I mean I wouldnt mind them on horde. Just that alliance doesnât really have much races to choose from allied race wise as hordeâŚ
If a troll can be a prelate ( paladin ) just by worshiping Loas, I do not see why a sethrak can not do the same, since of all the Loas, only Sethraliss was willing to stop the herald of Gâhuun!
She was more effective than Elune!
I have never been interested in paladins, but I would have been very pleased, a paladin sethrak, and would begin to spread the words of my patronize to the 4 winds of Azeroth, would punish the evil in its glorious name and consecrate temples there!
Sethraliss Vult!
Sethrak should certainly be Paladins. They even have a group called The Devout, right? They worship their loa as much as the Zandalari do, it would make perfect sense for them to be Paladins. I donât see a problem with it at least.
This would add a real âpantheonâ of deities and a variety of paladins that does not yet exist in the alliance!
Taurens have Anshe and trolls have their Loas!
In the alliance, there is only the cult of LIGHT!
I still find it sad that we do not have Eluneâs paladins!
I would love to be a paladin of Goldrinn!
Go!Go! Sethraliss!
Two words: krolusk charger.
At least it would not be another horse!
Or they could be one of those giant serpents we see in Volâdun!
+1 support. I donât care if theyâd be Horde or Alliance, theyâd be a cool addition to the game
The reason why Zandalari Paladins are a thing is not because of their worship of the Loa, it is because of their worship of a single one of them, Rezan. Rezan represents Light in this system much like how Bwonsamdi represents Death. Sethrak Paladins would be cool, but so far, most Wild Gods/Loa are strictly tied to the cosmological force of Life. This being said, we still donât know much about Sethralliss to know whether or not she is just another Loa, or if she also represents Light. I could easily see her representing Light, or even something new, Arcane. That would help explain how the Sethrak have such strong ties to the elements and makes the idea of Sethrak Shaman an obvious class choice.
she seems to be tied to lightning especially, which does heavily imply shaman.
I could see them stretching the lore a bit, though, to have paladins on her behalfâafter all, you canât spell âlightningâ without âlight,â and if there can be a NE paladin based off the light of elune, or Sunwalkers whose light comes from the sun, i donât think itâs too much of a stretch that sethrak paladinsâ light could come from lightning and their faith in sethrallis.
This would get my permanent sub.
Right? Something as unique as a snek boi would definitely get folks hyped.
The problem there is the base. In the Warcraft universe, the celestial bodies, Titans, worlds, moons, stars, they all hold power. Lightning is extremely temporary and is just the visual effect of static
well if you want to get technical, moons donât generate any light themselves, but rather they reflect it-- so if weâre going by the scientific explanation, then a lightning paladin actually has more of a right than does a moon-paladin to exist.
Alternatively, there are multiple examples in WoW of lightning being more than just âextremely temporary,â such as with ball-lightning that has appeared as traps and hazards, and lightning elementals like Ionar in HoL. So blizzard could easily stretch the lore (as theyâve done before) to make Zapadins a thing, especially if they decide that Sethraliss, a loa that fought against the old gods, is another loa that has a connection to the light.
Iâm not saying this because i want snekadins; in fact, i donât really enjoy the paladin playstyle at all. Itâs just something i could see blizzard doing if they felt they wanted another paladin class for the alliance (which would make sense after getting KT and probably Junker-gnomes, who are also unlikely to have paladins).
edit: well, it looks like it finally happened; I can no longer make new posts.
Looks like iâm officially a spectator from now on! Good luck doodz, and keep up the good fight. Iâll see you all again if/when we get our snek pplz!
What I should have said is that the whole lightning thing is the domain of air elementals. Plus, the Warcraft universe does not work the same as ours. Elune could very well generate her own light. But we donât know much about her still. That will probably be advanced next expac
I want a snek that can throw light hammers at people and scream deus vult.
I agree!
In 10 years of warcraft, paladins never aroused any interest in me, but since void blood elves and kultirans can not be paladins, if sethraks could be paladins, that would be a nice change to the existing model in the alliance!
It would be exotic and would value the Alliance!
God knows, how Alliance needs something revitalizing!
Sethraks could do it, for the alliance!
I genuinely like the idea of Sethrak paladins, but I would want there to be some lore as to why they can be paladins, as we have yet to see any npcs exhibit this class type.
Here to support sneks
One player I spoke to raised a question as we debated the sethraks!
He said that because they live in tents, caves and temples, as the zandalares they are both tribal people like the ones we see in the horde!
He said that sethraks are a race that has more in common with the horde for being tribal and also said that the zandalares are a tribal people!
And that makes them more suitable to horde!
Although zandalares are trolls, I do not see them as a tribal people with orcs, taurens and Darkspears!
And being tribal does not seem to have been a necessary quality for Quelthalas to join Horde!
Well, what I need is someone who can point out if sethraks are really a tribal people or if itâs an exaggeration considering them tribal!
Itâs not comparable to the nightbourne sitiuation, nightbourne had all content split between both factions, the sethrak has been purely horde content.
