His gripe isn’t with the position of the bars, it’s the visual art style and design choices that were changed and we have no control over utilizing those old elements that is the point of frustration.
First thing I did was turn those off
Im sorry…but I dont get how THAT affects your game play in any way.
boxes not sizeable, etc…ok…but youre complaining about ART that you can literally ignore or even disable?
it is on the front end, to be fair. The UI is how the player interacts with the game and if they change the art or massively overhaul it, there’s gonna be a lot of pain points that ultimately DO affect your gameplay. You do everything through the UI, it’s your front end experience. IT’s understandable to see frustration stemming from changes to it.
It’s the finish it’s why people like classic mustangs vs a Tesla.
I’d rather have a gas guzzling 69 fastback mustang vs a self driving Tesla with all the bells and whistles.
I liked my classic HUD and UI had no complaints or issues this new system is an electric car in a red state at this point to me
They infact did not. You will notice the 2 sets of five action bars on the right hand side no longer exist.
sorry…not even close to buying this.
NO ONE is so obsessed with that little silver dragon that they are unable to play the game because its different.
IF someone is that far off base, maybe its time to sit down and have a hard think about ones priorities.
And yet here we are, clearly talking with one another and others with such same obsessions that are bothering them. I’d much rather be able to air all of this out and get it out to blizzard’s ears in whichever form possible, through in-game, forums, or feedback in the support page. I’m not asking you to buy it, more so understand that people will have small things, that ultimately break the deal for them, it’s not that uncommon of a theme.
My carry guy is a $1000 Beretta Cheetah. VERY finely finished. Like a peice of art.
The glock is an ugly squared off lunky looking block of pure garbage to my eyes.
Guess which gun is more reliable?
Theyre both about exactly the same as far as USE goes. Id dare say that $400 glock MIGHT actually be able to do stuff my Beretta might not be able to.
The UI is fine. some little art thing isnt keeping anyone from playing the game properly.
uh…you can move those right back over there. literally
You can absolutely put action bars in their place though, so I’m not sure why that’s a big deal, I guess
lol. Im VERY confused why he even mentioned bar placement…we can move them anywhere now.
Can someone wake me up when Blizzard gives us an option to revert back exactly to this with a single click of a button?

careful about posting image links…you’ll be accused of stealing email addresses lmao
I am also very dissatisfied with the new interface, but thanks to the advice of someone on Reddit, with Bartender I have managed to do this, I know it is not the same, but it is quite similar: h ttps://imgur.com/n7psl37
I won’t lie, I wanted to punch a dev in the face when I saw the change, but then I played around with it and I like what I came up with a bunch more. The new UI is pretty awesome, imo.
do u people really play the game by using the actions bars on the side of ur screen / the border of the bottom of the screen? how in the world, why in the world, how do u see anything if u don’t have a WA under ur character
how do u see ur cooldowns, how do u see what procs you have, how do u play the game with ur actionbars at the corners of the screen
Looks nice, still a lot of pain points but I’ll be setting up my bartender in a similar fashion to this. Super dissatisfied with the side bars covering the bag slots whenever I’m dragging something on the 2 leftmost bags.
Yes, there are a lot of people that ultimately play differently Anxxy, it might seem bizzare to you but it’s overly familiar and intuitive to others.
Epic BGs are such a mess with this convoluted UI lol
Last night I dipped my toes into two quick matches (IoC popped first), and:
- 40 raid frames really “clutter up” like half the screen, whereas before they neatly fit into the lefthand portion of the screen
- teenie-tiny “fine print” sized UI icons for the boss NPCs
- Capping addon barely works, no one knew what the %'es were on doors, had to manually look at the gates with our own eyes to “estimate” what they were at
- the “reinforcements” counter can’t be moved, and “overlaps” with your active buffs/debuffs
- random DCs for no reason, teammates also DC’ing randomly and then coming back (“Player A has left the battle.”… “Player A has joined the battle” about 10 seconds later)
Next game Wintergrasp, and at times 8-10 players from both teams would randomly DC. For example, Alliance team would randomly dip down to 32/40 players and Horde team randomly dipped down to 30/40 players. The chatbox was just a cascading waterfall of “Player X has left the battle.”
I got randomly DC’ed 3 different times, a little “fatal error” message box would pop up and then the entire client crashed and kicked me back to the desktop
Instability, “LUA” errors, and issues galore , it’s clear the new UI was not tested AT ALL in any of the epic battlegrounds (as evidenced by “overlaps” left and right, scuffed boss NPC icons, etc)
