The female head is scuffed but honestly I LOVE the effort you put in. Great job by both yourself and Lancelot. Personally Furbolg are way down on the totem pole (no pun intended) for my list of desired races but from one dreamer to another, I salute you.
Yeah they make plenty of references to media and other stories just as well as they take inspiration for whole storylines from other media, twist it a bit for that wow factor, and put it out as WoWs storyline.
Nothing wrong with that mind.
Still wish theyād absorb some other mmo concepts.
Like gw2 materials bank being huge with a slot for each material and being shared across the account.
Technically thatās just Blizzards tradition since wc came into being.
Model edits credit are Lancelotās.
The female head I think looks great though. Honestly Iām immensely impressed that Lance took the Pandaren face, druid werebear form head and managed to marry them so well. Far exceeded my expectations.
Thank you!
May we all get what weāre looking for in time!

To be honest, I would actually enjoy only one concept of another mmo added in here;
From the concept of ashes of creation they have a race there that allows you to pick and mix multiple ālesserā races into a character. kind of like a mix breed race.
But other then that I could care less for adding features from other games into here. I want WoW to be WoW after all.
Iāve seen that I think. It was interesting.
Fair.
I want mostly qol additions from other mmos not to really change wow with it.
Wow should be wow.
I also want furbolg. (pokes blizzard)
Wouldnāt mind having DCUOās appearance system, though.
Mogging is free, you can do it anywhere, and you can customize the colours as you see fit.
Not only that, but they had it before WoW even had a transmog system at all.
The dream.
Old Godās that would be nice.
Wonder what theyād change my racial toā¦
Knowing Blizzard, they might just leave it. Void Elves get a discount for Void Storage now, donāt they? If not, that would probably be the new one. If so, that would probably just become the entire racial.
YUP!
I want a void expansion I want a venom-esque void knight
Mario and Luigi are in Un-goro crater tooā¦pop culture has always kinda been tied in.
Ooooh, I need to play more of that, but so many things and so little time.
I donāt remember the last time Iāve even used void storage on a character.
I just want to go back to Azeroth and have stories that relate to my characters and not some otherworld they were never meant to even see by the gods of my gods. lol
I do want something for Riftblades. But Iām as light on that as just getting a glyph or two to make my Arms warriors abilities voidy to as heavy as yeah lets do the class skin thing for death knight (or even warrior) to give us void warriors.
Thats a topic for my other thread though.
Going back to Azeroth would give me the best chance for furbolg allied race too now I think on it.
They just released their expansion and I want to play it so bad but I also donāt have the time or money right now. T_T
Why am I even paying for WoW though honestlyā¦ I barely play. lol
I used it once when it first came out and never used it againā¦ and for some reason I lost all the things I ever put in it when I came back years later.
I used to store old armor sets in it, but when Transmog became a thing, there wasnāt a reason to do that.
Today Iād like to, very briefly, talk about the Gnarlpine furbolg.
https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/906675648829984808/935965364976746496/Elder_Brandlemar.jpg
The Gnarlpine were the first tribe any night elf player was introduced to as they lived with the night elves in the boughs of the world tree Teldrassil.
Back in vanilla they were corrupted by fel moss and saytr. Attacking Starbreeze Village and the Banāethill Barrow Den as well as making several attacks on Darnassian patrols.
The night elves send you, the player, to deal with them and in theory when Malfurion returned and the corruption of Teldrassil was cleansed the Gnarlpine too were cleansed.
However later in Cata they have again been affected by saytr and they are once again stopped. In theory with the saytr removed and the strongest corrupted among them dealt with they once again may have become uncorrupted.
They would have been a strong, if not uncertain, option for playable furbolgā¦
Until the War of Thorns.
Unlike with the Blackwood furbolg who were crippled during that conflict it is almost certain that the Gnarlpine tribe was destroyed when Sylvanas ordered the Horde to burn the world tree.
As such this tribe is no more.
This is part of my series of posts on the furbolg tribes the rest of which you can find here.
Ursol guide you and Ursoc give you strength.
I wouldnāt cut them out as a possibility entirely. Unlikely, sure, especially compared to other options like the Stillpine, but not impossible. If their ties with the night elves were strong enough itās not a stretch to say some mightāve been in Darnassus could have made it out even if the overwhelming majority were killed. Blizzard has on several occasions made a playable race with an incredibly small population in lore, though probably not this small. In this regard they would particularly be similar to the AU Magāhar.
Blizzard could also have some sort of furbolg federation become a thing, where some or all of the tribes donāt unite entirely but move closer together and become a single political entity. If they did this they could show the creation of it and include some remnants of the Blackwood. When the player character is created they would simply not specify which tribe the player character is from allowing for easy headcannon.
I would also like to know more about the one tribe in eastern Valāsharah, I didnāt even know about them until less than a year ago.
Thats true. Weāve had almost no information about the Gnarlpine even after weāve helped them twice in the past so its not like there isnāt room for more information. It could be that in the intervening years from Cataclysm to the end of Legion they were entirely cured of their corruption and working with the night elves in Teldrassil and Darnassus.
I do worry that since weāve heard nothing and they were always treated and meant as a punching bag for night elf players Blizzard likely will just have them all gone as of its destruction.
I havenāt finished it yet but Iāll have a post about exactly this sometime in the future.
My ideal setup for a playable faction of furbolg isnāt through one tribe but through many.
The setup I currently have written up tends to include the Stillpine, Blackwood, Thistlefur, Barkskin, Bristlelimb, Frostpaw and Redfang tribes as Alliance.
The Timbermaw, Winterfall, Blackmaw and Deadwood join together into a fully neutral furbolg faction that refuses to pick a side remaining neutral.
The Bloodtooth, Foulweald and Felpaw remain hostile to everyone unwilling to trust.
There are two tribes within Valāsharah, Grizzleweald and Smolderhide, and Iām unsure how to work them in. I suspect theyād make easy addons to an Alliance faction as theyāre with the night elves there but those night elves are also technically neutral and a part of the Cenarion Circleā¦
This would be amazing.
Iāve responded before but still support
Having them be left alone would be okay. Not every faction needs to become playable or pick some sort of side (well, aside from obvious cases like the Legion popping up in their home), especially when there are others that make more sense to do so and would essentially be the same thing. Having some isolationist tribes would make the world feel more realistic, especially given theyāre far removed from that faction war and that they live in the middle of a very thick forest.
āA crack elite squad of elves.ā
Yes, this sounds amazing! I say it all the time, but the clans coming together is one of the things I really like about the Magāhar.

Thatās kinda how Iāve been leaning as well for the scenario Iām working out.

Iāve been trying to come up with a name for it.
The Conclave is my first ideaā¦ But as Iāve been writing the scenario I feel like the Conclave would be the meeting of all the furbolg tribes and result in them splitting into the factions I labeled a few posts back.
So Iām back to trying to think of a good name for the furbolg Alliance factions name.
Came across a couple of Furbolg lore videos I thought I would share. Sometimes, it helps having lore info and such in video form.
33 days until the next expansion is announced!
Playable Alliance Furbolgs are a bear necessity!

Thats a good idea actually I might want to attach these to the main post someplaceā¦
I watched both while I was putting this thread together as it happens.

While Iāll be extremely surprised if furbolg are announced with the new expansion heres hoping!
