I think with Sethrak its either Lightning powered rafts or canoes, or they go the Moses style which involves removing the water between them and there path (most likely using Desertfication Magic).

so with the whirlwind of all the 8.2 information, has anyone seen anything on Sethrak? i haven’t had time to go through it all, but it seems like, from some of the quest/scripted event dialogue, that the Alliance and (more reasonable leaders of) the Horde are moving away from war on each other, and toward focusing our efforts on Azshara.

If that’s the case, I feel like our story-reason for getting Sethrak might be taking a hit. If the faction war is going to be put aside, then the need for allies from Zandalar might be set aside as well :frowning:

One thing i could see still happening, though, is Sylvanas still pushing for all-out war while the Alliance is distracted, and use the opportunity to get the Alliance out of their largest foothold in Vol’dun. If that happens, then the theoretical scenario where she tries to recruit the locals (Vulpera and Sethrak) to her cause could still happen, and Vulpera could join her while the Sethrak can refuse to harm the faction that saved Vorrik and be pushed into the Alliance for ‘daring to oppose Sylvanas.’

Really hoping for some good news. Trying to keep the faith, but it’s getting to be a real challenge :frowning:

I haven’t seen anything Sethrak related, but stuff is still being datamined and there may be surprises when 8.2 actually hits live servers. Given there is a Vulpera hint, there could be something Sethrak related if they are the counter to Vulpera. Just keep an eye out for Sethrak-related stuff and report it here if you see something of interest. ^^

As hard as it is, never lose faith. If it helps you feel better, at least Sethrak have a presence in BfA. Theres rumors of a coup happening, and while Rexxar would be part of it, it seems like the Horde may forget again that they have Ogres part of the Horde already that’re just sitting around and getting drunk or something. (grumble grumble)

Hey guys, I know things seem bleak with this new patch, but keep your heads held high and keep looking forward to the future! Our Vulpera friends got a mug for brewfest! The reason i bring this up is that the new brewfest mugs(icons) are made with allied races in mind!

Alliance: Dark Iron, Draenei and Void elves

Horde: Highmountain, Nighborne, Maghar and Vulpera

You know what that means? there are 3 allied race mugs that are missing! Zandalari for horde, Kultirans for alliance! “But wait Lahkshmi! What about that last one? Horde have 5 and alliance only has 4!” Yes! that is where our mystery brew comes in! It could be anything!! Lets keep hoping friends, it could be Sethrak!

Always have hope, if you don’t atleast keep a small glint of it in your heart somewhere. We will get through this and we will be heard!

Let’s not forget that if the Sethrak aren’t seen in this patch or have any significance, it’s not the end of the world either! Personally, I don’t think they’ll see much spotlight with Rise of Azshara.

However!

If after this major patch, things take a turn towards the old gods, the Sethrak might have some big play come in connection towards fighting against them! As long as we don’t get told no or given concrete evidence that suggest against them as a race, we need to keep our heads held high and optimism positive!

I don’t think the Sethrak will have much relevance with Rise of Azshara, but if this expansion takes a turn towards old gods, like we really think it is. I feel like Sethrak might have a much stronger position and have more light shone upon them when that time comes :slight_smile:

Just because we might not see much of them before then, doesn’t mean they’re down for the count!

Yea, that’s where that ‘imprisoned sethrak’ or captive…I forget what it was but either way. There are going to be invasions and I do remember one of them being in Vol’Dun and involving the Sethrak~ (Don’t know if it’ll involve Vulpera though but I just remember seeing someone talk about the captive sethrak during the invasion)

I don’t recall if that was in the previous PTR or if it still has yet to come.

One of the things I keep remembering for hope, is the last major thing we heard before Blizz locked everything down; it was the thing where the Sethrak got blight bombed.

I know its been a long time, but try and think back–this was easily over a year ago. I think it was a quest on horde side because after throwing plague at a bunch of the Sethrak one of the Vulpera remarked “That was…surprisingly fun!”

Right after that, speculation on how that would get the Sethrak to edge toward the Alliance soared. In the ensuing pages on the MMO champ thread, even the artist Pompup who did the possible customization artwork for females got into the act and posted a funny comic summarizing the event.

(its not funny that they got blight bombed but I seriously love this pic–look at the expressions on all their faces xD

I’d also like to add I like to imagine that the forsaken and vulpera in the pic both say ‘funny’ and pronounce it ‘Funnay!’ like the Timmy character in South Park. Makes it funnier–er, funnayer )

Now naturally we didn’t hear about the purge squad thing that they did implement so we don’t know if this will make it to live or not, but we know that they were thinking of stuff like this.

It also means that since there wont be any horde/alliance conflict in Nazjatar, that must mean it keeps happening in Zanda/Kultiras.

I feel like it might happen still, the PTR is still young and all we have in there is HoA quests and Mechagon, so theres more to be added! Lets hope for more next reset :smiley:

That is interesting to see. Maybe it is still up in the air what faction Sethrak would join. As I said before, Horde would be preferable, for me. ^^;
