Should have brought it back for another charity, not some garbage twitch promotion.
If it was already in the shop then w/e. Just standard twitch trash i guess.

You really have no earthly clue what you are talking about and are just having outrage for outrage sake basically. The pet? Already been in the shop lol. How do they make money giving away something they charge for, for free?
Cool. can I have your stuff?
It’s just a cash shop pet. There is literally NOTHING special about them. They were ALL first released to go towards charities— some of them were only partial funds went to the charity. They were ALL just pets Blizz had sitting in the game files that were created a while ago that they got together with a charity for a while to raise money and then sell on the shop.
Do you get this upset at every company that does this?? Do you not comprehend that the charity got their funds??
Seriously, there is not a logical brain cell in half the people on this forum.
oh boy, it’s the resident stirrer, zuma, back with another amazing take… /s
Notice how he only posts when some promotion comes out, come on people you should know better by now lol.
You’re welcome.
It’s not just about the pet. Sure the event is done and the charity got it’s money good. But it’s the morality of it.
A charity item that was used to get money towards a charity, is now being used to just benefit blizzard
I’m so sorry, I’m out of likes for the next 17 hours!
So that is a no to the stuff?
They aren’t getting any money directly. They are having people watch other people play the game. Once you’ve watched long enough, it appears in your collection. If you have a subscription, you can let it follow you around.
If someone resubscribes just for an alpaca pet, that is a bonus but Blizzard isn’t making money off the pet.
When a charity event ends and Blizzard sells the pet for $10 in the digital shop for eternity, they are making money. And they have almost always done this. Only recently have they started taking items off the digital shop to give them away like this.
Corporations have no morality. They have one purpose and that is to increase value for shareholders by selling goods and services.
Welcome to the entire world, sir and/or madam. Who cares if an item is sold later?? THE CHARITY GOT MONEY. They’re not taking back the charity money. THESE WERE NOT CREATED FOR THE CHARITY. They were pets sitting in the freaking database that they chose later to use for charities.
Stop acting like you’re on some moral high ground. This is the most nonsensical thing I have ever heard in my life.
The purpose of it being a charity pet was to make money for a charity.
That purpose has been served. So why not release it again?
The money raised was already done. She’s no longer a charity pet. You can donate to Make a Wish all the time.
We don’t know that. And I’m not gonna get offended over something made up.
This is me when i read that:
Uh…no? It shows that they can recognize a deadline existing.
Dottie was for charity, which is good. Dottie is no longer for charity, and hasn’t been for quite some time, which is fine. What they do with it now that the deadline has passed is up to them.
It’s the opposite. An item Blizzard created to make money on the Pet Shop was used for a month or two to raise funds for a charity, and after the drive was over it went on the pet shop. At least half of the pets there were used as charity pets first.
This is great news, most charities are scams, so I don’t support them and now I have the knowledge that I won’t miss out on the cool items just for refusing to participate in said charity.
so you think the item itself is inherently tied to the concept of charitable donations. interesting.
just curious, how is it benefiting blizzard to give it away for free now?
