And also, neither Metzen or Afrasiabi are around in Blizzard anymore. Stuff can and should move on.
āā¦Weāre all mad hereā¦ā
Exactly. I mean. I typically embrace the madness. Itās so much easier than fighting it.
I havenāt fallen to that point yet. But when I do, Iāll be out the door, most likely. Friends talked me down off that ledge already. Not sure theyāll be able to a second time. Just depends on how the madness goes. lol
I already went there and done that. You donāt have to be dedicated to just one game. I played FFXIV for a while on and off (and a few others). While I was playing those games, it reminded me of how many of the things that WoW has done right and keeps doing right despite its many flaws. Sometimes taking a break is a good thing, for it helps you put things into a better perspective.
I play Old Republic and Rift on the side. I get sad 'cause Rift is empty and annoyed that Old Republic trashed their good systems with the new update. lol
I have a love/hate with the game. I leave and come back and leave again. Itās something my wife and I play together so we tend to stick around until weāre not having fun. Itās still one of the best games on the market for group content and pure gameplay, but thatās about all these days.
In Oribos go to the place where Bolvar Fordragon hangs out and look for Calia. She should have a big yellow ā!ā over her head. Thatās the beginning of the Dark Ranger Quest.
However itās not a new race. Dark Ranger gives you the ability to go to the barber and get red eyes and gray skin on your Elf (Night, Blood or otherwise).
I went through it, itās fun. I like the way they sent us back to Lordaeron for part of the quest. I wish they would do that sort of thing more often.
I mean there is already a couple of paladin undead. Not sure how it would work lore wise, technically they would be in pain constantly, Unless of course light undead peps like calia are undead via the light.
Iāve been around WoW a long time. What Iāve read and where it came from is lost to history for the most part.
No the people that the devs and story team both work for allow it .
Game dev and story dev are pretty much lateral positions and not one above the other.
Light Necromancy.
Well, I might not have heard everything at this point, but Iāve heard enough.
Canāt wait though, undead paladin hype.
I get what Blizzard is trying to say about Light necromancy because whether or not you use shadow magic or the Light, youāre essentially trying to bring a corpse back to ālifeā but where as Shadow magic and typical necromancy leads to imperfect monsters the Light leads to wholesome regeneration and revival except for in certain cases where someone is so tainted by something that complete revival isnāt possible and so something like Calia appears I guess.
Iām not sure what the plan for undead paladins would be though, I can see people signing up to be revived in the case of gruesome death to continue their fight in the mortal world but is Calia really going to be going around trapping people in their half mangled bodies instead of letting them pass on?
All this makes me think is that every class that can rez is now a necromancer
I cannot wait for the day when you can legitimately make this in game
Nah just Malganis trickery again.
Personally I hate the idea of all race/class restrictions being removed. Really destroying race culture imo.
They donāt even need to justify UD PLD, one already exists in the Argent Dawn, the light just happens to hurt him and he learns it after Undeath, its similar to being a Priest essentially.
Besides at this point there is no point in restricting the classes based on races anymore, outside of perhaps Demon Hunter and Evoker just due to animations (with DH being obviously vastly easier to implement to the others in comparison). You donāt need to justify the lore, just have it be customization and gameplay related and that is it. Not everything has to be tied to the lore and need an explanation.
For instance, hey you can make Undead Druids or Worgen Demon Hunters, they just arenāt canon, just there for gameplay. Who cares. These concepts and things have existed in DnD and various other RPGs for ages now, itās ridiculous that WoW still restricts it.
I mean we had an undead horseman back in wrath to be honest.
