I’ve watched PShearo destroy R14 ret paladins countless times.
Ret is bad at PVP.
Ret is nearly dead last in every classic duel tournament with good players.
99.9% of the rogue population isn’t even close to the insane apex of rogue skill cap and timing required to win matches that aren’t in his favor.
The reason he wins unlikely battles is that his personal game skill and knowledge and timing is so much better than his opponents.
He’s a legit R1 arena player and ill point out incredibly good by that standard; Its not a surprise at all.
No ret has come close to winning any dueling competition against equally skilled players in classic wow.
They are bad.
Dueling isn’t World PvP or even BG’s.
Yeah because you die in 1v1s, world PVP, and BGs without a healer.
Pala is surprisingly Good and general I win, I’m not perfect at pala but its a very Good class, most are just lacking. Bout the only time I dont win is when I’m fully out of CD’s and have no consumables.

If you dont use a fap or batch vanish the hoj a rogue dies in 1 hoj after giving a geared ret a full reckoning stack in his opener.
Resets etc are needed for his cds yeah, but every hoj is a potential death. I used to duel R14 rets a lot and honestly it’s one of the harder match ups because of the hoj into reckoning blast. Tanky targets like ret, spriest, war all benefit from a expose armor reset.
I only ever raid for the T1 5set + Mc daggers + Zg trinket to go with the pvp 3set. Least time investment build that I can do and is competitive against even the best gear (because rogue stronk). I used to play on henhouse duel server ive got an ungodly amount of personal data on matchups. Ret/spriest are the 2 trickiest in my opinion. Mage is 50/50 if the mage is equal in skill to rogue, but its the class i have the most experience against so its a free kill from my pov except for very rare cases.
Even if the ret or spriest is bad there’s a lot of things that can go wrong (like building up his reckoning in opener & not immuning the HoJ = death). Full geared rets hit harder than you give them credit for tbh. Im not disputing tournament results, but you’ve also got the historically best pvp player in the game on that warlock. Might be more personal skill difference than class superiority.
Rets are awful they don’t do any damage. They can’t kill anyone in a HOJ. They don’t get a full reck stack with opener.
Rogues can tank a lot with decent gear.
You are awful at PVP based on your dumb comments. Sees rogue in T2, realizes he is just a PVE andy.
If you were a PVP rogue you’d be in T1.

You are incorrect, rogue opener stunlock builds up reckoning, just takes 5 crits for full stack. HoJ so you cant dodge and its INSTANT death + hammer even at 5k+ hp rogue. Full R14 ret can do this every hoj, you must batch vanish or lip or fap or something to avoid the hoj or you die flat out.
Enjoy the T1 rogue supremacy & stop hating on everything that moves

I had a T1-2 rogue on Mal’Ganis and stayed away from the R14 paladin for this reason. There were no trinkets and if you got stunlocked in a HoJ after opening on him, it was game over. maybe I did need more stam but not sure if it wouldve been enough to survive that.

I ran around with fort + Zg Stat buff and even then at 6k hp it was basically a 1 shot + hammer to finish.
You must vanish the hoj as kidney is ending, or use consumables to immune it. Its just how it is, only way around it unfortunately.
Then he bubbles and you need to reset before next hoj is available lol

You die in a hoj while wearing T1 + pvp gear, even stamina buffed JUST SAYING lul
A fully geared ret + full reckoning and a hoj is just death or close enough for a hammer of wrath
Backstab crits during stunlock = at least 2 crits could be more if you tea or zg trinket
Then 3 auto attack crits during full cheapshot and kidney happens basically every single time
Every stunlock opener gives ret reckoning stack, if you dont avoid hoj the grandmarshal claymore hitting you 5 times at once KILLS you lol
Ive played vanilla like 10+ years on pservers including duel servers and im telling you as a matter of fact a decked ret and spriest are the 2 hardest fights to win as a rogue in T1.
They dont have go be good at all, they could be a child, doesnt matter.
A mage HAS to be good to beat me and even then its just a 50/50. Personally ive got way more duels vs mages because its my favorite duel, but i have to be way more careful vs a ret or spriest.
Watch my movie then to see if thats true or not. My openers are unique and I string together 1v6 streaks, 1v2, 1v3, wipe dungeon groups and other clips.
