“Hey guys I’m Vaelian, I think we should have X-number of races in the game cause that’s what WoW is all about Also balance doesn’t matter! Soon we’ll all be playing the same class and spec because they neglected making the game playable I’m smart”
I’ve yet to see the game unplayable, resorting to personal attack is a pretty poor way to argue a point as well.
Makes a whole lot of sense to drop into a thread about races and whine about other aspects of the game as well. Go start a thread about balance if you have such an issue with it.
Not the entire game, but certain drivers of the game like classes and specs.
Please keep this thread on topic. Vaelian is right in that the art team working on something like a race in no way impacts things like balance.
Guess what the overarching theme of my argument is? Money!
Money put towards yet another race is a waste of MONEY. Doesn’t matter which team works on the new race, it’s all a waste of MONEY.
There. That better, Mr. Lore?
Far as I know there are only Brokers in Oribos.
Why would it be hard for him to get one among his many agents?
I imagine she stole one.
Big yes.
Races are not useless they are fun.
Also the devs working on balancing are not the ones who work on new races excepting their racials. Which are hardly relevant.
Blizzard has more than enough money. Your issue is with their failure to spend it effectively.
Go look at their Financials. They are fine. Their issue lies in a failure to use that money well.
Incidentally when you give your customers what they’ve been seeking for literal years it tends to increase their interest in your services.
Sure. This is clearly true.
The more you speak the more you lose any sense.
WoD was the worst.
They aren’t the same teams.
I take it you are a child?
Be an adult. If you feel this is a problem, go tell blizzard.
We will continue to ask for what we want.
Classes and specs aren’t unplayable. Some have a few minor issues. Your problem is in min maxers apparently. You don’t have to listen to icey veins you know.
Very true.
Their money isn’t an issue.
I know it’s a little childish on my part ,but connect the dots makes a better picture than trying to see just one dot that has no meaning to as a whole.
Glad the off topic discussion has stopped, now we can get back to requesting ethereals
No one is talking about money not being an issue, nice try inserting a counterpoint into my argument though when I never argued they were strapped for cash.
Regardless of their financials, they spent all of those hours implementing new races in BFA, and look how a majority of the community views BFA - the worst expansion in WoWs history.
But sure, lets continue down that road and see where it gets us.
If they ever do get implemented, I’ll be changing my first character that I carried over from the vanilla-BC era to an Ethereal, regardless if they’re faction locked or not.
I think we’re overdue for a core race slot soon in an expansion or so, and with how Ethereals are with their unique appearance and animations (and their conflict/experience with the void which we’re getting heavily hinted to confront), they could be a good contender.
It’s amazing to see this thread hitting over 1,000 views! We won’t be giving up anytime soon.
We don’t stop! Ethereals full force!
I wouldn’t say childish. I just think it’s a reach.
Feels like one of pyromancers wild claims with no proof.
I think the brokers just happen to look like and act like ethereals and that’s probably it.
I could be wrong which I’m good with too though.
They’re definitely a candidate. For sure.
Going into speculation territory for a moment: If Brokers have any connection to Ethereals, I could see it being an Odyn and val’kyr situation, where the Ethereals found some cultural inspiration from peering into the Shadowlands somehow and observing the Brokers.
Hmm… Given their backstory I don’t think that will work.
Ethereals had their own culture and world and the big thing that happened was from their world being devastated. Nothing there suggests they reached into the SLs for guidance.
I think it’s more likely the brokers are just death creatures that happen to be very similar.
Though I want to stress I also wouldn’t mind a connection of some kind.
Yeah, I consider it a major reach myself. My hope for any sort of connection is mostly around the fear that the Ethereal’s story doesn’t end up being replaced/forgotten about by Blizzard, but I’m fine with them being two distinct entities that happened to develop similar mannerisms.
It’s quite likely that if they came across one another. Maybe during the aftermath of K’aresh some Brokers arrived to collect some artifacts and decided to offer their technological knowledge to the displaced Ethereals. It would explain the similarities easily. I simply find it hard to believe the similarities happened by chance.
Not sure if this has been mentioned or not but, how would gear work with Ethereals? I mean if they are just pure energy basically, how would that even work? Regardless, it seems like a really cool idea and I always thought the ethereals in some of the burning crusade dungeons were really cool
Treat the wrappings as their “skin” put armor on it.
