[TWW Spoilers] Thralls storyline

I sort of ignored this because DKs got screwed in Shadowlands and i thought “OK well its not only shaman theyre picking on” but

  1. At least Bolvar was nominally involved and is treated like a DK

  2. I hadn’t realized they put that much emphasis on the Druid.

Im just at my wits end with this class. Its the small things like “Give the Ardenweald soulshape forms to Shaman as glyph options”

We wont do that, but we WILL release more druid and belf cosmetics. Id rather they delete the class than keep treating us this way.

That thought has crossed my mind. I hope its filler but ive been burned by Blizzard before.

Thank you for being realistic about this.

The answer is simple. The reason Thrall struggles with the Elements is because he’s not an Orc but a Human with green skin and humans can’t be Shamans.

Yeah, I understand the hope for sure. I’ve wrestled with whether I should be more vocal about the story beats I’ve experienced, because I’m not going to lie. There are a lot of weird mishaps and first draft feelings to it that are mind boggling after the team–in parts–has admitted in some fashion or another that they need to do better by the game’s narrative and lore post shadowlands.

Its hard to know, in an Alpha, whats worth criticizing and what isnt. Im glad its not me, but i appreciate your work on the Alpha. You guys make the game better for all of us.

I don’t even main shaman and I still write that in as an in-game suggestion every now and then.

We know that they can tie other cosmetics into what you have selected for your soulshape because it works for the toy, seems like a no brainer to just give shamans a glyph that’s just “your ghost wolf uses the appearance of your soulshape form”.

Even better, it would send a swarm of shamans running back to engage in Shadowlands content, they love their engagement.

There is a Mulan song in here somewhere…

That’s what it’s quote from haha. Just thought it fit thematically for a warrior trying to become a shaman(again)

Sending good vibes that maybe shaman’s getting the warlock and druid treatment via barber so they can have a bunch of ghost wolf forms. If they want to show good faith, give an actual wild gold or elemental plane creature that ghost wolf form comes from or can come from for each race. No more default wolf because they decided a while back that it’d be easier to strangely say Lo’Gosh from draenor is also somehow Goldrinn.

No joke, in TBC when I was leveling my mage in Arathi I had that song on repeat on YouTube while aoe farming. Freaking love that movie.

We call our dog little brother all the time. XD

Honestly at some point Blizzard should do a cosmetic pass on races and classes in general in the game and just add a ton of options. Make it one of the features of an expansion if you want.

It’d probably be pretty well received, especially hitting up some of the stuff that aren’t elves/human that tend to get a lot of the focus whenever they add a little bit here and there.

In case you’re not aware, they named him that in the movie because in the original story Mulan had an actual little brother lol

That’s what they were supposed to do in Shadowlands, they added a bunch at the beginning and then just… stopped :dracthyr_shrug:

I guess they keep adding a few hair colors every patch or so to be able to claim they’re still doing something.

Evokers have Fury of the Aspects, Mages have Time Warp, Hunters have Primal Rage. They named the spell differently for Classes as they added more copies to the game. Yes the Horde got Bloodlust and Alliance got Heroism but it was kind of out date to try and keep it named something so similar sounding. Kind of glad we have new stuff now.

Smolderon wasn’t exactly our best buddy. He’s gonna burninate if he can, regardless if we’re there or not. The real question is much like the Undead Scourge after Shadowlands… who’s gonna lead them now? The Scourge got completely hand-waved away which is the ultimate goal of Blizzard with the Firelands: move on to next shiny thing, address massive plot holes never.

Eh, it’s been said that there’s basically a bunch of the more intelligent/powerful Scourge that survived WotLK acting as warlords basically just fighting each other for control endlessly. I’m sure it’ll get addressed in Last Titan when we go back to Northrend.

I guess the fire plane is probably going through something similar. Just odd that we never got really any explanation for the Smolderon teamup, despite his forces being like half the raid.

I mean…asking why the fire elementals want to burn a verdant plane of existence is kind of a dumb question. As for the team up, I always got the feeling it was a partnership of convenience

I don’t really think it is, considering they were more or less allies last time we encountered them and they didn’t seem interested in letting Azeroth get destroyed by the Legion.

I’m just saying it would have been nice not to have to make assumptions.

I mean, sadly whenever you get ONE moment where a Horde character actually have significant relevance or aren’t just an Alliance support character — You tend to get hoards of people on the forums screaming a tantrum: “Horde favouritism!! Horde favouritism!!! Just like always.”

— which we know is hardly the situation & barely the case, but those lot will argue otherwise regardless. lol

It is true, if horde gets anything it’s favoritism

Meanwhile alliance get multiple xpacs in a row

Horde lore is kind of a head scratcher. You have the forsaken break free from the lich king as this whole story hook. Then you introduce this whole domination magic thing, in an xpac about death, during SL. You have their race leader have a huge story role. And then…

Then we have the crown of wills…smh.

I’m not surprised thrall is back at it again. Metzen may just be picking up where he left off in his head.

to simplify, I mean i was there at the wedding, weren’t we most of us? He got married and then spent his life as a good husband
