I would totally give the snakes if I could!
Iām advocating for the Sethrak where I can. 
Here on the forums. To my fiancĆ©. He wants them to become playable too. Iāve even tossed in a few suggestions in the in-game suggestion box and a suggestion thread on the 8.3 PTR forum.
I annoy my friends with information about them too.

Iāve been sending Blizzard suggestions for them every monthā¦ sometimes twice, but only because I forgot I did it earlier.

Same. XD Though a couple of times it was because I got super excited about an idea that came to mind and I had to get it out before I forgot it. 
Iām starting to dream about the darn things (but itās better than dreaming about work). And itās terribly disappointing to wake up from a dream were Sethrak were announced as playable to find that it isnāt reality.

While its not that important to me if theyāre Horde or Alliance, I suspect Blizzard isnāt going to put them on the Horde if they add themā¦ so theyāll have to find some reason for them to join the Alliance. Let the shaman postulate. Harms no one.

The best bet for Alliance to get Sethrak is that at some point we get introduced another Sethrak kingdom or settlement somewhere else in the world, like Uldum.
Though Iād rather see the Voldun Sethrak in the Horde.
We could see blizz add a quest chain for that sort of start we got during our war campaign. I do agree it would be better one way or another (New group or the same old one of Sethrak) if those quests linked into the 8.3 factions and story.

This wouldnāt be impossible. Hearthstone has Sethrak associated with Uldum. And while I am aware Hearthstoneās lore is not always concrete it would not be the first time weāve seen ideas from Hearthstone applied to WoW in one way or another. Ie: Tortollans and Nāzoth.
And conveniently there is a faction rep coming in 8.3 called The Uldum Accord.
I know as of currently there are no obvious references to it and Sethrak on the PTR. But what is on the PTR and what makes it live are two different things. And who says it wonāt be applied later down the road for Sethrak.
Lastly, theyāve datamined files for Sethrak npcs for 8.3. And I find that interesting.

Oof. Puff Adders are the most adorable danger caterpillars.
If you think the Asian Vine Snake there is slender, look for Blunt Head Tree Snake.
The data mined files are good news! Even if they arenāt directly put into 8.3. Currently there is no location for the data mined npcs. But the files had to have been added for some reason.
Honestly the first thing Iām gonna do when 8.3 hits after the intro quest is look for evidence of Sethrak.

So I cannot remember where I heard it, but I heard someone say that Sehtrak using the female worgen rig. One thing I think this game is really missing is some kind of lizard or dragon race. Sehtrak does seem like it could fit that nicely.

They do use aspects of the female Worgen rig! Thereās a nice breakdown on WoWhead.
Blue Racers are actual snakes. Coluber constrictor foxii is the scientific name. Very pretty animals. Used to look for them but all I would ever find were the Black Racers.
It would make a nice skin tone for the Sethrak.
But I never knew this cartoon even existed.
