I can’t seem to get “Hour of Reckoning” quest on my Death Knight (Penguins on Wildhammer) and don’t know how to start the chain allowing me to play in BfA zones.
I read other people with similar problems, and thought maybe I needed to do the Legion starting quests first, but those seem to have dead-ended with a different missing NPC at “The Battle for Broken Shore” quest start.
I’m having the same problem. I met Shaw at Stormwind Harbor and turned in the quest there, then did the Battle for Lordaeron quest, but the follow-up quest to meet with Anduin’s War Council won’t pop up afterwards.
I’ve tried leaving Stormwind, logging out and logging back in, and nothing works. The quest isn’t available at the board either or in the adventure guide.
I’d like to be able to do BfA content so I can farm Mechagon and Nazjatar mounts and pets on alts, but I can’t unlock that content unless I “start” BfA.
I faction changed to alliance and have the same issue. I have the quest for Anduin’s War Council but I cannot turn it in as Aunduin is not there. Is this a bug?
Idk what’s going on, I can’t even get the quest to come up in the first place.
same here. i just got a rogue to 50 doing chromie leveling and the quest wont pop up even after relogging and disabling all addons.
i never saw “Hour of Reckoning”, all i got was “Tides of War” and was taken straight to Boralus Harbor.
honestly, this patch being broken 600 ways from Tues never should’ve been released. it too should’ve been delayed until it was 100% fixed. #JustSaying
Quite a lot of the bugs that are appearing since the patch was released did not happen on the PTR or Beta. It is not unheard of for large patches, especially ones that change the game as much as this one, to affect a lot more than the limited data from testing shows. There are only thousands of players on the test realms, there are millions on the live realms.

I can confirm i made a fresh lvl 10 dark iron dwarf no bfa quest popped for him. so i ade a void elf same thing there is no bfa quest. the last one i made was 2 days ago and everything was fine then
Commenting to say the same thing is happening for me. Leveled this KT from scratch in Pandaria, at 50 got chromie timed out automatically. Went to SW, got quest to meet Magni in Silithus, got Heart of Azeroth, but no quests in Boralus or SW to start questing.
No Anduin in throne room due to SL, no message on Adventure Board and no quest to pick zone. Can’t even go to Zandalar at this point.

I’m still broken on several characters, but I did hit 50 on one of the broken ones. After hitting 50 I was able to bypass the problem by going to the mage tower portal to Boralus. So maybe this will work for you too?

It’s still broken even on people who have leveled all the way to 50.
Those same people when they check their horde characters work flawlessly, this appears to be an Alliance-specific bug because they moved Anduin and replaced and/or removed the questgiver at the docks.
Made a new Void Elf, didn’t have the option on my map, hero’s call board, or at chromie. Figured I’d level to 30 at least because then I have flight and they can’t gatekeep beyond that, riiiiight? Wrong. Still nada.
I have a number of alts I didn’t level in BFA but were max in Legion. All of my Horde toons are able to start BFA content at 45 no problem. None of my Alliance toons are able to. After the Lordaeron quest there is no follow up quest to start. Seems broken…
Even went out to Magni but he aint talking. does it even unlock at lvl 50?
Even when reaching level 50 it wont show up, I am rather confused as to where to find the quest…

Same issue with my 45 Human Hunter. She was doing Legion when she got squished to 41. Finished up what I was doing out there and when she hit 45 came back to SW to head over to BFA. I have had zero issues starting the quests and getting to BFA on my level 40-45 Horde toons, but there is nothing for me anywhere on this toon. Wtf, Blizzard?! I really would like to finish up these last five levels in BFA.
You need to post in Bug Reports. Customer Support does not fix bugs. QA, who does fix bugs, does not take bug reports from Customer Support.
