"Two Forms" should be a TOGGLE!

Humans can’t be druids, and it’s fun to be in worgen in combat and not worgen when not in combat. Adding an autotoggle is just a small QoL feature.

Yep.

I’m not asking to fundamentally change anything. All of this is already possible with the options we already have. It’s just annoying. And we have the tech to eliminate that annoyance now. So let’s implement it.

The “Humans can’t be Druids” crowd is cute. Not only are Kul Tirans right there… but the existence of Worgen as a race is entirely predicated on the existence of Human Druids.

Why play a worgen at all if you want to run around as a human , just play human . My Wargen never go into human form

I know, right! And clearly Blizzard agrees with you! They would never let Worgen run around as Humans! I mean, how ridiculous would it be if they added a button that allows Worgen to become Humans for no reason?!

I will preface this by saying I believe the button is good, so those that wish to look human when they want (outside of combat currently anyway) can.

That said, I often wish the button had never been added, so a vocal number would stop trying to change the Worgen race into the ‘Gilnean human that sometimes may turn into a wolf’ race to just to fit their ‘real world’ werewolf fantasy.

But in the end to each their own, more options are good as long as they aren’t forcing those who want to play their Worgens as Worgens to be human.

… that’s literally what they are, though. Even if they spend all their time in wolf form.

Thus it is not ‘literally’ what they are, what they are is Worgen who can sometimes change back to their original Gilnean human form, not a Gilnean human that sometimes may turn into a wolf, it is the Worgen race, not the Gilnean human race.

But as I said, to each their own, as long as they don’t try to force Worgen to be a human if they don’t want to be.

My Worgen is a wolf-person with a useless racial button that makes them look bad. As well as Running Wild.

True and false. You are biased towards your own opinion. Genn Greymane is a Human and a Worgen. He mostly stays in Human form. He fights in both forms. Player Gilnean Humans have full control of their form, except when they are enraged from being in combat. When you enter combat, you automatically shift into the Worgen state. It then makes sense that when you leave combat, you automatically shift back into the Human state.

No one is saying it should be permanently one way or the other, but to give the player the option to play Worgen how they want to through a simple modification of the current skill to what the Dracthyr get. Changing “Two Forms” to a toggle to achieve this, is simply a quality of life upgrade, instead of having to manually click the button repeatedly.

Genn also specifically has said in quests & books he distastes what he is, and would remove the curse if he could, and is deliberately trying to stay human as much as possible and only ‘release the beast’ when he has to for the edge.

Besides Darius & family, and Genn and his wife, almost all worgens portrayed in WoW are just their natural selves as the Worgen race, as again it is the Worgen race, not the Gilnean race.

And as I’ve said for the 3rd or 4th time now, to each their own, more options are good and let people have what they want, as long as they don’t try to force Worgen to be human if they don’t want to be.

I agree and your opinion is just as valid as everyone elses. If you want to play Worgen without ever going into Human form a single time, ever, then you should be able to do so.

The great thing about Worgen is the flexibility they have to transform into different forms. Certain people will be more biased more towards one form than they other. It’s good all around.

I don’t usually knock spelling, but when you trip yourself up trying to spell “worgen” you obviously don’t play that race very often.

And why play worgen at all? A worgen is a werewolf. Part of being a werewolf is being able to exist in human form. The rules for playable World of Warcraft werewolves is they must be in their wolf form during combat, but can opt out when not in combat. If you don’t like this rule, take that up with Blizzard. There are some amendments to this rule I would like as well, like full moons or just nighttime like was the case in Pyrewood village. But this is not the conversation we are having.

If I had the choice I wouldn’t have done the quest that gave Two Forms. I’ve since heard there was a way to bug it. With my current playstyle though I’d like the option. When it comes to the people who want to be fulltime humans, yeah I don’t get it either. They have been pretty much shut down in this thread, so I’m not concerned about that being changed.

Just keep in mind, as I stated above, the IN GAME werewolf fantasy has always included a human form. Those people who want human form even have a point during the day, but if they are honest they should want to be forced into form during the night.

Exactly it.

As I’ve said before, the “beast within” fantasy loses its potency if the beast is always on the outside.

I wonder if we’ll see the change before beta is over…

Blizzard has a habit of doing the laughable minimum for worgen. The customization options are so limited, if it were not for transmog, it would take someone familiar with worgen options to even see the difference between your character and mine. I suspect simply porting over the ability logic won’t happen without some sort of major campaign.

Make this happen, Blizz.

If done well. It probably would look right if you were a Human with Wolf Ears, and a Tail pretty much.

We need some of that extra-squeaky High Elf grease. No matter how much you use, it only gets louder.
