you can adjust the UI so it’s in the same position it was before the update. It took me 5 minutes. I get not liking change, but they gave you the tools to change it back…

just drag it all to where it was originally then, its basically there, just move the health bars back up to the top left…

i get not liking change, by this level of drama and pageantry over some bars is getting laughable…

New Ui blows away the old UI. That is all.

I think the core issue is the fact that it just is not the same aesthetically, moving frames around is a hassle (why force the player to do something that they didn’t need to do in the first place), some of the unmodifiable parts are extremely questionable (why is the minimap so big, what is with the mini icons at the bottom right, exp and reputation bar, etc), and why force everyone to use this new ui when they could’ve added it as an opt-in option instead.

I feel like they could’ve gotten a lot more feedback having rolled it out live as an option, as opposed to keeping it confined in the beta where their feedback space is a bit more limited (as first few passes sure I get that it’d be ideally a beta situation, but just dumping it on the masses without adressing the things you can and CAN’T do over the previous ui?)

They really should have beta test this stuff before it went live.

So do people complaining about this not know that there’s an edit mode or what?

I think everyone is well aware of the edit mode function of the UI, but moving and resizing frames isn’t something that should’ve been put on the user for a default, and aside from that the design choice of the new ui isn’t appealing to some, myself included, which is one gripe we can have with it.

agreed. it SHOULD have defaulted to something akin to the previous set up so no one HAD to change it at all

Just get bartender4 it isn’t perfect but looks more like the old one.

I might give it a shot, but this again gripes me in a way. I don’t MIND using addons, but the matter of fact is I might just have to go out of my way to get an addon to modify something that I personally saw no need in changing. I just honestly would’ve loved them to have both UI styles in, and not just default to the new one.

hmm… but I like this new UI more but hate the group loot -_^

I never had to use a ui add on until now but the best thing about bartender4 is it is just one and done one is all you need and from what I am seeing as I mess with it is there are actual presets to further make it like the old ui.

If people want the UI diff that’s what add ons are for.

Getting more used to bartender4 and they have three classic presets and all three have the original gryphons plus they all really do look like the original ui so again anyone who wants the original ui or close to it get bartender4 off curseforge.

I liked everything how it was. Frames were easier to see and if people want bars reconfigured there’s add ons for that. People who want their interface to be diff and like using add ons go download them. Why should people now have to go download add ons to use them as subtract offs or w/e you wanna call them. Old UI was perfectly add on-able. Just doesn’t make sense.
