I may have formed that sentence poorly. They’re known for disappearing into the snow drifts. Not for doing so for thousands of years. They have been separated for Thousands of years.
This though I still really like! That would be a neat racial to see on the Alliance and I think it fits any bear like species.
For all of you who celebrate this holiday: Happy Holidays!
This year was pretty good for Furbolg! We got three new tribes, new lore and brand new models!
While I don’t think those models are likely to lead to playable Furbolg and they were not added in retroactively like the Gnolls were, it’s still amazing to see blizzard take such steps with an awesome race!
Plus theres some evidence the Furbolg of the Isles have an interest in Amirdrassil which suggests further night elf Furbolg alliances may be forged!
And the icing on the honey comb is that we have had the opportunity to learn Furbolg language!
I hope you’ll all continue to join me in supporting furbolg as an Allied Race next year!
While we didn’t get much this year, I’m hopeful that the furbolg will one day get to shine! Perhaps now that Kotick is out of the picture Blizzard will have more freedom to offer new allied races that players are actually requesting!
Happy New Year’s Eve! Just wanted to reaffirm my playable Furbolg support for next year and beyond! Will make a New Year’s Post shortly after 2024 arrives!
Whatever your plans are for today, please have a fun, happy, and safe New Year’s Eve and Day! I’ll see y’all in 2024!
-Playable Alliance Furbolgs are a bear necessity! Always!
I wanted to reaffirm my support for playable Furbolg for the new year and beyond. Even if nothing comes from Dragonflight, it doesn’t mean something can’t happen in the future.
Speaking of Dragonflight, the next patch is coming out January 16th:
“Dragon Isle Epilogues” is part of the patch’s features, and I’m curious if that may include the Furbolg tribes there. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for anything to help report back.
Until then, here is to a new year and more playable Furbolg support! Cheers!
I hope it does. I haven’t seen anything on the PTR yet but it would be amazing to see the Night Elves interact with these tribes of furbolg and maybe see the beginnings of a new friendship. I’d also love to see the Blackwood come to settle with them o Amirdrassil.
Finally got around to playing around in the new patch. Not a whole lot Furbolg related I saw unfortunately. At best, three of them appear in a questline to look at the new world tree popping out of thin air:
They barely say anything and you can’t interact with them much. The Furbolg shown are the following:
Still, it’s good to see three Furbolg tribes coming together (Longclaw, Rustpine, Winterpelt). Maybe something will come with them making friends with the Night Elves in the future after their tribes recover from events in Dragonflight. And if not, there are plenty of Furbolg tribes on Kalimdor and other places!
I’ll continue to keep an eye out for anything to report back!
These L1 Furbolg are eager to take on adventuring! You can help make their dreams come true!
With the beginning of each month, I make in-game suggestions for each race I want to see playable along with a mention of their respective megathreads on these forums. While it is far from a guarantee of seeing our dreams come true, I do think every little bit helps, and doing it monthly I feel is reasonable and not that intrusive or annoying.
If you’re interested in doing the same for races you want to see playable, I made a little guide on how to do so in-game here:
Let us hope the Furbolg find their way to that character creation screen someday!
In trying to show off how Furbolg could look, I’ve been trying to find art pieces of any bear races. One I found on DeviantArt is a war bear, created by DongjunLu and uploaded to the website on Jan. 2nd, 2018.
Looking at this art piece, I can imagine either a Furbolg Warrior or even a Shaman looking like this. Regardless, this is someone you don’t really want to see charging towards you.
I really think Furbolg could look really interesting if they got fleshed out. I’ll be looking for more art pieces to share just to help imagine that and also inspire some playable Furbolg ideas.
Also, I’m at three posts in a row, which means I can’t make any most posts until someone else posts. So if someone else could post so I can continue to post in here, I’d be very grateful!
This bear is a bit down because there wasn’t much with Furbolg at the end of Dragonflight and they still aren’t on the Alliance side of that character creation screen. However, you can help make this bear and several other players very happy and making their dream come true!

We’ll keep helping to make sure that the Furbolg in general aren’t forgotten!
