Iād say that the Devoted were the sethrak that were, well, the most devoted. Just like real life in a society, the vast majority can belong to a religion but their level of active devotion varies a lot. Only the most devout held their belief and became the devoted, while the rest became faithless.
So I think Sethrak society held parts from both.
Yes I can see that. Or just like how a given society or even a given religion evolves over time.
And Sethrak are very long lived it seems.
So I took a look at the PTR version of WoWhead, since it was mentioned earlier someone found evidence of Sethrak in the files for 9.0. I typed in Sethrak. Here is a bit of what I found.
Sethrak Commander- 4 different appearances (skin tone variance and clothing color variance!)
Sethrak Student- 4 different appearances (skin tone variance and clothing color variance!)
Sethrak Alcolyte - 4 different apperances (skin tone variance and clothing color variance!)
Sethrak Skycaller- 4 different appearances (skin tone variance and clothing color variance!)
Sethrak Guardian- 3 different appearances (skin tone variance and clothing color variance!)
Sethrak Scrollkeeper - 4 different appearances (skin tone variance and clothing color variance!) <- This one I found interesting because the outfit the Scrollkeeper wears is almost feminine while still gender neutral enough for any gender to wear it. And I like it A LOT.
The Kill Credit file for Sethrak also comes up.
^ All of these files appear to have been added in 9.0.1
What all this means? I have absolutely NO REAL idea, but it looks like Sethrak will be involved (likely through Emeni if I really choose to take a guess) in some shape or form!
Itās good to see more than just Emeni will be in SL, even if these models are just involved with her somehow itās wonderful to see them continue onwards.
If I had to take a guess, we may see and or āparticipateā in what gave her the nickname āThe Slaughter Daughterā.
Either way Iām just so glad to see Sethrak continued with, like you said!
And Iāve got hopes it will lead to more!
All of this stuff is wondrous news! I canāt wait to see more.

I wish I could use a transmog like that in my toons.

Use two of these ` one at the beginning and one at the end for links. Its the button left of the 1 key on most keyboards.
I just see Sethrak Heritage armor.
It should be Sethrak Heritage armor! The armor in the link is the one I was talking about that has a feminine feel while still gender neutral enough for anyone to wear it.
Although I like the armor set Sethrak have with all the glass. That one has my vote for Sethrak heritage armor as well.
Since those are npc clothes, I suspect the Heritage would be a modified version, perhaps of both.
The cloth set plus crystal bits from the other would make an excellent heritage.
It would be nice if Blizzard would eventually do 3 sets for each race.
Light, Medium and Heavy.
Something based off the link one I could see either as light or medium heritage armor for Sethrak.
Though it Blizzard never does 3 sets, I like your idea as well, Fezzy.
Iām a big fan of heritage sets being expanded across the board.
Cloth leather mail and plate would be swell.
Plus it would help hit various themes with races rather than just one.
As much as I would love love love for Blizzard to do all 4. I can see mail being lumped into medium or heavy armor categories to keep it down to just 3 total sets.
If I remember correctly mail is considered a medium armor in Dungeons and Dragons/Pathfinder.
Typical mail armor can be penetrated by piercing weapons such as spears, arrows, etc. Another reason why I would consider it being lumped in with medium.
And I totally agree that more sets per race would add to diversity, racial themes and further customization.
I think any Sethrak heritage armor would somewhat lean on the light/medium side in design, since scales provide natural armor protection. As well as their desert nomad theme.
I kind of like the glass stuff better for a Heritage armour option, itās a little more iconic and flashy and I feel like this set is a bit to plain for it.
It would save them some time, especially since only 2 classes make use of mail but it still gets allllll that work and effort put in. In SL so far I think the mail covenant sets blow all the leather ones out of the water, sad that they wonāt get much useā¦ but I suppose there are always a lot of hunters.
Ideally a player model of THIS armor, would make the perfect heritage armor for Sethrak.
I NEED it.
I love the poncho sethrak casters have, itād make a wonderfully unique centerpiece for a heritage set.
I really wonder how long ago Emeni died, because I could see there being quite a succession crisis when someone titled the āEternal Emperorā turns out not to be so eternal after all. I kind of doubt Korthek would have been humble enough to leave a clear successor, so maybe she earned her title in pursuit of his vacant throne?
/scratches head.
Hm.
Is Korthek actually nobility or did he usurp the throne?
Perhaps Emeni has descendants, and thus a true successor just needs to be found?
Edit: It says he is the āself proclaimedā ruler (of the Faithless) and he and Vorrik co-ruled the Sethrak before the civil divide.
Maybeā¦ Emeni is related to him or Vorrik.
This has potential to tie together nicely if this ends up being more than just speculation on our part.
I would venture to say that this would be the uniform of a highly decorated member of the sethraks.
Someone with a lot of prominence and importance in your society.
For now, we can only speculate about that.
As well as there is nothing about sethraks related to this subject explaining something about the Sethraksā form of government, I think the most certain thing is that it was what it was like in ancient Egypt, with the pharaoh system.
The descriptions that Vorrik, Korthek and Sulthis have in their statues in Voldum, give an idea of āāwhat their positions were before, showing that they were prominent members among their people.
For me, Korthek usurped a leadership that should have been a triumvirate between him, Vorrik and Sulthis.
No other sethrak had the power to help Sulthis seal mithrax, so the three improvised emergency management, as they were the most capable.
But it was certainly Sethralissās job.
After his death, those with a political, military or religious stance must have started looking for ways to restore order among the sethraks.
For me, at some point, Korthek enlisted more followers and with that he declared himself the only leader, making anyone who did not accompany him in his crusade towards the greatness deserved by his people, an enemy.
With the end of the civil war and the return of his Loa, Vorrik seems to assume the functions of high priest of Sethraliss.
