Unoffical Playable Sethrak Discussion Thread

That’s why they didn’t give you them at all and gave you the other Vol’dun race right? :face_with_hand_over_mouth:.

Good lucky with your very unlikely possibility of getting another BFA AND Zandalar race I guess, hopefully blizzard doesnt become as boring as you want them to be.

Night elves saved blood elves from extinction in WC3 and yet joined the horde.

Nightborne were saved by Night elves and the Silver Covenant, both alliance forces, and were given to horde because they made Tyrande racists to magic :man_shrugging:.

Forsaken also save them.

Silver covenant helped as kirin’tor force, not the alliance and aside from military support, blood elf were the one who gave the most support to the nightborn people.

Night elves saved them first FROM the undead.

The Silver covenant is part of the Alliance vanguard, a reputation in wrath, they’re strictly Alliance, they do not work for the Kirin Tor, they’re the representatives of the Alliance in it.

Ok keep living in your head canon.

Let me know what you see in that description.

Ok before this goes spiraling out of control to Nightborne semantics, the fact remains that the Sethrak were CANONICALLY saved by the Horde. They are even present during the coronation of Talanji. They wouldn’t join the Alliance just because they briefly helped them. You can try and spin it however you like, but it’s true.

That’s why in my particular “they go neutral” scenario it’s a group of Faithless fleeing the Horde that go Alliance.

Honestly, even for those of us who do want to see them Alliance we cannot just try to pretend that they’re not very much set for the Horde right now.

This can change and no one should change their interests on it, but it’s most likely they’d go Horde.

A new neutral race would be ideal, so both factions can be awesome sethrak. A shame so many people are against it though.

Absolutely.

Sethrak as a neutral race let’s everyone be happy and play the snake they want.

I especially like the remaining Faithless going Alliance as The Remnant because if blizzard does it right you can have a mix of hardline Faithless and less hardline who just didn’t want to join the Horde or fled with their families.

Meanwhile the Devoted are bringing other Faithless back into the fold so the horde gets the Devoted peaceful ones and some of those reformed Faithless.

I’m entirely game for neutral. In fact, I wish more races were neutral. I’m not a fan of factions anyway (at all) but at least more neutral races would be nice.

How sad that you are an exception.

Something the alliance needs to receive is remarkable, exotic and unique.

But many people prefer us to stay that way, ostracized.
If we suggest arakkoas, there are people who say that they are more in league with the Horde because they are monsters.
If we suggest saberons, they will say that they match the Horde more because they are too wild for the alliance. Are Night Elves a joke then? After Teldrassil and Legion, they are.
If we suggest Vrykul, they say that vrykuls hate humans and that they are more suited to the Horde.
Didn’t purple blood elves hate humans, too?

What is certain is that nothing can be written in history that allows something for the alliance.
If Blizzard decided to give draconics to the horde, the alliance would receive sporeggar, as if it were a favor.

There is the idea that such a race does not match the alliance because the horde matches more with a monstrous-looking race.

I wonder how monstrous two races of elves (Sindorei and Nightborne) are like orcs and trolls. pandaren, tauren and vulperas are nothing monstrous.
Or are people who say that aware that monsters do not build cities or live in society with laws?

What is right is to call them demi humans.
The alliance could very well have another exclusive breed of demi humans, that would be charismatic and awaken the hype, to revitalize and enhance the faction, as it was with worgen.

Are setharks impossible for the alliance? Well, yes they are.
But that’s because Blizzard didn’t write anything representative of them with regard to the alliance, much to the amusement of many hordes that saw their faction receive the best BfA highlights and the alliance receive the consolation prize for losers.

At the moment, I just want sethrak to be a playable race. in the horde it will be enough.
I have a tauren and 3 vulperas.
Having a sethrak in the horde is not going to be a sacrifice for me.

It is only sad that even in the simplest, there is a tendency to always do less for the alliance regardless of how negative it can be for the faction’s health and existence.

But if this is how things are in the alliance, then so be it.

Have Mercy.

YES, ALL OF THE YES. Lol.

I love snakes.

Same. I love birds too.

But whatever gets us the Sethrak.

I may be a bit less active here due to real life circumstances/engagements. But I’m still advocating for playable Sethrak elsewhere as well as here. Pretty sure the Devs are tired of me (and a few other people) on Twitter.

I imagine they’re getting tired of my suggestions in game every month about Sethrak, Furbolg, Kelfin, Saurok, San’layn, Alteraci and Ogres…

Let them be. Never let them forget the races you want to see playable.

Sethrak for the players!

Dropping in to give some support for Sethrak! I would roll one for sure, and make a neat backstory for them. Hope our voices will be heard someday

That’s because the Alliance sucks :laughing:

I’m actually for neutral as well and it would be really cool if you could actually swap factions by questing and gaining / losing rep rather than having to actually pay for a faction swap. I would like to play my NE druid but I want to play as Horde. Same for my NE demon hunter and VE priest.

This is how the entire game should be at this point TBH.

Apparently this is an extremely unpopular opinion but our factions don’t matter anymore, BFA ended and addressed our consistent and pointless warring and all factions do at this point is cut the players options and community to play with in half.

No other MMO has a restrictive faction system like WoW does anymore.

Yeah I’m not a fan of factions personally, never really have been. Plus, I play a Death Knight, so naturally my character would be more inclined to fight for Azeroth as a whole as opposed to petty squabbles. Especially with how the story is going, it just doesn’t make sense.

I really…really wish they would at least let us have neutral guilds. If people want to keep their factions and sports-mentality, that’s fine, but giving the rest of us an option would make far more sense, in my personal opinion. Neutral guilds would actually bring me back to the game. It’s one of the few things that would.

The funny part is that most PvP instanced content can stay exactly the same and getting rid of factions wouldn’t hurt it at all, they would fight for the same reason they state the Pandaren do, for sport.

The only thing that could possibly be hurt by getting rid of factions is world PvP, but even then, world PvP is insanely one sided and they had a fun time creating FFA PvP world zones like the snake pit in Bastion, all they need to do is sprinkle those around zones in expansions from now on and people will flock to world PvP.

Snakes for Azeroth please.

Honestly, I just want the race to be available to players.
If something like this is very offensive to be proposed or imagined for the alliance, as many of the suggestions seem to be even when they involve races like saberons, arakkoas or vrykuls, then disregard it.

Blizzard seems to prefer to do this to us. Unattractive and static.
The Horde seems to like it that we are like this. Unable to be more than a meme.

But it is not for lack of suggestions. It just so happens that the Alliance has no development of anything that piques interest or attracts new and old players with the races we have.

Kultirans? Junkgnomes? Blood elves purple palcebos, that copy the blood elves of the horde?

Have Mercy.
