Unofficial Sethrak Discussion Thread šŸ

Iā€™d actually play Alliance a bit more if they got Sethrak. I do have my void elves and enjoy them but man RP on alliance side is kinda dull. Adding in more races that are a bit darker would make things interesting.

For real! Itā€™s all I care about at this point in time. I want to play my Vulpera and have really high hopes for Sethrak as well.

Has anyone ever told you how great your name is? And if Leper Gnomes ever became something playable, would that be your main?

Lol thanks! Well I started maining this char at the beginning of BfA (and loved it) but dropped it after the nerf. Iā€™m back to playing all my chars :joy::skull_and_crossbones:

Yeah that disc nerf hit yall hard, just like our blood nerfs moved us from the best tank to the worstā€¦

Yeah I really wish Blizz would quit making major changes during the xpac. Thatā€™s what beta is for.

Yea i was the same when i first came across Gorilla Gorge in-game while on my Horde Warlock back in 8.0 and i first thought ā€˜omg this could be the Hordes first primate playable race being future seeded!ā€™ (technically Humans are based on primates anyway even if made by titans) because not only are they a DC reference they also had ties to Goblins and even wanted to be friendly towards them allowing them to take the Kajaā€™mite.

Sadly after 8.1 rolled in we learn the Goblins just figured theyā€™d take the Kajaā€™mite and hunt the Sentient Gorillas to death for there pelts or as exotic pets for rich folk and thats what lead to Grong (the games first Dire Gorilla model) helping the Gnomes invent a machine to turn Intelligence into brute strength and give how huge he got and could still speak words he was smart!.

As it stands now those Gorillas might seek sanctuary with the Alliance similar to how the Gilnaen Humans and Worgen did, the only thing left in the air is the Kajaā€™mite thing, its said after awhile your intelligence reverts but at the same time Goblins are apparently less intelligent then there forebears are now and have alot less Kajaā€™mite involved so might be a first/second generation issue.

Male Orc Skeleton and either Tauren Skeletons seem the most likely for them otherwise a heavily altered Male Worgen one would also work before finally there unique skeleton option in the future.

When the news on the Sethrak part of the horde Childrenā€™s Week quest came out, and Sethraliss came out and told the kid off for trying to take the stone, there were a few jokes about her being the loa of mothers.

Iā€™ve really been thinking about it more, and I realized that if that were the case, then it adds a new light on all the things we already know, and enhances them.

It would make the Fathlessā€™ branching off seem more grievous to the Devoted.

It would make the wish to reconnect with them even more heartfelt.

It would potentially explain why her role as a loa seems unclear, if worship of Rezan as a life spirit picked up in Zandalar while Sethralissā€™ followers declined over time.

While we know from the quests that the Zandalari toss their exiles into the desert to whatever fate awaited them, imagine if it was a long tradition of exiles going to the land of the loa of mothers for mercy (even before it became a desert) since everyone is someones child?

Also with how protective Vorrik is of her well-being even in that small amount of spoken text, saying she needed to gain more strength. He really loves her.

Just some stray thoughts, but it would be interesting if Bliz considered a thing like this.

This is criminally understated.

Tales of de Loa points to this

In densest jungle of darkest green,
Rules mother of many, but rarely seen.
Warm and lush and full of life.
Iron will and without strife.
Her mind unfurls, envelops all.
Her faithful ever heed her call.
Across de ages her eyes do see,
Seeking de best for you and me.
Through darkest night, and brightest day,
She will ever find her way.
In her, ya haven will be found.
Her all for us, her care profound.
Love unsurpassed will surely be,
When Sethraliss ya truly see.

I had no idea! Never heard anyone really mention this before in the thread.

Thanks for posting it here; a lot of us havenā€™t leveled horde toons in BFA. Thatā€™s a beautiful poem, too.

Also, they snuck a solid Green Lantern reference in there :yum:

Vulperas give another hint of becoming a playable race!

Now it is to be hoped that sethraks will not be forgotten by the devs, since they also possess, to this day, the same kind of work applied to them, which we have seen dispensed to the vulperas!

I hope we get a yes to sethraks, in the future, or not, so we will not be waiting for something that Aunt Blizz will not do!

But seeing vulperas become more and more of a real possibility, itā€™s a good encouragement for those who one day expect to see sethrak with a playable race too!:snake:

Vulpera have recently been added to the coding of certain events in the PTR under the Allied Race category. This could be real, or it could just be for some other purpose. This just adds to the fact that Vulpera are all but confirmed as an allied race.

Though, sadly, no other race has been added to that list so far. It is likely that if it is for the integration of Vulpera into the allied race system, that other races will be added to the code soon.

This being said, I still think it is unlikely that we will get any more allied races until the prepatch (hopefully along with a revamped leveling experience as has been hinted/leaked/faked recently).

At this point in time, I am absolutely positive that we will not hear anything official until Blizzcon, and am just as positive that we will hear something at Blizzcon pertaining to allied races.

Well when you use a rogueā€™s glyphed pickpocket (Where you become that humanoid) after you transformed, if you mouse over your character portrait it does say the race Vulpera rogue, same can be said when you use the toy that turns you into a Broken. So there might be a chance?

It says that for all races playable, partial playable and not playable ones.

I havenā€™t had a sub since I think around mid March so Iā€™m going from memory here and also I havenā€™t really touched my rogue too since sheā€™s an alt. I tried it on that monkey humanoid (forgot whats it called) lizard humanoid (again forgot the race name) and other various races but only a few came up with the race name. It makes sense for all races playable since its a thing but with the not playable ones I think itā€™s different story. I havenā€™t really tested it out on the Sethrak yet since I havenā€™t advance that far into the story where it will take my toon there.

So Rise of Azshara comes out June 25th:

Iā€™m curious if we might see anything with the Sethrak during this patch. Iā€™ll help keep an eye out for anything of interest and report it, of course. New patches are exciting to see if there are any allied race hints. ^^
