Unoffical Playable Sethrak Discussion Thread

Well, Shadowlands core races have a duty to uphold and their place is in the Shadowlands redeeming souls. The supporting races could possibly come back to Azeroth with us but they are kinda needed there as well.

Some races I would like to see implemented:

Hozen
Saberon
Mok’nathal
Skinny humans (Kul Tiran option)
San’layn (Blood Elf option)
High elf (make Void Elf option)
Partially withered (Nightfallen option)
Broken Draenei (Draenei option)
Saurok
Sethrak :snake:

*Editing to include Drogbar. I think they are underrated.

I’m still hopeful for both Sethrak, and Venthyr. I’m totally ok with it. I understand it causes some lore irregularities but from the moment I laid eyes on those regal posh vampires I was hooked.

I’m definitely still hopeful. I’m just frustrated and getting impatient. Lol.

This person sums it up.

Entirely with you there. Hopefully we return to Azeroth sometime and give attention to races like this which that would make a lot of sense. Perhaps in the later patches or next expansion. I sincerely hope they’re listening to the feedback of those who really try to do their best giving ideas like this.

If it helps you feel better, I’ve been waiting since TBC for playable Horde Ogres…still waiting sadly…

I knew that when BfA ended and we saw what Shadowlands was, we’d all would be waiting quite a bit for new playable race news of any kind. I’m thinking 2 years or so with Shadowlands with the next expansion’s announcement close to the end of Shadowlands, assuming the expansion after Shadowlands has new races of any kind of course. It can be a frustrating wait to see any possible announcements of new races, especially since it seems unlikely that we’d see 10+ races. Seeing the customization promise abandoned kerfuffle also didn’t help much.

Still, I keep hope that Blizzard would see the passion and support we’ve been giving for several races to consider them for playable status. I think of it as planting some seeds and giving it love and care to see if they bear any fruit in the future. It isn’t guaranteed, but hey, you never know.

As I said before, I still plan to continue leading support for Ogres and Saurok on the Horde, and I hope others continue marching for support for their wanted races as well. The megathread communities have been awesome to be part of and to see the love people have for different races. I do hope we’ll see these races eventually find a spot on that character creation screen and make some dreams come true for all of us, complete with celebrations and such.

But until then, I’ll keep my expectations tempered and see what happens. Still, there is a part of me that keeps hope of some kind. Regardless, I’ll keep going so long as I continue to play the game, and I hope y’all march with me as well.

Let’s get some reptiles on that character creation screen! :snake: :crocodile: :turtle:

I mean, I remember some people complaining that they could not play Ogres for Vanilla wow. So it’s been since the game released. Same with High elves for Alliance, although that one is half added at this point, now we just need regular hair colors as well.

We’ll just have to be patient.

Keep making our voices heard.

Happy Monday!

Nothing new at the moment to report on Sethrak.

And again, apologies for being less active. Life is busy. My wrist still hurts so I can’t draw much. :weary:

Still requesting and hoping Sethrak to be a playable race!

I just started re-watching the original Stargate TV series. I forgot how much those guys look just like Sethrak!

Stargate or Sethrak?

I’m thinking I will try to keep a character slot for a Sethrak character, as I’d hate to miss out on them if they become playable. Especially since I’m dangerously close to the 50 character cap limit, which I hope increases someday. Leaning towards them as a Shadow Priest, as I would think Priest would be a likely class choice for them.

I think I mentioned before, but the name I have reserved is the name of my first Everquest 1 character ever, which was an Iksar (Lizardman race). It has a lot of meaning, so I would hope to use it on a reptilian race in WoW. It’s a bit more fitting as a Sethrak name as opposed to a Saurok name, though I have a couple of names for if I happen to get playable Saurok someday that I also used back in the day in Everquest 1.

Perhaps I’ll share it someday if we get our wishes granted and get the races we want playable.

I still have “Riskynoodle” saved on my server and probably will forever. One of my existing roster of alts would definitely get race changed though - that one would just be the patsy that gets leveled for heritage armor lol

Sethrak continue to be of interest on Twitter too.

Really hope we go back to Azeroth soon. And it involves playable Sethrak.

And some of the other requested races.

As always, playable Sethrak please!
