Unoffical Playable Sethrak Discussion Thread

Well, I’ve said many times that Blizz dropped the ball on Kul Tirans. The skinny model with the wicker golem as balance form would have been awesome. Actual mechagnomes could have been a cool niche. Broken Draenei should have been given instead of Lightforged. I could see Rajani joining Alliance. I agree though, Alliance development is terrible. Just not much creativity.

uncertainly, everything related to drustvar repudiates me.
I feel like dealing with hillbilly people who have spent generations getting married between cousins.

I cannot imagine rajani in the alliance, since they are titanic guardians extracted from the thin air.
A race with no history and made of marble.
Another placebo in the best purple blood elf style. Jinyus? No.
Another race without personality and that helps both the Horde and the Alliance. They would certainly end up in the horde, since the horde obviously helped much more than the alliance.

And the alliance would pick up a race of gnomes made of wood. Obviously.

Quit being miserable and come over to the winning side already.

It’s hard to come up with anything cool to go with a sickeningly goodie-two-shoes faction. I guess I could see fairies being a good fit.:fairy:‍♀

We have War Mode, which solves the wPvP thing entirely already.

Furbolg, Ankoan, Jinyu, Frostborn, proper Wildhammer, Arrakoa, Void Ethereals and of course Sethrak (in a neutral capacity) are my dreams for the Alliance.

You know what? I wouldn’t be surprised if Blizz did something as cheesy as add Necrolords to Horde and Kyrians to Alliance because nobody asked for it.

Do you really think it would be something like Kirians would be wasted on the alliance?

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Horde received venthyr and allicance received virmen for some obscure reason.

Yes, please.

Oddly enough I find virmen way more interesting than those things from the afterlife. I sincerely do not like the venthyr at all. Virmen, on the other hand, would look really neat if they did them like Hearthstone. I’d actually play one, unlike any of the meh afterlife races.

At least they’re azeroth races and make sense, unlike shadowlands races.

Hope Blizzard considers the races on AZEROTH/OUTLANDS that people have been asking for rather than any of that other stuff. (Personal opinion.)

But it would certainly be something like it was done with the same idealized vision, used with mechagon’s gnoms. :robot: :disappointed:
Not something like done in heartstone. :rabbit:

Blizzard likes to keep its sense of proportion and equity evident.

AHAHAHA.

Yeah, I kind of hate the idea of the shadowlands races becoming playable.

They should not become playable in my honest opinion.

We got some perfectly good Azerothian races that should be added instead.

(LIKE THE SETHRAK BLIZZARD, PLEASE)

As I said before in my own personal opinion many, MANY times and for multiple reasons, making any of the Covenant races playable would kill a lot of my interest in the game. It would be very different if we were in the living world somewhere as opposed to the afterlife.

Not to mention that it would really lower the whole impact and meaning of death, where you make it a revolving door. What is the point of killing a named being on the other faction if they would just walk right out as a covenant race, ready to fight again? Rinse and repeat for others and make death meaningless and just a minor setback at best. Not to mention making the story feel more convoluted in general.

Besides, we have several races in the living world that would love to get some love, development, and a spot on that character creation screen. Some requested for many years and even some already part of their respective factions. I’d rather see them become playable and make some people’s dreams come true than cosmic beings involved in the life/death cycle that would have so many issues to begin with as a playable race.

We’ll see what happens as we continue in the Shadowlands, but I’m hoping the rainbow out of this storm involves some more new races from the living world, who are still living of course, joining the Horde/Alliance. I already know several that would be a great fit.

Yeah, I’m with y’all in that I don’t think Shadowlands races should become playable. They need to stay in the Shadowlands. I am not a fan of any of them, tbh. I love the Tirnenn though.

I’m a fan of the Dredgers.

Same as the rest of you though…

I don’t want to see any shadowlands race made playable…

I don’t begrudge folk who do though. We all like what we like.

Woah that looks very different to usual virmen, I like it

End of the month reminder to submit suggestions in game for your favorite races!

I do one for;
Sethrak
Saurok
Kelfin
Furbolg
Alteraci
San’layn
Ogres
And Wildhammer… Cause I’m petty.

I don’t think I’ve posted my little guide to submit in-game feedback in this megathread, so I’ll go ahead and post it here to show how to submit in-game suggestions. You can also do it from the BNet launcher, if I understand correctly. I’ll likely be doing this with more megathreads too gradually.

Once a month on only one character, I send an in-game suggestion for the races I want playable. I do one suggestion for each race and refer to their megathreads on the official US WoW forums for more information. It’s something I don’t regularly do, as I don’t want to spam the system, but it is something I try to at least do occasionally.

If you’re interested in submitting in-game feedback for any races you are interested in becoming playable, here is how to get to it in game:

Step 1: Press ESC to bring up the general menu.

Step 2: Click “Support.” It’s at the very top of the menu.

A new window in-game should load. It can take a few seconds for it to load completely. Underneath the “Search World of Warcraft Support” search bar, you should see a line of square images that refer to specific categories of support.

Step 3: Click the “Submit feedback or bug report” square. It should be on the far left when you first load the support window.

It’ll take a second to load that part.

Step 4: Click the lightbulb icon on the right that says “Submit a suggestion”

Step 5: Click in the text box on this window to begin typing a suggestion.

You’re now ready to submit an in-game suggestion!

It’s limited to 500 characters you can type, so you have to be a bit creative in the limited space. As I said before, I usually do one suggestion for each race I want playable, giving a very brief mention of the race, the faction I want it for, and why I feel they’d be great to add. I then make sure to type the name of the associated megathread, assuming they have a megathread, and mention they’re on the official US WoW forums, stating to go there for more info, such as ideas, fan support/designs, ongoing discussions, etc.

When you submit the feedback, it states you won’t get a response, but that it’ll be looked at in some way. Now, this wouldn’t be a sure-fire way to get a race playable, but it can’t hurt to do so in my opinion. After all, we have to show support somehow!

So for those interested in supporting a race you want playable, this is how to do it in-game. As I said, I usually do this once a month (on just one character) at most so as to not spam the system. However, multiple people doing it could help a lot to showing support for races we’d love to see playable.

Also make sure you’re submitting a suggestion and not a bug. I mean, yes, the character creation screen lacking playable reptilian races is quite the game-breaking bug (with an easy fix!), but a suggestion will likely be received better as opposed to sending that as a bug report.

Hope that helps!

I could almost make an exception for the stewards. They’re so cute. And I love owls.

But they’re still a Shadowlands denizen. So I would probably have to pass…

I would much rather have Sethrak or some of the other Azerothian races people have been asking for.

As always, playable Sethrak please!

And as Bagzak said, don’t forget to occasionally drop those suggestions in game. :snake:

I have this attitude but with Stoneborne. I do like them so much better than the others in Reven. Their design is awesome.

^ Took the words right out of my mouth there.

Yes please, playable Sethrak, I say this a lot and I’m going to say it more, but I would roll one, and make a character backstory around one (or two).

Warcraft needs something positive to be done to regain prestige with the players and reduce the boil that the latest decisions have caused.

Sethraks would be a good way to please the audience. Much better and more lasting than investing time and resources in systems that will be abandoned in the next expansion.

Systems are ephemeral. Playable races are for eternity. :heartbeat: :snake:

Yeah overall, I’d prefer Blizzard to focus on the races we’ve seen for years but still don’t have playable. Azeroth races have so much more reason to be involved than any other realm or worlds.
