I’ll be honest I’ve never been a huge snake fan, don’t hate them, just weren’t really for me. The Sethrak did intrigue me as a potential AR somewhat but after seeing all of this… makes me strongly strongly want them.

I don’t think everyone realises how well thought out of a race they are. They got solid design and some very good lore.
I’m finding more. Traditional Arab and other middle eastern jewelry is amazing. So intricate. This woman looks beautiful.

I do not think accessories for Sethrak need to be THIS elaborate. But inspiration could easily be drawn from it.

I love them. Clearly those coins thingies are common there. Seems like a good choice for some inspiration for Sethrak.
Thank you for all your dedication, the main thing I see people say when I want Sethrak is that they say that the gear wouldn’t work (Specifically helmets same thing with their necks not working with armor?) Would love to know your input on this if you have time (Unless you mentioned it before!)
I’ve heard this argument plenty of times. Usually it is people that don’t play Worgen or Tauren. Or are unaware of mogging issues the two races have.
Helms and gear will work fine on Sethrak. We got Worgen. We got Tauren. And thanks to Mechagnomes, we have permanent slots that cannot be mogged.
So. Armor won’t be an issue. Some pieces or sets just might look weird. Just like on Worgen and Tauren.
OR, you make the Helm slot disabled.
No problem.

I didn’t go into detail in my main post because it’s really not an issue (but there is a link that goes over it more. https://www.wowhead.com/sethrak-race-in-voldun.) And Blizzard has said in interviews that “issues” like this are not what they’re looking at when they’re considering races to be playable.

The armor/helm thing has been debunked so many times and it’s a flimsy argument at best. I recently had some people bring it up with me and I explained why it’s not an issue, and used that Tauren pic for reference. And yeah, they were like “Oh… I stand corrected. Let’s have playable Sethrak!”
Most helms and some spaulders clip really bad on worgen. The mane clips a lot. Makes us look like porcupines with quills stabbing through. 
If the Devs were to make the helm slot disabled. There could be accessories made for those that do want something on their head.
Then with the heritage armor, the helm slot becomes available.
But all in all, its not going to be why Sethrak don’t become playable.
And I still think Sethrak are a strong contender.
Popular. Great lore. Great design. I absolutely adore everything about them.
I’m excited to see what might happen in Shadowlands. First thing I’m probably gonna do is look for those Sethrak npcs that were datamined.
It’s when! (Also note my ears clipping through helm, forsaken bones, all of it!) But yeah, I just want to know when they add them so I can finally rest down and play my snakes! I wish I had as much time to dedicate myself to adding more to these Sethrak forums as I just pop in a bit in here every once and a while… I’ll try more often I suppose!
Sethrak NPCs are a good sign, most likely we will get Kyrians, Faun, Necrolords (Would be really interesting to get Necrolords), as well as Venthyr first though.
I loosely suspect. Well it’s more speculation than anything. That Sethrak MIGHT be an AR tied to Maldraxxus.
Reason I say this is when they datamined the AR stuff, the female Necrolord example is an abomination. And it uses the same model as a certain Sethrak’s abomination form.
I could just be putting a tin foil hat on though. 
Yeah got two people in the wowhead discord saying due to sethraks low pop in Shadowlands it wouldn’t work given the story. I can’t let that just get to me, I mainly just want to see if allied races will get in at all
We really don’t know is the thing. There are 3 named Sethrak npcs associated with Emeni. Emeni is the 4th.
Then there is at least 3 or 4 generic Sethrak npcs. And we have no idea where the named Sethrak are or the generic Sethrak are. But the files show up when you look at beta on WoWhead.
People also gotta remember that there will be more patches to SL’s and Blizzard said AR would not be a thing at launch. Launch is 9.0, maybe 9.0.5 as well. We will have at least 2 more major content patches. We have no idea where that will lead.
It is completely possible they put those files in for later.
Time will tell why.
