Player base as a whole is pretty low skill so I’m shocked it took them this long to ask for nerfs
And why is that an issue? We’re week #7…
NOBODY killed Yogg-0 back in original WOTLK before TOC was out, except maybe Stars but not even sure.
Wait, ret is below frost mages, arms warriors, beast mastery hunters and sub rogues?
See… nobody gives a damn about your damage, people want your buffs and your utility in raids, nobody cares if you are below the boomkin and you will be a god in ICC when everything is undead and you get your 2pc.
As a former ret paladin in WOTLK with Shadowmourne, I can assure you you’ll be fine.
Those are all traditional PvE specs?
And yeah…
At the time the buffs went in, rets were at arms/frost level, and below BM…
We were better than subtlety rogues though!
People didn’t want rets for buffs. They brought holy/prot for those. Paladins were the least represented DPS as a class in Algalon kills.
The utility didn’t make the spec valuable enough.
The buffs made sense. Ret is fine now. They aren’t just needlessly an extra step lower than every other class in DPS potential anymore.
Funny part is we are actually playing in the patch where they tried to make frost mage a pve spec by handing it buffs.
I recall them doing that in a bit of a half hearted “this isn’t going to be enough, but it’s better than nothing for your pvp spec” manner.
Could just be fuzzy memory there though.
It’s not an issue.
Hmm fair, for me personally if I don’t finish a tier by the next one I just move on to the next BUT I think the scaling duty finder system in ff14 is great. You can basically scale everyone to the level of the content, and even lock them into a content appropriate item level. If they implement something similar in wow, no complaints from me!
these are the supposed nerfs. Seems fake. Ulduar hardmode gear already nerfs the instance itself. Nerfing hard modes doesn’t make a lot of sense. The ONLY boss i can see them nerfing is maybe Algalon, but definitely not by this much. The fight itself is very easy. Only 3 mechanics to watch out for. So if they do nerf it I can see them nerfing the damage output on tanks by 10-15%
Also nerfs to the razorscale berserk timer but no nerfs to mimiron, the hardest hardmode outside 0 light. Hmm yeah, no.
Yeah, some of that list would go well beyond the final tuning (black hole explosions didn’t get nerfed by 50%), so probably fake.
When the lowest even the best guilds where getting him was 35% and 3 healing it already, it was WAY overtuned, especially for the 2nd hard mode of the instance
They also put the ilvl of hardmode gear up past icc10. That’s why the fights are harder. If you were doing marrowgar 10m in naxx gear that’d be kinda hard too. That’s the point. HMs are optional and nm ulduar is a joke so…
There has not been anything official from blizzard They gave us the hardest version of the raid And if they are. Going? To nerve. It at.
Which if you want my opinion I think they should because I really think I’m not going to see everybody But I think the majority of the Classic community doesn’t want super hard raids Perfect example pre nerf ssc and tk A lot of people burned out and a lot of people came back After the bt.
And ssc and tk Nerves so I’m willing to bet the same things gonna happen when toc comes out But There has been nothing official now.
Nerf it please
Officially cleared all hardmodes including Algalon. So if they nerf i wont be upset considering my goal is to clear all content before nerfs.
Well put.

Why would they nerf it ? The item level is higher than it was in OG wrath? Players are better (most) than OG wrath. If they do nerf it I wouldn’t count on it until TOC releases and even then highly unlikely as toc item level is even higher to help you in Ulduar.
2 reasons.
The first one is that they said they would in an interview before Ulduar release.
The second is the cutting edge achievement that they added implying that the nerfs will come on, or before the next raid tier.
yes please… buff my kitten, they’re the most hardest dps to play in wrath rn
Ulduar isn’t hard, people are just bad. The philosophy shouldn’t be making effort to make content easier for people who won’t make any effort to get better.
