Two twitch drops for wow revealed

I wouldn’t mind the shop if WoW was F2P. But as it stands we pay $15 a month and $50-$80 expansions.

Shops really have no place in games that are buy to play with a subscription.

Yes Indeed!

Absolutely no one remembers that the Pandaren Monk pet was a Make a Wish charity pet.

It’s now been on sale twice and given away through the Trading Post.

No one lost their minds over that.

OP is just lying and trolling.

Also anyone who spent hundreds of dollars on TCG cards only has themselves to blame.

I don’t remember Dottie being a MAWF pet. I remember her being a cash grab pet. Daisy was Doctors Without Borders.

Dottie was a Charity Make a Wish pet that came out in 2019 to buy from Dec 3 too Dec 31from the Shop.

Wonder how many of these folks dumping on Blizz actually bother donating to charities when they aren’t getting promotional items in exchange for their money.

Think of it this way. The sub prices haven’t gone up. I’m pretty sure this helps with that

If $10-15 means that much, that you’d wait four to five years to not have to pay for it, I think you need to re-evaluate whether or not a subscription based game is in your budget.

The purpose of it was to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Making it a Twitch drop now doesn’t erase that donation.

If the pet served its purpose in initially raising money for charity in the past, how are they wrong now? :man_shrugging:t5:

I just wish they’d come up with new cool stuff for these types of promotions, it’s not like there isn’t a treasure trove of unused mounts and pets already in the game files, why not give them away so everyone can get something new, instead of giving away old things that people already have?

Because not everybody has them. It’s not like they’re not doing new stuff. They can do both.

They do reuse names in this game.

No it wasn’t. It was a promo in packs of cards for however match the pack cost. $15? Idiots reselling it for $500 after the fact are nothing but exploiters trying to create entirely seperate markets from Blizz. The market falling out from under them is nothing but poetic justice.

As for Dottie, it was merely another store cosmetic with some proceeds going to charity. It served its purpose just like every other store pet that came before. I don’t think blizz is gonna ask for the charity to return the money donated.

Neither of these items were in-game achievements. They were both promos. Promo/store cosmetics are perfectly acceptable as twitch or prime rewards. All blizz is doing is rehashing old marketing campaigns.

It’s more about the morality of the situation.

Dottie was a charity pet, and should have stayed a charity pet. If they wanted to bring her back, keep her as a charity pet.

Having it as a amazon prime drop seems wrong.

You can guarantee now that people will think twice about buying a charity pet

This.

Literally anyone upset by this are actually outing themselves. They’re quite literally saying “I only cared about this pet for its perceived prestige and rarity for purchasing it off the store and nothing to do with donating.” As hilariously sad as that is.

Wait. Is this true??? That’s freaking hilarious :joy::rofl:.

Just goes to show you doesn’t it? What a farce this thread is. SMH.

The sheer nonsense in this comment is astounding.

There is no morality. Good lord. It’s just a freaking pet that they happened to tie to a charity for a short time.

Do you get this ridiculous when you see a charity item in a thrift shop or online being sold after the event is over? Did you get mad when M&M’s continued to sell pink M&M’s after the initial beast cancer charity event they did? How about McDonald’s? Amazon? College merchandise from charity events?

Do you want me to keep going??

Yep. This is how stupid people sound in this thread. No different than M&M’s or Coke charity events where the products are still sold.

But leave it to Zuma to make crap up and then not even research his own bad troll first.
