Unofficial Sethrak Discussion Thread 🐍

So, again with the previous topic. What druid forms would you guys like to see? Maybe a crocolisk tank or something? Interesting thing to think about.

Would LOVE if they get Druid in there class lineup. I would race change the very second the servers came up. It would also even up the Druid imbalance, 4-3 currently.

That being said, since they'd be Loa based Druids like Trolls, I suspect they could start with the Zandalari forms and modify them to be different enough so as to not step on toes and preserve the uniqueness of their forms. I presume make them less lizard-y and remove the tusks to start and make them more serpentine and fang-y?
Back onto topic though. Druid forms are a bit tricky to think of. Wind Serpent for flight form is an easy one. Travel form could be a Krolusk with an eel for aquatic form. I was thinking maybe hydra for guardian form given that they are quadruped in WoW. I'm drawing a blank for potential feral or balance forms.

Assuming they were to get Druid anyway.

Oooh, Hydra could work. Surprised I blanked out on that possibility, myself.

A hydra?! Man that would be so cool. I'd play a Sethrak as a druid in a heartbeat, and you know others would too. Oh! OH! Saurolisk could work too! They are tenacity pets for Beast Mastery hunters, so they DO count as tanks.

I'm not quite sure if Saurolisks are 'beefy' enough though to fill in the bear slot. The Zandalari Dinomancer forms still seem to generally adhere to the 'form follows function' aspect of their design...

...though there is the wildcard in Balance being Arakkoa based.

True, I was surprised when I saw those Saurolisks as TENACITY of all things. Found it strange, but hey, I get a cool tanking pet on my hunter when I need it, because in my opinion, Saurolisks are one of the best models they added to the game. And yeah maybe they could be a dinomancer. Perhaps in that case, they would get another form of turtle.

I love the saurolisk model. Was very disappointed when it wasn't a mount for either faction. Maybe they could tweak it to work as a feral form? Can't swap it to the cat skeleton, but we've had skeleton swaps before with Claws of Shirvallah.

That's very true, yeah. I think it'd be a very good feral form for Sethrak as well. Or something similar to the dino-cat anyway. Also, there might be a chance for them to be added as mounts sometime later. It would only make sense and I figure a ton of people would be happy if they did.
Really they can kludge about anything into working for whatever they need; and who knows, maybe the Saurolisk will end up as a mount from a future source, too!

The new saurolisk models are dope. I hope we get a mount version (or several) at some point. Their movement kinda reminds me of the thing ObiWan is riding around on before fighting General Grevious in the SW prequels.

Oh, that reminds me. Krolusks seem to be the chosen form of Sethrak transportation and despite having something like 6 or 7 versions in the game, only two are obtainable mounts, Conqueror of Azeroth and the dungeon meta. Maybe some of those are purposely being held back as they'd be a fine race specific mount and/or obtainable after a new reputation is added to the game.

Damn, they are both pretty spot on. Both would work as a Sethrak Druid feral form.

That's actually quite a good catch. Admittedly I'm still chewing through BfA content, and hadn't caught onto that yet. Considering how readily they hand out recolours otherwise, it does seem like they may be reserved for some reason.
i'm really hoping they get druids, but i'm not holding my breath.

i feel like their forms would probably be modified dino-forms the zandalari got (more as a time-save than anything else), but some might cry 'foul' on that because it's taking unique horde druid forms and giving them to alliance, whereas the horde aren't getting any 'wicker druids.'

wind-serpent flight form would be cool, though. my hunter pets are both wind serpents. I love the lil guys.

I’m honestly hoping it’s their racial mount. Would be something nice for the alliance besides more bloody horses.
Vulpera for the Horde.

Sethrak for the Alliance.

It's perfect. Sadly I wonder if Blizzard has the wit to see the interesting symmetry.

Story wise it would be easy to create a serious wedge between the two Voldunai races.

The Vulpera could demand justice for the wrongs done to them by the Faithless Sethrak. Vorrik is trying to reunite his people and refuses.

Vulpera turn to the Horde. The Sethrak see the danger and turn to the Alliance.

Pretty much.

It could be as simple as Sylvanas wanting to bring them both into the Horde and Vorrik saying "No thanks. Just got done with a Civil war here, I'd like to focus on reunifying the Sethrak. Besides, the Alliance saved my life and helped take back my temple. I'd like to remain neutral" We know she probably wouldn't take that for an answer and launch an attack on them. Lord knows Nisha would salivate at the thought of killing more snakes.
You can have Sethrak if I can have human slaves.. I mean, workers.

Undercity won't rebuild itself.

Can they be fat humans?
I believe blizzard did say that AR's were already planned out from the beginning, and considering i'm not seeing any evidence that can support Sethrak being an AR compared to the Vulpera.. I can only Assume blizz has no plans for them... sorry guys

They would be cool but I don't think blizzard is planning on making them playable unless something interesting happens next patch.
