Unofficial Sethrak Discussion Thread šŸ

And Sulthis, Vorrik says that the three keepers ruled as one.

Yes, itā€™s said that they were the strongest of the Sethrak, and Sulthis was a sage and the one with the strongest connection to Sethraliss.
Not to say that the others had a weak connection, Sethraliss gave Vorrik his staff.
It makes sense that the three strongest sethrak around that had a very close connection to Sethraliss, and helped seal the monster that killed her would co-rule in her absence.

I think Emeni is from before the time of Sethraliss death. As we know after her fall the keepers ruled together until Korthek formed the faithless. And I donā€™t think itā€™s his heir as that would have to be somewhat recent and I donā€™t think such internal conflict as a throne grab where siblings slaughter siblings would happen when Korthek ā€œthe eternal emperorā€ himself were alive. And sheā€™s been dead for sure longer then BFA so it could not have happened after he died, as she would have ended up in the maw if she died during BFA.

Yes I would really much like Sethakk on Alliance

A race with a different look for the alliance would be good.
But as nothing seems to make something like sethrak a possibility in the ally, it is more viable for possible progress, to suggest sethraks as a playable race in the horde.

In the alliance it would be good for the prestige and new flavor that it could bring to the faction, but in the horde it is also acceptable.
It would be sad to see such an interesting breed abandoned in BfA.
Arakkoas and saberons had that fate.

I wish that sethraks do not have their potential abandoned.

Seeing that they will get some sort of continuation in Shadowlands tells me Sethrak and their potential has not been abandoned!

The fact that their lore and history is likely getting expanded on is FANTASTIC!

Time will tell just what it all means though~

Keep your chins up. Blizzard is indeed listening.

Oh! I completely forgot all about that little detail. Hereā€™s hoping Emeni gives us some insight on sethrak civilizationā€™s earlier history, then!

Yes!

And this is why Iā€™m speculating if she is an ancestor of one of the Keepers. If not all of them. Iā€™m not sure if theyā€™re biological siblings or not. And while they ruled the Sethrak together, I canā€™t find anything stating if any of them are of actual noble blood.

Sulthis is another Iā€™m curious to see if heā€™ll be somewhere. He should have died well before The Maw started taking all the souls.

Poor Serrik. Heā€™s in the Maw.

Iā€™m honestly very curious what the timeline looks like for Korthekā€™s rise to power.

The port of Zemā€™lan was said to have been attacked ā€œin ages past,ā€ and vulpera have been enslaved for ā€œgenerations,ā€ so I suppose the Faithless have been around for quite a while now, which likely means that Sulthis died long before the machine of death broke sometime in Legion.

I wonder where Sulthis wound up in the Shadowlandsā€“and where Sethraliss herself wentā€¦

ā€¦Poor Serrik though, yeah.

Probably Ardenwealde. The Loa supposedly all go there along with the Wild Gods.

I am also fairly certain Sethraliss went to Ardenweald because she is a Loa/Wild God.

What I wanna know is why was she chosen over say another to be reborn with the whole anima shortage going on. This could be a cause of why Vorrik was wondering why she hadnā€™t been reborn yet, (or the trolls Hexing her in the dungeon) and why she was so weak when she came back.

Sulthis had to have died well before the ā€œengineā€ broke, seeing that Mythrax was sent to Volā€™dun during the Aqir and Troll War and that was 16,000 years before The Dark Portal opened.

And that event (Mythrax) is what lead to Sulthis and Sethralissā€™ death.

Vorrik (and formerly Korthek and Serrik) are seriously old men. And imply Sethrak are very long lived.

I thought I would point out that Sethrak npcs do have female combat sounds. Not sure when this was added (likely during BfA and I just never noticed). But it is there.

Edit: A grand total of 3 Sethrak have female voice overs for combat. 2 from BfA and 1, a named NPC in Shadowlands.

Iā€™m wondering if the female voice over for combat was added later and applied to just a couple NPC files.

Many sethraks npcs have male or female designations in their names, including female voices. At least in Portuguese Br. Card too.

Many of the random enemy Sethrak can have the female voice.

Noticed the last time I was out there.

Ah okay.

I knew they had female voice overs. I just didnā€™t notice combat sounds were part of that too. :joy:

Still good though.

Could someone enlighten me as to what the purpose of the ā€œdressing roomā€ animation is for? Other than you knowā€¦ viewing armor, weapons, etc in the dressing room. xD

The reason I ask is, I was playing with the Sethrak models on WoWhead and noticed on the PTR and Beta versions of WoWhead, there is a ā€œDressing Roomā€ animation. But it does not exist on the BfA version of the site.

Edit: Iā€™ve come to the conclusion that while it is not TERRIBLY important, we might see Sethrak get compatibility to view in the dressing room like some other popular NPC races. Which could eventually tie into playable models.

All in all, I would totally love to take a look at what armor and weapons look like on Sethrak. Ya knowā€¦ for science. (Preplanning my transmog)

I recently came across an achievement that grants ā€œThe Stormbreakerā€ as a title:

I wanted to share this here, as I figured it would make a great title for Sethrak characters, such as Shamans. :snake:

Looks like something Iā€™ll be working on. Cause that IS a great title for a Sethrak toon.

Playable Sethrak, please! :snake:

Iā€™m not sure what itā€™s for, but Iā€™m pretty sure itā€™s an animation thatā€™s being added to every creature and character model in the game.

This was my suspicion as well. I checked a couple other races. Ankoan have it added. But say Saurok? They do not.

Still think itā€™s neat, and I am completely prepared to dress up a Sethrak in plans for what mogs I would like to don as one!

If Sethrak became an Alliance allied race I would have gone traitor and played the Alliance BFA storyline.

Oh, really? Quilboar have it, as do gnolls, and most of the beasts I checked. Huh.
