Sethrak belong to the Horde!

Overthrow one degenerate tyrant, only to swear fealty to a new, undead degenerate tyrant.

Ion: "If you want to play snek bois... sorry? The Alliance is there waiting for you"

How many of you actually care what faction Sethrak get put on? I would just be happy they were playable at all. Horde gets all the favoritism from blizzard so it wouldn't even be that bad to play a different faction if I had to. That and I could actually play pvp to win!

I'd personally be really disappointed if they weren't alliance. It would be better than them not being playable at all, but my raiding guild is alliance so I wouldn't be able to play them much.

Really seems like we are getting set up for holy undeads and trash gnomes, Vulpera and sethrak for horde..

I still expect to see Sethraks being advertised to the Alliance at some point because hope is better than the sad resignation that a 'no' from Aunt Blizz about them, recalls.

I would honestly be disappointed with something so uneven being made to the Alliance!
That would be very ostracized, committed against Allliance!

In this scenario, I would have to congratulate the Horde for such a good acquisition, with Vulpera and Sethrak!

And to feel a great disappointment, for the very little that would be added to the Alliance, with dull races like junk Gnome or Light undeads.
I'm very interested to see if Sethrak will play a role in the Vol'dun Incursion when it happens. It'd feel very weird for Sethrak to get involved on either side.

Hey Alliance/Horde? Get out of our lands, but please do my WQs for you when they come up in 4 hours.

True, I am curious to see how the incursion events of Voldun to play out. That could likely be the make-or-break moment.
i have a theory about how sethrak could get forced into war, which i mentioned earlier in the thread during 'the debate.'

What if after SoZ, the horde try to stike back and push the Alliance off of Zandalar for good? our largest foothold is in Vol'dun, just north of the Temple of the Devoted. What if the horde and/or Talanji demand the sethrak give them access to the temple to be used as a staging ground/fortified position against the Alliance docks?

Suddenly, the Sethrak are forced into the war whether they were willing or not. Suddenly, they're being asked to strike back at the very faction that saved their leader from poisoning, and who aided in the retrieval of the first keystone. Knowing Sylvanas, and assuming Talanji will be just as impatient and uncompromising after her father's death, the Sethrak could easily be forced into making a choice then and there, which could push them into the ranks of the Alliance.

I wonder if blizzard would change the hordes world quests if alliance gets sethrak.

Most likely not, same as with Nightborne/Highmountain. I was still farming Nightborne rep on my Alliance main long after they joined the Horde (thinking "give me my fox mount you backstabbing gits" as I did it). All current quests in Vol'dun would be considered to take place in 8.0 time, even if you do them in a later patch.
depending on whether they changed the zone to reflect the faction war, possibly. I can't think of any specific examples, but i could have sworn that some daily quests got retired as the story changed in the past...
Didn’t they just add a couple follower missions Alliance side having to do with killing named Faithless? While adding named Harvester (think Stormsong Valley) type missions for the Horde? Or were both sets of missions for both factions?

If not, makes me think Alliance will be helping out Vorrik more and more.
It is almost certain that the goals of the Sethraks could be a cause of conflict with the horde and the zandalares, generating tension.

Well, we'll see how Voldum's lore continues during the 8.1!
umm.. I guess! I'm down for more races but I feel there are older ones that should be added first!

Nah, last truly unique new race blizzard added was pandas. We need a new race added before more reskins or old races.
Sethrak for the Alliance!

At the moment we don't know for certain if those are for each faction, but it is likely given that the Alliance uses harvesters and are getting one as a zone mount ala Spud in Stormsong. Wouldn't make much sense for the Alliance to fight their own machines.

Now I've been finding it interesting that there's not a single Devoted in the entirety of the Vol'dun incursion. It's all about Alliance for whatever reason attacking the Vulpera and the Horde coming to defend them. Vorrik and the Devoted are notably absent yet again when a Horde ally is under attack, and this one is much, much closer than Dazar'alor. I'm not saying it pushes them more Alliance, but it definitely is a push away from them going Horde and shows that their alliance with the Vulpera was a temporary one of convenience.

A harvester for a mount?!?! That's the dumbest thing ever, but I love it. Where do I git me one of dems? How does that even work? Is it a new model or something because the current harvesters are just mechanical scarecrows with no room to mount them.

Not really a mount in the traditional sense. More like a temporary zone super speed mount like Spud in Nazmir. The Horde already has one in SSV, it’s one of those two headed giants, and they are getting a second in Vol’dun.
Kudos to the sneks who ran in solidarity with the gnomes for the running of the gnomes event. They couldn't exactly be pink but they were in spirit.
we have a Vulpera thread? i hype for that race
