Right now, I’m keeping it in the realm of “Gameplay, not canon”.
Frankly, I hope a lot of it stays that way.
This would be a good way to simply explain opening all races and classes. The same way they’ve said in the past all Forsaken priests are Shadow, because the Light burns them, but gameplay wise they can be any spec.
Only canonize things that they want to canonize.
But until we get an official word from Blizzard either way, both are possibilities.
You can’t completely separate lore from the game. That’s a lazy and bad way to do it. The better way iscto actually add storyline and maybe some racial class skins to help it make sense.
You can’t separate the RPG from the MMORPG.
It’s not the ideal way, but neither is saying “Well, forsaken actually have nature magic and are druids with healing powers of life” and whatnot. It’s picking the lesser bad of numerous bad options.
Dark Ranger skin on Paladin belf = Undead Paladin. Now it spreads.

There’s no way to “spread” being an Arthas or Sylvanas raised elf.
I do find the customization for Darkfallen to not make sense for most classes, but we don’t “spread” this. lol
Methinks many are reading what you want to happen in the displayed dialogue, just saying.
It’s not a want, it’s just pointing out a new justification for Forsaken Paladins. Which has nothing to do with the Darkfallen customization.
Spread as in, it’s already too late to stop. Blizzard has opened the door and unleashed the beast, and now it’s just going to keep growing.

I’ll never understand why so many people want undead paladins. Paladins were originally meant to destroy the undead, not become them (insert Obi Wan meme here). The idea of a forsaken paladin to me just seems wrong. Like a Yankee in a Red Sox Jersey

sounds to me like they’re justifying dark-ranger paladins, not human-undead paladins.
Well it’s more “Darkfallen” in a general sense and not strictly Dark Rangers.

Finally did quest and made my Dark Druid 
All satire aside. I honestly don’t think Blizzard cares anymore. They can’t tell a cohesive narrative and really seem to have given up trying. So if they don’t care why should we? We’re past the point of no return, so they may as well go ham with it.
