classic will have a clear advantage, so this in turn isn’t going to give you a “everyone comes back for tbc and we crush them!” experience. I’m sorry. Those people aren’t going to come back to get crushed and feel like crap next to Joe Thunderfury. They just won’t resub. If there’s fresh, those people will come back, and it will be fun for them. The closest experience to that is a fresh realm, it’s not moving on with their overly geared toons. And it’s understandable that some want to re-experience the game as “one of the best guilds,” that’s great, we don’t want to stop them from doing that, but that’s not something everyone is interested in. They want to re-experience TBC in a fresh realm with fresh feels, new guilds forming, building new relationships without the old drama from classic etc. They want FRESH baby!

Do you think the Parse Party Gold Cap Mage Alts will unsub if we do get fresh TBC servers? They seem obsessed.

I’m thinking the people who are the saltiest about the possibility of fresh tbc servers are the ones with illegitimate gold and they won’t be able to lord it over us.

GDKP and Boosts would be average if we used player generated gold.

Also glad AoE cap is coming for Blizzard.
new era servers is nice to retain your char, but honestly its a graveyard. Its literally a place where i can send my char to wither away. Nobody cares about raiding naxx every week for the next year. And no new player is starting their journey on a server where 99% of the pop is full t3.
We need fresh, need fresh mc, everyone needs to start at even footing and the world needs to be alive again.

The way that the game works is pretty much built into the narrative that blizzard was pushing the entire time. Social ties and guilds forming through the leveling process.
PoE has the system down but most game studios and devs don’t realize just how good PoE’s seasonal system is.
The irony of this is that Blizzard invented that seasonal system years before PoE was conceived. Diablo 2 has had ladder seasons for over 15 years now.

lets start a guild on a Russian server where the bosses have triple the health and hit 6 times as hard for autism friendly pleasure.because that is russian intuitive style. throw a ploos up in chat for your boys that kill prince once and quit!
