got the latest diva spray and skin from the latest overwatch drops but none of the others came through
I am in the same boat for the Firework. Tried disconnecting the account a few times, and cleared my cache. Nothing seems to work. I sent a ticket over at twitch asking if they can push it again like Jetsum mentioned, so i guess I wait there. Every other dropped worked fine, except for the firework(and i guess the hatchling, but I already had one so I dont think blizz would give me another).
Twitch told me it’s on Bizzard’s end and they would be the ones that would have to take action as all of the items have been claimed just not processed so now I’m just waiting on Blizzard’s devs to do their part.
Sounds like your account got unlinked about “when overwatch2 launched 3 months ago” and didn’t get relinked until “I disconnected it and reconnected it nothing changed” (4 days ago)… So even if twitch says you watched the correct amount of time, when the data was sent it didn’t go through because you were not linked?
everything had been connected they had been having a bug with the diva drops but they corrected it on their end the issue is that supports on both sides cant do anything its the devs that have to push things forward but they don’t look at the forums
There was some resolution for some players, but that came from Blizzard devs working with Twitch. There is something blocking some of the Twitch claims from showing on Blizzard’s side.
Posting in Customer Support is not going to get the issue resolved. There is nothing Customer Support can do to help. Tickets will not help. GMs are not able to give the claimed items without confirmation in Blizzard’s logs that you are eligible.
If you want it looked into, you need to file a Bug Report, or post on twitter @WarcraftDevs so Blizzard can work on a systemic fix.
Anything resolved here?
Same has happened to me with the swiftsteed Mount.
Funnily enough I got the fireworks and the pet drop prior to the swiftsteed. So my twitch account is fine. That’s how I know everything I have done is 100 percent.
Twitch says blizzard has to release it. Blizzard says they can’t do anything it’s twitch.
I just think it’s poor cs and/or poor design.
And I can’t get a ticket in properly for someone to action it, because the cs is a run around system designed to make people give up rather than get issues solved.
Hopefully I get my swiftsteed at some stage, however I have literally given up due to no help whatsoever.
Same advice that everyone else is told tell twitch to resend the code A ticket is useless a GM wouldnt give it to u anyways.
I have supported blizzard in previous post. However there is obviously an issue at their end and I was wrong to suggest it was end user error.
Just say there is an issue and sort it
There is nothing Customer Support can do about this.
There is an issue that Twitch didn’t send legible data to Blizzard for them to grant you the drops. Have Twitch resend the claim data to Blizzard so that Blizzard has a log that you earned it. They wont grant you the drop without having the log that you earned it and Twitch has that log.
from my experience twitch blames blizzard. Blizzard blames twitch. when I asked twitch to resend the info they said it was on the devs to make it work because the items had been claimed but not pushed through by the devs I’ve posted it in a bug report and on Twitter to the devs still waiting for a response
ive submited bug reports to those forums ive talked to mike ybarra even supplied images that would show that i have claimed the drops gms say they cant comfirm in their ticket resonse but i doubt saw the images and even if they did they cant help only devs can and they dont come here so what good is it for them to redirect me back to the forums or a self help article
They can’t help, correct. As was mentioned the last time this was brought up, Twitch drops grant a license to the account and game masters do not have the ability to grant it manually. They could give you the mount, but the system would notice that the license isn’t present on the account and would simply take it back.
Additionally, they cannot rely on screenshots as those are very, very easily doctored in this day and age.
Nine times out of ten, the self-help articles do help. But just like us, game masters are human and are incapable of reading minds so they cannot tell who has and has not utilized the available knowledge base to their advantage.
And semantically, yes, the developers do not come directly to the forums. However, there are teams that scour them taking notes of feedback and suggestions (when provided in the appropriate areas-- the Support forums don’t help in even the slightest in this regard) and passing them on to the developers. They may not be the ones actively reading the forums, but they see it all the same.
the last ticket response i got from the gms was that there were no known issues with the twitch drops that i had issues with yet there are tons of post that are about the drops and i have been through multiple ticket and bug forum posts and even here that im not trying to be rude to gms or customer service ive been seeking their help for months in contacting devs to fix this issue i have a backlog from 4 months ago of things that were claimed but never went through, twitch says only devs can do the work when i talked to mike he asked for some information i sent him the images of the inventory i explained the items that didn’t come through and im waiting to hear back from him the initial contact there was made Wednesday of last week so hopefully, that will help resolve the issue or at the very least he would pass it along to the dev team for them to do somehting about it.
GMs can only go by the logs. If there is no log, they can’t help you. They don’t use images. Images can be manipulated. I’m not saying you did that, but because it’s possible they can’t be relied on.
You need to post in Bug Report for QA to look at it, or General Discussion to bring it to the attention of the Devs. They do not come to the Customer Support forum for bug reports or feedback. Or you can use the in-game feedback option. Or tweet @WarcraftDevs
i have done all the things that they have asked the forums bug reports the self-help articles the in-game feedback option the @wowdevs they ignore any inquiry thats how i got to mike after months of this. as the gm stated they haven’t seen anything that would say there were issues with the drops but there are clearly many forums and many bug reposts that show thats not the case this thread shows thats not the case
The CS forum is peer to peer help, where Support Forum Agents can advise, as well. This isn’t a point of communication with GMS, devs or anyone else.
Advice has been given. That’s all we can do. If you have feedback, you can use the in game function or General Discussion.
Dachtymner, have you made sure that you not only connected your Blizzard account via the Twitch site, but also via the Blizzard site? Did you unlink your account and then relink the same account to see if that worked? Did you at any point change your password after connecting the 2 accounts? If that is the case, even though it will still show as connected, it isn’t.
Except for your ticket, you likely will not hear a response. In order to keep moving quickly, and PR reasons, it’s very rare for a dev to respond to a bug report.
I have heard far fewer complaints about the most recent drop than the older ones, so at least something has tightened up.
When was the last time you re-connected your 2 accounts? If they weren’t connected properly at the time, I don’t think anyone can help with this issue. I hope I’m wrong about that, and I’m sorry you’re having these problems.
