Unofficial Sethrak Discussion Thread šŸ

Aye, we must not lose hope. I still beleive weā€™ll see Sethrak, theyā€™re soooo popular Blizzard has to know and to be thinking on it at least a little. Maybe not for the Alliance but I think they will one day be playable.

Sethrak for the Alliance! (but seriously playable is fine blizz please) :snake:

Also I think Iā€™ve decided to name my Sethrak Tsaeravi.

Iā€™m here to say that Iā€™m afraid of snakes, and Iā€™m glad that the snake people didnā€™t end up on the alliance. TBH I probably wouldnā€™t have healed them. GET THESE SNAKES OUT OF MY RAID.

Iā€™m gonna assume this is a troll post

BUT

As a person who makes efforts to dispel fear of snakes, might I ask why youā€™re afraid of snakes?

IDK, Iā€™ve always been afraid of snakes. They seem dangerous. Like what if one randomly tries to constrict you. Plus they have fangs. Seems like they would feel slimy too. Iā€™ve never touched a snake so, Iā€™m not 100% sure.

Snakes are not slimy. Their scales are quite dry. Not far off from how your own skin feels or the pads of dog or catā€™s feet.

They are also not inherently dangerous. Think of it this way. You as a human, are generally hundreds of times larger than a snake. They are going to be terrified of you. They think you are going to hurt or eat them so they may try and defend themselves. BUT a snake will not attack a person for no reason. They value their lives and gain nothing from going after people. Would you attack a giant if you were the size of a banana?

Most snakes you might encounter are completely harmless and do not have venomous fangs.

They are very important to the environment and help control diseases like Lyme Disease and Plague.

And I promise you, snakes are far more afraid of you than you are of them. They donā€™t want to hurt ya.

And this is why I like the Sethrak. At least the Devoted. They paint snakes in a positive light, how they actually are instead of the fear mongering many of us have been taught about an animal that so few understand.

We understand that some people have fears of snakes, and that is fine, your opinion and dislike of them is not bad. (Unless youā€™re running about killing snakes or something because of it for no reason, then its bad.)

I can tell you that for most of my early life I lived with a Cornsnake and generally speaking most snakes are like them. Theyā€™re not going to harm you or even have much of a capability to harm you. The ones that can harm you will only do so if youā€™re the one forcing the issue.

Also theyā€™re not slimy. They feel at worst like really soft plastic. A little cool to the touch usually too. Its actually kinda niceā€¦ to me anyways.

My ball python tries to constrict my arm sometimes, itā€™s kind of cute. Itā€™s not even enough to cut off circulation. And she doesnā€™t have any fangs, sheā€™s bitten me before (when I moved my hand too fast near her and startled her) and it just feels like a little pinch.

And I doubt itā€™s a hungry constriction, just a need to feel secure.

The whole no arms or hands thing. XD

I only give up on sethrak, when Blizzard itself comes to the forums and declares that it is not possible for them to use sethrak or that they do not want to use sethraks.  :snake:

My brothers corn snake really enjoyed being under blankets too. Always so adorable to find him under a blanket with his snout poking out.

Oh, how I wish we could hear something about Sethrak relatively soon.

Hershey has taken a turn for the worse. I am not sure he will be around by the time I get home from workā€¦ :broken_heart:

I am so sorry to hear that, it really sucks. I hope Hershey makes a miraculous recovery or at the least is able to hold on for you to get home. I cannot imagine what youā€™re going through.

Iā€™m kinda just lost. Got bad news about my momā€™s cancer too. :persevere:

Oh my god. Iā€™m extremely sorry to hear that. That one I do know a bit more about what youā€™re going through, as my dad has cancer too and while its in a good place right now weā€™d had a few really bad news situations happen. Thatā€™s never something youā€™re quite prepared for. It hurts and there is no way to fix it. It sucks. Iā€™m so sorry.

My momā€™s got stage 4 colon cancer with metastasis of the liver and she just got results that the chemo did nothing to the tumors and theyā€™ve found more. Itā€™s not good at all and I live almost 800 miles away from her.

And thank you for that. Iā€™m glad your dad is at a stable point and I hope it remains that way or he beats it! Cancer is so terrible. :confounded:

746.7 miles from my dad. I always feel utterly helpless.

Hes got the kind that doesnā€™t go away but there is a chance that he might reach his natural lifespan at this point before the cancer kills himā€¦ whichā€¦ isnā€™t much better to think of.

No that isnā€™t. :persevere: Iā€™m sorry.

Here is a cute and grumpy baby Western Hognose in a top hat to cheer us upā€¦

It looks like my brothers Cornsnake! (Also a color I hope they have as a skintone for Sethrak if they release them)

My Hubby really wants a snakeā€¦ I might actually break and get one if you keep showing these pictures.

If you do, hit me up. I know a handful of good starter species. (Spoiler: Itā€™s not Ball Pythons lol)

I also like the red-albino color for a Sethrak skin tone.
